Idk what's with the negative comments (they just posted a screenshot on their story) but I've been coming here for years just to get miscellanies things like punk band shirts and patches and they've never been anything but nice and helpful. A few months ago I went in to get my nose stud replaced with a hoop. The lady who did is was so friendly and seemed experienced. She complimented my Bikini Kill shirt and we talked about how she saw them in L.A. So as far as the one in Santa Rosa goes, this place is great! And my favorite place for patches. Horrible environment, disgustingly rude staff. I went there today with my friends to get naval piercing and my lip poked through. The piercer with black short hair and too many black facial piercings was short, rude, unhelpful, seemed like she did not want to be there. The young lady with black hair and multiple black facial piercings was unbelievable rude, unhappy, and short with my friend and I when we were about to get pierced . We were asking simple questions and she acted as if she couldn't be bothered to help us and was very aggressive.. We ended up leaving because she was so unprofessional and rude . The lady who works here with a bunch of face piercings and black hair is beyond rude. She seems miserable working here and won't genuinely help you with questions. She is very short and blunt. I love Maggie. She pierced my nose piercing, the stud was healing perfectly. I was 4 months in and cleaned it almost 3x a day. I decided to go change the hoop at the store and noticed they did not do a good job. The girl named roze changed it but I noticed she was having a lot of trouble putting in the hoop. She seemed Unexperienced at her job. My nose began to hurt and due to her poking me many times it got infected. Now I have a bump. Hopefully it heals right. Also her attitude was not welcoming. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked for her to change my hoop back to a stud. Not going back again. Don't recommend. Read Less

The lady was so nice. I walked in wanting a industrial re-done because last year I got it done at the hole things but the day after I forgot I was going to the middle of no where to go camping. Long story short it got infected and I had to take it out when I got home. But the lady inside said that my ear wasn't right for it and for my safety she wasn't going to do it But she helped me figure out other options and I ended up getting a rook piercing. Read Less

This piercing shop has a great variety of merchandise, such as clothing and novelty items, and body jewelry. The staff/piercers I've dealt with have been very friendly and knowledgeable, helpful and patient! My only complaint is the parking situation...I wish there was more available parking. I've been reading the reviews and I do see some negative ones, which I can't quite understand.  I went in yesterday, I was the only person there. Maggie helped me, answered all of my question about cartilage piercing and eased my mind.  She took her time explaining the aftercare and said it would be in the handout as well.  We went to the piercing room and she again took her time to prep and make sure the placement was what I wanted.  It had been a long time since I had a piercing so I had forgotten how much it hurt.  Yeah it was momentary and then it was over, I joked about getting more but decided to wait.  They have the most awesome selection of jewelry more than I had seen at the two other shops I went to.  She also knows her stuff and answered all of my question, the other shops I went to were pretty clueless.I'm so happy with my piercing and in 6 weeks I'll go back and have the jewelry changed out....can't wait for that!  Thanks for a professional and sanitary experience! I came here in June of 2017 to get a hoop insertion in my nose. All was fine and dandy then. I come back today (March 2018) to get the hoop out and another stud in, only to learn that the piercer who put in my hoop (Roze? idk) did it incorrectly, and now my nose piercing is closed up in the middle. So now I lost my piercing due to negligence and a bad piercer. I was also told that I was allowed to leave and come back due to their being a long line, and I would keep my spot. However, that was untrue, and I've wasted my afternoon here. Bad piercers and bad service. Go to loops and pierces and get pierced by Roy. Read Less

Got a dermal that was put in crooked(ended up being rejected soon after I got it  due to, poor placement, done at an angle, placed too shallow as well.) for an expensive piercing like this I would suggest going to better piercing place like loops & pierces. I stopped in here just last week to look at some jewelry, specifically for my ears.  I was satisfied with the visit and left with two pairs that I like -- on clearance even!  They have a pretty decent selection of jewelry, with different sizes, styles and mediums (e.g. wood, plastic, glass etc.).Now, while I did like what I found, the vibe from the staff member there was pretty uninviting.  Certainly not hostile or aggressive, but definitely didn't give me the impression that they wanted me there.  I realize some of these places are "hard-core" and "rough" and my image doesn't really scream that (or anything -- mine has more of a whisper :P), but still, it's a place of business.  And as a place of business, I expect that they want my business.  Pretty sure that's how it works. They're alright at piercings I've gotten my belly, tounge, nips and root done by them and my tounge piercing was not streight and also on one of my nips and my root piercing got infected twice until I went somewhere else and no more infections and they charge up the ass! Read Less

