I normally don't like leaving bad yelp reviews but,I walked in to my appointment at 5pm only to learn that my tattoo artist couldn't make it due to an apparent hand injury that had happened in the morning. It definitely would have been nice to know ahead of time so I could make other plans but no one informed me. The lady at the front desk was not very accommodating or apologetic about the experience. She said there was a back-up artist that could do our tattoos on site but that she couldn't fit us in at our appointment time and that we'd have to reschedule anyways. (also I wanted to get my tattoo by a specific artist & the back-up wasn't really my style). The experience was definitely unprofessional but overall, I just felt unwelcome at this tattoo parlor. I went to a different shop with a friendlier atmosphere and was able to find an artist to do my tattoo. I'm sure that there are some great artists who do work here, but the experience was just upsetting.

Got my second tattoo here and it was overall a great experience! From clean store to friendly artists. Austin did my tattoo on my ankle and did it perfectly, made the vision I had come true. I went alone and he was a great conversationalist as well as an artist, he made me feel really comfortable and had awesome stories to share. His artwork is beautiful, i was admiring some of his work while he was working on the tattoo. I definitely love the vibe of the place as well the artists. Reasonably priced too for what you get. My 5 year old has been begging to get her ears pierced and we have a tradition that all aunts have to be present. Theyvare all here today. Unfortunately all places we called had to be at least 10 years of age. Mileys only 5. Erin was so helpful with giving good advice on what too look out for while going to clairs (the only place that does under 10 years of age) and super sweet! Thanks so much!! Great service! Wish miley could have had you do it!!

I love this place! Amazing atmosphere! Such kind genuine people working there and definitely a beautiful place. I just got my eyebrow pierced and I was super nervous but Erin was so incredibly sweet and didn't make me feel rushed she just worked with me to help me feel calm. Then I ended up not feeling it at all that's how great she was! Erin was such a pleasure to meet and did such an amazing job the piercing looks fantastic! I could not be more pleased. And it was extremely fair priced!!

Energy tattoo is amazing! My sister and I came in as walk-ins on a Sunday, and we were helped right away. Nico did our tattoos, and she was great. We showed her our designs that we brought in and she was super helpful in adjusting them to make them look good as tattoos and last a long time. It was the first tattoo for both me and my sister, and Nic made us really comfortable with the whole process. She was super clean and both of our tattoos turned out really well! Erin the piercer is AMAZING. Came in with some friends and I was on the fence about getting a piercing of my own, but after I saw how Erin handled everything I was so down. Not only does she prepare the station before she brings you back, she also walks you through step by step what she's going to be doing once you're sitting down. I was upfront about being really nervous when I get pierced and I really felt the extra care she put in to make me feel comfortable. If I could give her 100 stars I could!

I came here for a piercing, and was more than pleased. Erin was not only thorough and knowledgeable, but gracious! She walks you through the process of getting your piercing done, and after care. This is a very clean and sterile environment, which is one of the most important parts of getting pierced or tattooed. Remember you are paying for knowledge and cleanliness, this is not Claire's! This was worth every penny and very reasonable in my opinion. I will come again for future piercings. Also, J Medina who is a tattoo artist there is amazing. although I have not had work done from him at this location, I can attest to his thoroughness, knowledge, and talent as well. All of my work has been done by him, which I am constantly complimented on.This shop will not disappoint. I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

My friend and I came to energy tattoo at 6pm on a Thursday. Although the shop closes at 7pm, Allie and Chelsea agreed to tattoo us. Both of our designs were simple and relatively small. That being said, my friend and I were very happy with Chelsea and Allie's work. They both carefully listened to what we wanted and made sure we were comfortable with the stencil, placement, and size. I found that Chelsea was very gentle and my tattoo was close to painless (located on my ribs/back) Allie worked steadily and quickly on my friend's ankle. Both tattoos were excellently done. Both artists charged us less than initially agreed upon which was very kind of them.The shop itself is an open, welcoming, and clean space. The artists and piercers are friendly and helpful. They also have high quality/diverse selection of jewelry at the front of the store. Overall, I would love to visit again.** it's great to see a tattoo shop with so many female/femme artists!**

Came in to get a tattoo. Was not greeted or treated well at all. All employees just seemed more preoccupied with other things. Eventually I was told Severine was going to do my tattoo. She had a very heavy hand and went over the same lines multiple times, claiming this was the best way for the color to stick since I have darker skin. After being told my tattoo would cost the shop minimum, it came out to $120. This was way more than I intended to spend on such a simple tattoo. Within a week I got these terrible huge scabs that excreted pus. That was my sign that my tattoo was infected, despite proper care. After the scabs fell off and it healed, I had bruising from such a heavy hand and my tattoo has gaps in color.Though they told me I have a free retouch, I'm scared to go back there. Of my 5 tattoos, this had to be the simpliest tattoo but it was messed up the most.

My boyfriend and I stopped by their shop while we were visiting SB in hopes of maybe getting a piercing. The piercer was able to fit is into her busy schedule; Nic was SUPER sweet, professional, and CLEAN. It was affordable and turned out perfect. On top of that, the tattoo artist, Allie, was able to fit is in to get a small tattoo; clean line work, and a super good personality. I am in love with this business; they made our trip worth remembering! So nice, clean, professional, and just straight kick ass.

