Karin was referred to me by someone that I noticed in a shop with an intricate tattoo, well done and looked to have the detail I was seeking for my next one. I immediately contacted her, asked her to help me with a cover-up of a poorly planned lion tattoo on my arm I had done when I was a younger. We had an initial meeting to discuss what I was looking for; I left the artwork up to her once I gave my general description. Returned a week or so later and we sat down and I was happy with her proposal. Initial consult and tattoo approval was conducted very professionally and Karin was also fun to chat with. About the work: Her studio is clean, her process for laying out tools and clearing/cleaning her work space is impressive. She has non-compromising rules to follow while in her workspace. With regards to cleanliness and professional conduct I would recommend her to my closest family members. My work took four sessions, every session was three hours with exception of the last at about two hours. She is very conscientious of your comfort and her work is awesome. As long as I live in this area, she will be the only artist I go to for more work. Great artist and a genuine good person. Recommend you visit her and see for yourself!

Karin Ackerman has been my artist since 2011. Shes worked at many shops rated the best in san diego. Of my eight tattoos, shes done seven to include the project we're currently working on. Her realistic and neo-traditional work is unparalleled! She is a straight shooter, great artist and wonderful person. I will be hard pressed to find the same quality I've found in her and I highly reccomend her to anyone looking for new art, from your first tattoo to your fiftieth.

This review is long, long, long overdue. Karin is an amazing artist and one of the coolest people I've met. She took the terrible work I had done on my arm from some "Professional" and completely made it her own all the while incorporating all my ideas. She used a wide range of colors and used multiple design techniques to bring it to life. I hope to see her again soon. It seems like everyday someone is asking me "Who did your work?" Hopefully they are now clients. Thank you for being a true artist.

Karin is so exceptionally talented her tattoos are amazing! Color or black and grey she can do it all. She is also super friendly, makes your tattoo experience incredibly relaxed and easy going and she has an incredibly light hand. All of my tattoos have healed within a few days and she works in a very clean and sterile environment. I highly recommend Karin and I would never have another artist ever tattoo me again.

Karin was referred to me by someone that I noticed in a shop with an intricate tattoo, well done and looked to have the detail I was seeking for my next one.
