Anthony started off by insulting the tattoo I was getting of my daughters middle name. Her name is Asian. His exact question was, "what does this mean? Chop suey?!" As I explained it was for my daughters middle name, he wasn't even paying attention. During the tattoo he took it upon himself to talk shit about me. Is he stupid? I was literally a foot from him, though my back turned. Actually getting the appointment was also a pain. When you call into this place and ask them for an estimate on getting a tattoo done, they explain you can drop in but they won't give you any sense of the current wait time. So I run over there thinking it's packed, only to find it's completely empty. The first time I went in the front guy merely goes to the back and asks a couple guys in front of me, "you feel like doing a tattoo?" "Nah." Then the guy told me to come back another time. These guys need a serious dose of reality to bring them back to earth. They've got bad attitudes and poor business administration. The tattoo artist couldn't have cared less about the tattoo I was getting. To the point of openly making fun of it in front of my face. They also need to not rely solely on the picture someone brings in. They're so quick to take a picture and blow up exactly what's on your phone without taking the time to consider that you may want things adjusted. This job really seems like they're just going through the motions. These guys are more tracers than artists, and they've got the immature attitude to match. Read Less

I have been coming to JT at Players Ink for the past 5 years and never been disappointed. I usually stick with black and white but was dying to find someone that does good color.... that's when I met JT. I have a full sleeve and 2 cover ups below my collar bone that look amazing still years later and still getting complemented. If I ever move away I would fly back just to continue my work with him. The only recommendation I would have for a newbie is just to be clear and confident in what you want, don't go to an artist asking what you should get because at the end of the day it's on your body not theirs. I recommend getting piercings from here.  I can't remember the piercer guy name but he looks like Paco from The movie Blood in Blood Out.  I came as a walk in with pain on a piercing I got from body jewels 2 months ago.  It was infected & needed help. He took time to clean it and put a new bar which was bigger & more comfortable for me.   I was happy that I didn't end up just taking out my piercing & risking it to shut.  That night the pain stopped and it's been 3 days since and I feel back to normal swelling went away and he taught me the proper care so the infection is gone!  He also gave be a great deal on some cute piercings I purchased! After 17 years of wanting a tattoo, I finally got one. Although it's super small, I love it.My friend and I have talked about getting one together for a while. She has quite a few. We decided one Saturday night before we were going out that this was the night. I looked online and found a few places that were open past 8pm. Player's Ink had great reviews, was open later and close by. I called and they said AJ would be bale to take us if we could make it in before 9pm. We got ready and headed over.AJ was super nice and helped me through the process, especially in selecting the right place for my first one. I wasn't nervous since I do have a high pain tolerance, but I wasn't sure what to expect.Overall, the pain was bearable, I was in and out in 30 minutes and I love my tattoo. went in for a cartilage piercing - i didn't have an appointment so upon arriving i was told there would be a 45ish min wait, so we left and came back but someone else came in before we came back so we ended up waiting another 45 min. i got pierced by travis, he was really calm and friendly and did my piercing super fast. he made sure i was satisfied with the placement before piercing and it ended up being very quick and easy. i forgot to use my yelp check in discount though smh but its fine LOL i ended up paying $40 for the one piercing (not including tip)..i'd come here again :) Read Less

