She spent about 6 hours completing her work of art on my arm. I couldn't be happier with the results!!! It's a huge let down to finally realize that someone you looked up to in the artistic world is using computer generated patterns. To further this bad experience she is ignorant enough to stereotype artist who learned their craft in the prison system, by saying they are not real artist. If you are looking for celtic art of any sort, look no further. I don't care if you are two blocks from the shop or on the other side of the country, this is where you need to be.The shop is well kept, and just overall a cool place to hang. Very well decorated and comfortable. The whole process from the time you make your deposit to when you consult with Colin to the installation, is seamless. Pat and Colin are both so knowledgable in their trade and work together in a way that ensures you will walk out with a piece of art you love. Nothing but praise for Pat & LuckyFish. Having followed her from afar and for close to 2 decades I finally decided to take the drive and visit her in Santa Barbara. So glad I did. The artwork she laid for me is everything I dreamed about and more. The work itself speaks volumes to her skill. The line work is outstanding. Flawless. Her experience is clear and obvious when you see her work. Its been less than a week so my work is still healing but the compliments are more than plentiful. I booked online about two weeks out and made the deposit [required] to make an appointment. Since I wanted something custom and not off the wall or some other website I made a visit the day before my actual session. Meeting with Colin, her assistant, was comfortable. He is very helpful and seamlessly weaved my ideas and parts of multiple pieces into one. From there Pat drew the final piece that night. Like I said, it was everything I asked for. I would without hesitation recommend Santa Barbara Tattoo to anyone considering a Celtic style inking. The studio is easy to find being right on the main drag. It is convenient because it is literally just a few minutes and blocks off of Highway 101. Downtown Santa Barbara is minutes down the street where you can find lots of shopping and dining options. The beach is a few minutes further. Parking is limited to the street so keep an eye on the signs and mind your time accordingly. Beyond happy and would happily return anytime.
