I came in wanting pretty much a sticker-a repro of a logo. Jason took me as a walk-in, very quickly worked up stencils in multiple sizes, and totally nailed it. His outline was incredibly fine and smooth, just enough to hold the color. And the large blue fill-in is absolutely beautiful. It hits the outline but never jumps it and there are no areas of uneven coverage. He works quickly and with a firm but gentle touch. I got my first tattoo, done by Jason, well over a year ago now. I don't know why I wanted for so long, butt out of all my tattoos I've gotten I by far at the best experience here. I emailed him with some inspiration and came in a couple days later to actually book an appointment and drop of my $80 deposit. Thankfully, I was able to get an appointment for the same week (unlike some other places in the bay) it was a custom drawing so that took a while but the shop has a a very nice sitting area. Eventually, we got the stencil on and everything set up. Jason was very nice and super friendly and asked me all sorts of questions and asked my boyfriend questions and really made everyone feel very comfortable. Surprisingly he's the only artist who's been so nice and friendly, for my other tattoos I felt like I've had to force a conversation. My tattoo artist was Jason and I had the most amazing experience here. It was my first time getting a tattoo and I was quite nervous. However, he was very nice and helpful and eased my nervousness very quickly. Also despite being a walk in he made sure to fit me in today. I was also a little afraid of the pain of getting one but he has such a light touch that it wasn't nearly as painful as I imagined. I highly recommend having him as your tattoo artist. Great shop! I was dismissed at Spider Murphy's and wound up at Lucky Drive. Thank god, too, because this shop is the place to go for all your tattoo needs! The shop vibe is welcoming, Jason and Matt are very likeable, funny, nice, and most importantly superbly talented artists! To the person who complained the shop is dirty, don't listen to her. I've had several tattoos done here and everything they do is sterile and clean, and I've never had any issues with my tattoos healing. As for her comment about Jason being unfriendly, I laugh because he's the total opposite, he's too friendly. Don't let her bad experience deter you from dropping by. I originally had plans to go to Spider Murphys down the street while my mom was on her lunch break so I can discuss some tattoos. I got there at 12 like they were supposed to be open and waited 40 minutes to only walk away in disappointment. I found this place online and called them explaining what happen. Alex told me I can come by with my child and within minutes I had a deposit put down and an appointment scheduled on a day and time that was very flexible and understanding. I walked in on my appointment day and time and he was ready to go! He gave me a price I couldn't refuse, he was gentle, which is hard to do, and was very courteous of my pain level. I yelped and found a gem - Jason was amazing he listened understood and talked me through. My kitten died and I wanted a paw print but more than that I needed the person who was doing it to understand the significance. Jason was more than incredible totally got it and just way and above. But then I made a pretty innocent comment about a tattoo on Instagram that wasn't great (just said I didn't like it) and his busines)s partner commented on a picture of my 10 year old son and I on retreat after we lost his father (my 10 year old sons father saying he hopes we die of aids.
