I got a piercing done here and while they did the deed just fine, I wish they gave me more instructions about cleaning and healing a piercing. The environment in general was a little uncomfortable because the piercer didn't make any conversation or tell me anything. Both of the Tattoos I've gotten from Mike Pesterre have been on point. He delivered them exactly as I had hoped and he pointed out a few of the flaws I had in my designs and improved them a bit so they'd age better on my body. The first tattoo I got from him was 4 years ago and it couldn't have gone better. Today was my first tattoo since then and I couldn't be more stoked on how it turned out. DO NOT GET A PIERCING HERE THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THERE DOING. My 16 year old bestfriend and i went to get her Month and half septume piercing a new one because the balls fell off and she's been leaving it up her nose. The peircer, who has the WORST attitude, initially looked at her piercing and gave her 2 new jewlery options, she wanted to mix and match the sizes of the balls and horseshoe so he made us buy both for $20, no biggie, then we asked if he could put the new piercing in and he said yes. She entered and sat on the chair because a 7 year old girl was on the piercing bed eating watching Tv. after he removes her piercing and opens up new ones he tells us he gave us a gauge size too big and "we could shove it through if we wanted but it wont feel too good" He poked and couldnt get it and after about the 5th shove we deicded we just wanted her old one back in because his rude comments and roughness was way to much and we wanted to leave so he goes to put the old one back and says "sorry it must of closed no refund i already opened the jewlery" like what the fuck. I will never go back and i dont ever reccommend i called and wanted to give him a chance to redeem was even more rude & hung up. I have an industrial piercing and one day my clumsiness ended up dropping the top screw of it in the sink. It was night time so I called to see if they did piercings and what time they closed. I told them my situation and even though they were closed, they were still finishing up a tattoo on someone else and allowed me to come in! My 13 year old daughter and her friend went in to get their cartilage pierced. They both had Amanda do it and she did a great job. She was really patient with them, they were kind of nervous and she was such a sweet, calming person. They got great after care instruction as well. We had gone to another place in Simi and did not get a good vibe from there at all - glad we left and came here instead. Amanda rocks. I had a piece done on my calf by Steven Bui and it came out better than I could have imagined! I came in with some images in mind and he was able to combine them while also adding his own touch to it as well. It has healed really well and I get compliments on it pretty often! So this is my 2nd time coming into this shop.  The first was to get my medusa pierced by Amanda which was an AMAZING experience back in October.  However,  i came in today a little while after they opened and was casually greeted by Mike.  I told him i was interested in possibly getting tattooed today and he pointed out his portfolio so i took a look.  Halfway through me browsing his artwork Mike picks up a phone call to the shop and a minute later he is cursing angrily on the phone.  I am the only costumer in the shop and obviously visible but that doesn't stop him from yelling at his friend for sexually assaulting some girl and going into detail about it along with other curse words,  a conversation that I as a potential costumer should NOT HEAR. Needless to say i shut the book,  put it back and got the hell out of there and I will NOT be going back. Totally unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. Read Less

Went to purchase jewelry at this establishment. First of all, the service was mediocre. My questions were not answered well and the salesman did not seem to know anything. I was sold jewelry and come to find out that it is completely the wrong type of earring and wrong size. When I purchased it, the salesman said it would fit. Came back today and I was told it was final sale, which was never made clear to me when I purchased it. There were no visible signs or warnings at the checkout of final sale on jewelry! Last night I went to Simi Valley Tattoo to get a Daith piercing. I have heard it relieves migraines and headaches . I did research on it and wanted to give it a try being if you have ever had a migraine you would understand how debilitating they are. Korey was the body piercer and did an AMAZING job. I did not even feel him pierce my ear and for this first time in months I had NO headache today. I would HIGHLY recommend giving it a try if you suffer from headaches. The first name that came out was Simi Valley tattoo and let me tell you they were absolutely right. I came in with an idea of what I wanted and Mike laid it out, sketched, and tattoed it on me that same day. Although Cazm predominately does grayscale work, he was happy to accept my original color tattoo idea and work with my photos over several hours to get just what I wanted. He was willing and able to make the necessary revisions to his concept drawings and the final product was just what I had in mind, with touches I didn't conceive of myself but very much enjoy. Came in to just buy a simple piece of jewelry, walked in to a lazy guy sitting on his butt texting completely rude and ignored me, I told him I wanted a piece of jewelry and he told me to wait for the girl in the back to get done piercing because she handles that and I thought that was strange but I said okay and sat and watched him just sit with his legs up on the chair texting . I'm not exactly sure how someone can work in a store and not know how to sell anything there ?? But I can bet it was just pure laziness . This is the best tattoo shop around for sure. Casm1 is such an amazing artist. He'a super professional and is a great communicator - a real pleasure to work with! He'll work with you on your design until you get it right and you'll leave so happy. His detailing and shading is incredible. I just got a tattoo with Casm and the results blew my mind. I've worked with about 8 different tattoo artists in the past and he is by farrr the best. I can't wait to work with him again. Who's afraid of piercings and tattoos ? This girl right here is- correction was. I had heard positive things about this place so I decided to give it a shot. I walked into this tattoo shop to get a navel piercing done. Mickey was sweet, and made me feel comfortable. It took about 15 minutes and wahla my piercing was done. I was so obsessed with the adrenaline rush I got when getting my navel pierced that the next day I went back to Mickey to get my nose pierced. The entire team here is so friendly and down to earth. Got a keith haring tattoo here a while back and i forgot the name of the tattoo artist but omg Worst Tattoo and tattoo experience Ever. the tattoo came out Hideous and im so embarrassed i even have it. the guy literally added orange circles (splatter) around it without my consent! and by the time i looked at what he was doing it was too late. i was so mad because it looks like i have a permanent rash on my damn arm. he also dug the needle so fn hard into my skin that the whole tattoo is scarred and my arm was swollen for more than a week. I thought i would have to go to the hospital because the muscle hurt so bad. Overall worst tattoo on my body, never coming here again, hope that guy got fired. Read Less