I visited Santa Barbara for a weekend with my husband. I checked a few shops on State St and found these guys friendly and helpful. I got my piercing jewelry changed and my husband got a new tattoo. The script in his tattoo was top notch and really healed beautifully. We plan to return on vacation next year and will visit again.

Such a great atmosphere and friendly and experienced staff. I was able to walk in and within five minutes be sitting to get my nose pierced. Erin was extremely professional and so sweet. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. Can't wait to come back and do more piercings and maybe a tattoo!

I can't wait to get my shoulder done.J is my Husband's tattoo artist. He does an amazing job also. My husband is beyond pleased with his work. Everyone is very welcoming and gives a family vibe. Even though we were not able to go their. Erin (not sure how its spelled sorry!) Was more than helpful. My 5 year old has been begging to get her ears pierced and we have a tradition that all aunts have to be present. Theyvare all here today. Unfortunately all places we called had to be at least 10 years of age. Mileys only 5. Erin was so helpful with giving good advice on what too look out for while going to clairs (the only place that does under 10 years of age) and super sweet! Thanks so much!! Great service! Wish miley could have had you do it!!

I love this place! Amazing atmosphere! Such kind genuine people working there and definitely a beautiful place. I just got my eyebrow pierced and I was super nervous but Erin was so incredibly sweet and didn't make me feel rushed she just worked with me to help me feel calm. Then I ended up not feeling it at all that's how great she was! Erin was such a pleasure to meet and did such an amazing job the piercing looks fantastic! I could not be more pleased. And it was extremely fair priced!!

Energy tattoo is amazing! My sister and I came in as walk-ins on a Sunday, and we were helped right away. Nico did our tattoos, and she was great. We showed her our designs that we brought in and she was super helpful in adjusting them to make them look good as tattoos and last a long time. It was the first tattoo for both me and my sister, and Nic made us really comfortable with the whole process. She was super clean and both of our tattoos turned out really well! I would definitely come back.

Erin the piercer is AMAZING. Came in with some friends and I was on the fence about getting a piercing of my own, but after I saw how Erin handled everything I was so down. Not only does she prepare the station before she brings you back, she also walks you through step by step what she's going to be doing once you're sitting down. I was upfront about being really nervous when I get pierced and I really felt the extra care she put in to make me feel comfortable. If I could give her 100 stars I could!

I came here for a piercing, and was more than pleased. Erin was not only thorough and knowledgeable, but gracious! She walks you through the process of getting your piercing done, and after care. This is a very clean and sterile environment, which is one of the most important parts of getting pierced or tattooed. Remember you are paying for knowledge and cleanliness, this is not Claire's! This was worth every penny and very reasonable in my opinion. I will come again for future piercings. Also, J Medina who is a tattoo artist there is amazing. although I have not had work done from him at this location, I can attest to his thoroughness, knowledge, and talent as well. All of my work has been done by him, which I am constantly complimented on.This shop will not disappoint. I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

My friend and I came to energy tattoo at 6pm on a Thursday. Although the shop closes at 7pm, Allie and Chelsea agreed to tattoo us. Both of our designs were simple and relatively small. That being said, my friend and I were very happy with Chelsea and Allie's work. They both carefully listened to what we wanted and made sure we were comfortable with the stencil, placement, and size. I found that Chelsea was very gentle and my tattoo was close to painless (located on my ribs/back) Allie worked steadily and quickly on my friend's ankle. Both tattoos were excellently done. Both artists charged us less than initially agreed upon which was very kind of them.The shop itself is an open, welcoming, and clean space. The artists and piercers are friendly and helpful. They also have high quality/diverse selection of jewelry at the front of the store. Overall, I would love to visit again.** it's great to see a tattoo shop with so many female/femme artists!**

Came in to get a tattoo. Was not greeted or treated well at all. All employees just seemed more preoccupied with other things. Eventually I was told Severine was going to do my tattoo. She had a very heavy hand and went over the same lines multiple times, claiming this was the best way for the color to stick since I have darker skin. After being told my tattoo would cost the shop minimum, it came out to $120. This was way more than I intended to spend on such a simple tattoo. Within a week I got these terrible huge scabs that excreted pus. That was my sign that my tattoo was infected, despite proper care. After the scabs fell off and it healed, I had bruising from such a heavy hand and my tattoo has gaps in color.Though they told me I have a free retouch, I'm scared to go back there. Of my 5 tattoos, this had to be the simpliest tattoo but it was messed up the most.

My boyfriend and I stopped by their shop while we were visiting SB in hopes of maybe getting a piercing. The piercer was able to fit is into her busy schedule; Nic was SUPER sweet, professional, and CLEAN. It was affordable and turned out perfect. On top of that, the tattoo artist, Allie, was able to fit is in to get a small tattoo; clean line work, and a super good personality. I am in love with this business; they made our trip worth remembering! So nice, clean, professional, and just straight kick ass.

I visited Santa Barbara for a weekend with my husband. I checked a few shops on State St and found these guys friendly and helpful. I got my piercing jewelry changed and my husband got a new tattoo. The script in his tattoo was top notch and really healed beautifully. We plan to return on vacation next year and will visit again.
