I just want to give a huge shout out to Rob for making this experience a really memorable one for me. The rest of the team is amazing as well! I met Geo, Josh and also was in the presence of Billy (but did not formally introduce myself haha). First of all, everybody is super friendly and that energy makes a person feel good, you know? Geo, the owner, is so kind and tries to make it work for each guest. I really appreciated that. I came in after work and I knew I was going to be on a time limit since it was maybe like 5:30 PM. Geo first said that he may not be able to take me, but possibly Rob can. Rob had two clients already waiting. He was kind enough to still allow me to stay and get inked! That really made my night because I know how exhausted I would be. Anyways, he gets done with his first client, then his second, now it is my turn. We had a commonality because his girlfriend is actually Filipina as well so it was like an instant connection. I felt very comfortable with him and he was super patient with me as well. Rob even stayed a bit later to finish my tattoo and I could not be anymore grateful. We talked about so much in the few hours that we spent together, but he definitely made my experience a really good one. I highly recommend this place to anybody looking to get a tattoo. I came in to get my very first tattoo ever and I was so excited!! I was welcome by Rob, who honestly made the whole process seamless. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and drew it up exactly how I imagined. The whole process probably took about an hour but it felt much faster. And I walked in without an appointment. It being my first time, the pain level was about a 4, maybe 5 in certain areas (the tattoo was on my wrist). At the end he explained the healing process and what I needed to do. Wow! So many fantastic artists in one place! Years ago, Josh Palmer did a traditional piece on both of my feet and it is impeccable. Josh is a great guy, too! AND Ric Cardenas did a gorgeous leg piece on my husband. I've seen Gio's work and would love to have his work on us also. Came here for a consultation after being scheduled over the phone. They told me to come in during the evening. Finally, I was there, but nobody even approached me or asked what I need. I finally approached someone and told him that I was scheduled for a consultation, they asked me to wait... WAITED FOR 1-2 HOURS ONLY TO BE ASKED TO COME BACK ON THE NEXT DAY!! Awful customer service. They should organize their scheduling system in order to avoid these kinds of things. Would choose to go to a different place instead. Read Less

Giving this tattoo parlor five stars because when I walked in the shop smelled clean... Like some type of freshness.  The artist greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. The artist who did my tattoo was really good at feeling things out with me as far as starting with what I had an idea I wanted on my arm.  The atmosphere is fun, alive, and social. All good people. Josh Palmer, world class artist! Got a large cobra/skull/peonies on my outer thigh. It is gorgeous. The shop was bustling with an even mix of female and male customers being tattooed, a few girls were in for some best friend tattoos. There was a nice breeze coming through the front door as it was a 70ish degree day out. Fun music, friendly atmosphere, not too close of quarters like it can be at other shops when they pack in as many tattooers as possible. All the guys working seemed polite and easy to work with. Right next to a yummy cafe or a few liquor stores if you need anything, and I was told sometimes they will even go and grab something for you if it's not too busy! I discovered this shop about 2 years ago while visiting stockton.  I walked in with a picture and Dan was more than welcome and eager to help me get this work done.  Dan has done quite a bit of work on my arms (about 6 pieces) and has done a great job.  His attention to detail and his judgement of color and placement have never failed me.  I can almost always set an appointment with him when I get the itch for a new piece.  The rest of the crew at QH are friendly, helpful, and entertaining.  This shop has been my go to and will continue to be, thanks for the all hard work and patience guys! Best shop in Stockton! The artists are all super cool and any of them are capable of doing the design of your choice. They all can come up with original designs easily. Dan is my artist my choice, but the whole again, pours talent out the ying yang and charge fair prices for their work. Hit them up, you won't be disappointed. Read Less

Quarter Horse tattoo in my opinion has the best artists in our area. The shop is off the wall with a few stuffed animals and I think a shark in a jar but everything is clean and sterile. No worries about bad equipment. Even the bathrooms are clean. I love everyone there. Josh Palmer does all my tattoos and I love each one!!! 0 stars. Terrible service, not very friendly people. I can't speak for the work itself but I was not impressed. I went in for a consultation and was told to go back the next day, I waited for over an hour after my appointed time and had I not gone back there, I don't know if I would have been helped at all. The artist told me he'd send me the sketch for my tattoo which took days before I even received it via text and it was below what I would describe as a basic drawing. I have been getting tattoos for many years now and have some amazing art work on me by some very skilled tattoo artists and I have to say Rye over here at Quarter Horse ranks right up there with them. I came in with a few pictures of what I wanted one where the shading was too light and one too dark so he could see the exactly what I wanted and he found the exact middle but he went above and beyond and made it better.