Came here a few months ago to get tattoos with some friends. They had been here before and seemed to have good experiences.  The employees seemed to be pretty professional and all of our tattoos turned out great and healed well.  I did find it a bit strange that I was the only one who's ID they photocopied out of the group...and then I was the only one who the tattoo artist added on Facebook. Update : 2/26/15 - Jose has reached out to me to clarify that the person who did my ink no longer works there. Thank you for the clarification! I came here few years ago for a simple tattoo and to this day I regret this impulsive decision. I believe it was the owner who actually did my tattoo which was a simple hello kitty design. During the outline, I noticed he was digging into me, but this being my 5th tattoo, I figured maybe I just wasn't tolerating the pain. Although the design was cute, it never healed correctly. Since then, it has had these random sharp and shooting pains in that particular area of my shoulder, and the whole outline is a scar... I can still feel the outline 5 years later. Like I mentioned before, this was my 5th tattoo, so I knew how to properly care for it afterwards. None of my other tatts have scarred or given me any sort of pain, ever. Since then, I have moved, and obviously will never go back. Lesson learned; you get what you pay for. Read Less

I got my nose pierced here about 3 months ago and it did hurt more than I thought it would but the piercer did a very great job. I was very satisfied and all I can say to describe the piercer is that the has a piercing in between her eyes and has short hair?? She was very informative and clearly took the time to make sanitation her #1 priority. She had a good attitude which made me less nervous and made certain I was satisfied where she was piercing. SHE was great.On the other hand, my boyfriend went into the shop today and brought the same stud that my nose was pierced with and the guy working wouldn't even look at it.  My boyfriend just wanted to know the size of the stud so he could purchase a nose ring in that same size. The guy told my boyfriend that he was "lucky he didn't kick him out" for holding up my nose stud which I soaked in alcohol for about 4 hours. My boyfriend then told him that I had cleaned it and the man then gave him attitude asking if I cleaned it with an expensive chemical formula. Simi valley tattoo and piercing didn't have the best rep in the area for awhile. But I went in last night for their grand re-opening and WOW! Mike the new owner has completely turned this place around. I was greeted by james(or jason,cant remember *sorry!*) the manager. He was very prompt and respectful.  My artist was Eric, I had a picture of a shutter I wanted tattooed on my wrist. Eric explained what was needed to be done to achieve the best possible quality with the art. He took his time with the piece and was not heavy handed at all! Eric does amazing line work and has a very steady hand. He was able to tattoo one of the most difficult shapes onto my wrist flawlessly.  I highly recommend simi valley tattoo and piercing to anyone looking for quality work and a great atmosphere with amazing talented artist. I've been here several times and have had mixed experiences so that is the reasoning behind the lower review. I first came here to get my ears pierced for a second time. I can't remember who did the piercing, but she was extremely good and took the time to make sure they were even. I give her 5 stars!The second time I came here was to purchase a new nose ring since my old one had fallen out and gotten lost. Brandon helped me and I told him what I was looking for and explained to him I had purchased the previous one I had from them. It was a smaller gauge than is normally pierced with, but I don't like the bulky ones. He kept arguing saying he never carried those and told me that I shouldn't have such a small one. I'm not sure what happened to the customer is always right, but he definitely doesn't feel that way. I give him 1 star.Don't come here if you are looking for something that isn't the "norm" for a piercing or if you don't already know what you want. I can't speak for the tattoo artists, but the piercers are hit and miss here. Do not come in when Brandon is working. He is rude and inconsiderate. Not the way to run a business. Read Less