I'm delighted to write a review on this establishment. After careful research and walk ins at two other places I walked in at The Dungeon. I was greeted by Kelly with a smile. She asked if I needed help finding or had questions. (Normally I'm not shy at all, I am in regards to piercings that involve "needles".) I build up courage and off I went to ask. Kelly, is very knowledgeable and it showed. I had done my research by reading previous reviews and checking out The Dungeons Facebook page. There I read Kelly teaches new talent interested in the art of tattoos and piercings. Kelly went on to explain the process 1) hygiene/sterile 2) date/time 3) deposit 4) picked out the jewelry She cleared all my worries and answered my questions on the spot. So I booked a piercing for the next day with Kelly.The whole thing ideally for a dude is nerve wrecking. I was calmed and knowing what I was about to do involved a needle, I was very calmed. Kelly and I talked & shared some like minded experiences. Sooo. 1-2 eternity seconds and a squeal later... It was done. The piercing looks great. A month later and Im loving it, only regret would be not doing it sooner. As I mentioned, I did my research and walk ins. The Dungeon did it for me. Kelly, you're awesome! Do not go here!!! The girl did the worst job I have ever had on a piercing... and I have 26! I asked for a dermal on my chest, she basically laid on top of me, dug way too deep, then once it was in she said "oops", she broke the diamond in half from pressing so hard with the clamp! So after all that pain she had to take it out and put in another one!!! The second one she put in was larger than the original one I wanted, and to top it off, it sits at a slant, very noticeably crooked! I'm so upset. I went into the dungeon today to buy some new nose rings for my nose and decided I wanted to get a 2nd piercing on my nose next to my previous one. The piercer's name was Roze. She was very professional and patient with me. She gave me a few options of where the placement could go and talked to me through the whole procedure. I got my septum pierced by Maggie. She was great, the piercing didn't hurt, and I love the placement. She's really down to earth and present; kind and professional. This made my piercing a really good experience. It reminded me of the good ol days getting pierced in SF at Body Manipulations, Gauntlet, and Gottsi . I love The Dungeon... never gotten pierced there but I hear good things. I frequent the head shop in the back mostly (good selection of inexpensive glass) but would never buy the clothing; the women's clothing in particular is very cheaply made and hideously expensive (who charges $60 for a flimsy leopard-print cardigan?). I come here often, mostly for piercing needs. One of the newer piercers is a friend of mine and has done my lower belly button, my triple forward helix, and will be doing my  2nd nostril this saturday.  I was lucky enough to get both my belly and my ear for free because my friend is a apprentice and needed guinea pigs for practice lol. They are awesome there, they have always done their best to assist me in every way and Mickey and Kelly are awesome. My boyfriend also buys smoking stuff from the back room and it's his favorite place in town they have everything he could think of ever needing. Cannot believe how rude the people are who work here (and this is after multiple visits and lots of money spent). On my last visit, I waited at the counter for over 15 minutes while the girl working there idly chatted with her friends at the piercing counter. It was so rude because she knew I had already selected my items and just needed to pay (it would have taken her only a minute to ring me up!). Piercer couldn't answer any of the questions I asked, seemed very inexperienced and was quite rude. She old me a crappy piece of jewelry and couldn't fit it to my nose piercing. It ended up getting caught because she didn't know how to put it in right and the jewelry pulled through my nose and got imbedded in between my skin. It was stuck to where I couldn't get it out. Had to go to another place to have them help and they were astonished that somebody who claimed to be experienced in piercing sold me such a horrible accessory and couldn't answer basic questions that I had. My friend got his septum pierced here a day after I got mine done at a different place, and his experience was not the best. The jewelery the woman chose was too big, and he said his hurt very much, while mine didn't at all. He also bled a lot, while again, I did not. It was very pricey and they did not even give him salt for care. At Avenue Tattoo, they gave me salt, and gave me a paper with specific after care instructions, and the woman also gave me a lot o info verbally. Would not reccomend The Dungeon for piercings. Went in today to get my 4 (almost 5) year old daughter's ears pierced by Kelly. Kelly was very informative and made sure we understood that some kids have a hard time with the needle. She was patient, kind, and very sweet with my daughter. She allowed her to have a good breather between ears and my daughter allowed her to to pierce the second ear even though the first hurt. Even though my daughter was shy in the shop when we left she began talking about how cool the piercing lady was and how she talked to her like her (preschool) teachers do (which if you know how much she loves her teachers this is a high compliment). Please, please. WARNING. No one get their piercing done here. If you love your body and don't want pain, don't go here. I had my belly button pierced about a year and a half ago. It was expensive and the lady wasn't that professional but I didn't really care cause it was the only place open at the time and I was acting on a whim. Over the past two months, my piercing has been crusting and hurting slightly which I thought was because my uniform skirt is fairly tight and aggravating it. Well, I was wrong. Within the last week, the piercing has been rejecting out of my skin. It's been horrible, I'll spare you the details. anyways, I went to a professional who told me they sold me a 12 cent piece of jewerly for $50. It was made in China from a cheap piece of metal that could've seriously hurt me. Now I'm stuck with a scar on my stomach for the rest of my life. Thanks dungeon, you rock. Read Less

I can't get over this shop! They have such a unique selection of jewelry, something's you can't find at Hot Topic or Spencer's, for example. My friend and I got our ears pierced here and I have to say it was the best piercing experience I have had thus far. I got my cartilage pierced and he got his lobes pierced, both with needles. I used to go the Dungeons for piercings back in High School. Not quite sure why I did that! The piercer was always unfriendly and somewhat rude. I brought in several of my friends to her but she never remembered who I was. On top of that she messed up several of my piercings. My belly button was pierced sideways and too shallow. Which lead for it to reject, even though I took good care of it. Everytime I do come in they are not friendly.The prices are SKY high. I got my conch pierced here and it was 75 dollars! Anywhere else it's around 40. My old plugs I got from here were around 45 for each set, and these aren't for super nice quality ones. I would be willingly to continue to support them if the service was better.  I'm sorry but this place is a no go for me! I gave them my business and money for much too long Read Less