I did my Septum piercing here and loved the place and the service, while I waited for my turn, me and my boyfriend played billiards, when it came to my turn Adrian asked me how I preferred my piercing and he explained to me where he was going to pierce and the procedure, it did not hurt at all, it was just a discomfort but that's all. He told me that some tears would come out and he gave me a paper to clean but it was not necessary to use the paper. Went here on a whim to get my septum pierced!There was no wait at all, they showed me my options and I was excited to get started. However I was a little surprised by the very casual nature of my experience.I was never asked for my ID ( thankfully I am of age but still!? ) The guy who pierced my septum was very kind and friendly but didn't seem too knowledgeable about this particular piercing. He ended up piercing my septum quite crooked and mentioned it might be how my nose is shaped. Which is understandable but that might have been something to discuss with me before the needle went through my nose.... My nose is actually quite average and I was hoping for a perfect placement. It didn't happen but that's ok! He popped it out and cleaned it and I was good to go. Told me I could come back the next day to try again ( no after care instructions were given )! This review has been a long time coming! I originally went to PI ten years ago to get my belly button pierced. It was was Adrian who did it and at the time I remember feeling so comfortable. Two years later I got my tragus peirced by him as well. My bb piercing didn't last because of life and having babies and I eventually went away with my tragus peircing but recently decided I'd like to get it re pierced. Keeping in mind walk-ins are 1st come, 1st served basis I allotted about an hour and a half just in case. When I walked in there were 2 others in front of me but I was greeted shortly after with a "be with you in a few minutes." Sure enough about 10 minutes had passed and a second piercer, who happened to be Adrian (again! Yay!) had walked in and also greeted me. He quickly helped me pick jewelry, eased me with some small talk and got to piercing. The piercing took only 2-5 minutes and by the time I had paid I had only spent about 30 minutes total in the shop. Walked right in for a piercing. Travis was a cool guy. I've had many piercings previously, my nose had been pierced 2 previous times and I asked about doing a third time. Travis advised me while he would be able to do it, it would be more painful. Nope do the other side. K thanks. He took me back to the little room showed me the nose ring he would be using.  Be warned tho if you're short the table is a bit high. Travis however gave me a chair to stand on so I could hop up onto the table. He picked a spot to pierce dotted it and had me lie down. He was quick and allowed my hubby to video the whole process. adrian pierced me and he's such a chill, sweet guy! i originally just planned to get seconds on my earlobes since my cartilage got infected so i thought i wouldn't be able to get another one underneath it. not only did he do an amazing job on the piercings, he inspected my cartilage piercing and told me that it was way too slanted as a piercing and pinched my skin and messed with my healing process. i thought it was really sweet of him to help me understand what went wrong with my piercing. in the end, he helped me take the stud out so it could heal and he told me i could come back in a month or so if i want it repierced. i still really wanted another piercing underneath it, so i asked him about it and he told me it would be fine, so i got it! calling me a satisfied customer would be an understatement. i'll definitely be back for more piercings! I've really been debating about writing this review. I don't want to be "that customer" but every time I look down at my wrist tattoo I'm really really disappointed. First I would like to start off with that everyone at this shop I have personally interacted with has been super super friendly and welcoming. The shop is clean and for a walk-in appointment they were very attentive and you could tell that they actually cared about you. This was the first time I had gotten a tattoo from this shop, but I had been before with other friends while they got work done and their skills and knowledge were great. So I wasn't hesitant to get a small piece done since my typical artist (who doesn't work at this shop) was on vacation. To be honest this was a total on a whim tattoo that my bestie and we're getting togeher. The actual process of getting the piece was cake. Travis worked on both my bestie and I and he was very nice and totally listened to what we wanted (a smicolon with a heart) and drew something up quickly. Mine was black and my bestie wanted red. Next thing we knew were in the chair and then out. Super quick and clean. Both of us were charged $50 and we were on our way. It wasn't until 3 days after getting tattooed that I was getting worried about how my tattoo was healing. I've gotten tattooed several other times and this one just didn't look right. It was scabing and bubbling more than usual and iched like no other. I was cleaning it 3 times daily with the reccomended soap and keeping a thin layer of aquaphor on it just as reccomended. But still my gut told me something is up. I sent a photo to my normal artist (not Travis) and he told me that it looked super irritated and to stop applying aquaphor and to still wash it. I did just that and the irrational went down but it took about another week and a half for it to totally heal. After it was done healing I couldn't believe what had happened. Practically ALL the color had fallen out and the outline is a little bit blown out. It looks like I have had it for 10+ years. I'm super disappointed with it. My bestie had the SAME issue. Obviously this was an issue with the skill of the artist and nothing else. I've made an appointment with my usual artist to either get it touched up or totally covered up. Read Less

I was searching for a place on Labor Day to get a Lotus + crescent moon tattoo on the back of my neck/between the shoulders. I called Players Ink and found out that they were accepting walk ins and decided to come in.JT was appointed to be my artist, and he was a really personable and friendly guy. He struck up good conversation and friendly banter as he was doing my tattoo. He is also very meticulous with his work and redid the stencil on my back about 4-5 times before he was satisfied with the symmetrical placement of it! I really appreciated his carefulness.He gave me a realllllly good price compared to the other places that I've been to. Players Ink has a $60 minimum for tattoos, and he did a really good job. This place is definitely on the more affordable budget.If I get another tattoo or need to recommend someone, I'd recommend JT. Came in for a septum piercing and Travis did an amazing job! I'm hoping this will heal fine since I repierced it after a year and a half. I paid a total of $35 for the piercing after using the yelp check in discount. The interior is nice and they even have a pool table set up if your wait is too long. I came in with two friends and from them they said that everything went well with Travis too! One of my friends changed her jewelry after she noticed her ear piercing started swelling up, and the other repierced his ear. I recommend this place for piercing! The parking isn't too bad and it's very spacious. They'll make sure you're comfortable and they even offer water. Travis didn't make me feel like he was in a rush (even though there were more customers after me.) My friend and I were walk ins for piercings. We were helped fairly quickly and our piercer did a great job as far as cleanliness and making sure everything was sanitized. My piercing did get very very swollen and when I went back 2 days later another piercer took a look and said that the placement of my piercing wasn't the best but he was very helpful and told me to come back in a few days if it wasn't better.
