For the tattoo I received, though impromptu, it was over priced and the artist was completely disinterested. He seemed irritated inwas 2 hours before his closing time. 3 weeks later I arrived for my "promised touchup" to fix white lines in thick lined black art. His words were- not all tattoos are going to be perfect. You're always going to see imperfections. I told him I didnt want to impose, and asked if he was currently free. He said he was. I said I would like the touch up. He became visibly irritated and agitated in the way he was speaking, down to me at this point. He stated, if I wanted another tattoo, he would do one. I asked, are you saying you'll do my free touch up, or are you saying you'll charge me full price to touch up.your work? He said I'll charge you for another tattoo, because I'm not going to waste needles or material (black ink?) for minor fix ups. Isnt that what a free touch up entails? 1 star for you Mark. I’ve been going to Will for the last 7 years and absolutely love his work! The shop is very clean and the guys make it a fun and comfortable atmosphere. I can give him an idea of what I’m looking for and he can draw up exactly what I want. This is the only shop I will go to and completely trust. Highly recommend! Read Less

I have been going to Will at 1st Ammendment Tattoo for over 10 years. Will and the guys at the shop are top notch guys with great customer service. These people were super racist. The biker guy said colored inked wouldn't look good on me because of my brown skin. He also have me attitude and said he didn't have time to tattoo me. I'm sure that was him trying to say (I'm not gonna tattoo you cause your a brown guy). Awful customer service. I would never recommend anyone to come here. Read Less

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!! If I could give no stars I would...but I'll give one because I should have done more research. This was the absolute worst tattoo in which I had to go somewhere to have it covered which made it bigger than I wanted.  I was too embarrassed to go out with it and it was only the outline. The artist is very young and not experienced. I went off the other reviews thinking everyone would be good. The other artists checked it out and would say "that looks bad ass" but it was on my back and I wasn't shown until the outline was done and way to late. Called in a week prior and told them I needed an app for a simple tat and they said I won't need an app and that I should walk in (unprofessional already, no confirmations, no nothing). Next, still went in to give it a shot because of the reviews. Apparently, they gave me an apprentice!! Yes, an apprentice to do such a tattoo that's so simple and requires a lot of attention and profession to be done just right. I believe his name was Andrew. Why the hell would you tell me to walk in to get a tat as oppose to making an app and then say they're unavailable and quickly grab the apprentice of the shop just to make a couple bucks? Worst experience worst job ever!! I had my tat fixed at PirateLife Tattoo in north hollywood by Gino! Some place that actually takes their time and KNOWS what they're doing! I don't want to embarrass this shop more than this review already does but if any of you want a picture of my before and after please feel free to message me. I'll NEVER be back and I'll tell everyone how unprofessional this business is and what tacky work their artist did. Next time let your clients know before you shove an apprentice up their face! It's not my job to make sure the artist does everything right if I'm coming to a professional tattoo shop. It's the business owners job to make sure he serves his clients right and is honest. Thankfully, my tat is perfection now but I will always leave BAD reviews on whatever page I see of this shop. Also went to a doctor, he went down way too many layers. OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!!! For years I have been wanting a tattoo of The Danish flag. There was a certain way in my head and every place I went to couldn't get it right. After my mom passed a month ago I wanted something to honor her too. So I thought why not do both? My wife and I went to OMG Korean BBQ for dinner and I said lets go over there and see how that shop is. We walked and we were greeted by a guy (don't know his name) and asked how he could help. I told him what I was looking for, he advised I should talk to Will. I did and told him what I wanted, he said he could do it. I gave him a down payment and made an appointment.Well, DAMN!!! Will did EXACLTY what I wanted...them some. The work Will did is so amazing. I cannot thank him enough for the great job. Rob is amazing! He has done two tattoos for me and not only is he a true artist but his use of color is incredible. He did a piece on my back almost 3 years ago and I still get compliments on the color. I wouldn't have trusted anyone else to immortalized a family member in a tattoo for me. Read Less

I went to 1st Amendment for my first tattoo after visiting another shop and then walking out because I didn't like the attitude of the artists. I had an idea, a concept that I wanted to convey with my tattoo and Rob did an excellent job of designing exactly what I wanted, far better than the original idea I had. The entire tattoo process was relaxed and painless, the atmosphere was fantastic, with lots of funny stories and good laughs, and no battle of the egos between Rob and Will. Their aftercare advice is bang on! My tat healed in just over a week with no infection, and very little itchiness. I now proudly show off a tattoo expertly created by Rob, and can't wait to get the next one. My husband goes in for his next week with Will and is very excited. Read Less

I went here yesterday to get a tattoo on my arm. I had made an appointment with Riq the weekend before. There was only 2 guys in the shop the two times I went in, but each time everyone was really friendly and helpful. I got the silhouette of 7 crows on the side of my forearm, and Riq did an amazing job and I got exactly what I wanted. He's got 2 new customers with my husband and I. Got my first tattoo done here! ROB IS AMAZING! He did a quote on my ribcage, and did a GREAT JOB! I would recommend anyone, but if i go back i'm definitely asking for Rob. Only reason I am leaving out the last star is because it was pricey. $150 for "Not all those who wander are lost ... " but I was really nervous and wanted to make sure i recieved quality work on my first tattoo, so I decided to go here and pay the price and I SURE DID receive excellent customer service!Great skill and quality.
