A friend recommended me this place! She showed me Meo's page on Instagram - Meojestic - and I fell in love with her designs! You have to really know what you want and have all the photos and references ready in order to book an appointment with her. Appointments are only once in a while (maybe 1-2 times a month?), but they're not easy to get since they fill up super fast! Luckily, I was able to get a date. Meo is super accommodating and amazing at what she does. She designs the tattoos and makes sure you 100% LOVE it before starting. It was my first tattoo and I was filled with adrenaline coming in (nervous and excited), but she definitely calmed me down and explained the whole process to me. I felt bad because I twitched a lot during the session despite having to stay still and asked for a lot of breaks (I wasn't used to the pain!) and she would let me rest a bit. Halfway through, I was really struggling and she offered me to book another session instead of cramming it into one, but I ended up finishing it! I can't say enough great things about both this studio and my artist, Long. I was referred to NGT by a friend. Both she and her husband both have great pieces on their arms and they both had their work done here (she with Long and him with Ben). I spoke to ben about finishing up my arm piece from another artist. He took several pics of my arm and said he'll see what he could do. I came back several weeks later and he showed me the sketch. This was going to be my first tattoo. I was super excited, got a booking a MONTH in advance, and day of I drove down from Gilroy to get to my appointment with Meojestic. She messages me saying my appointment would have to be moved to a different day. I'm super confused, I know we agreed the appointment could be pushed back an hour or two, but COMPLETELY CANCELLED? I even asked day of booking if there was any chance it would be moved to a different day, and she confidently replied NO, only an hour or two. If I had known, I would have chosen a day she couldn't cancel.      Due to work,school, family, responsibilites I do not have open availability. Her option was April 2, and even then I had moved all my plans around for this appointment. ( I mean I did book a month in advance). There was no way I could fit it in any other day. She offered April 29th, and even that was NOT a guaranteed date. She tells me I STILL MIGHT BE PUSHED BACK. So all I'm left with is a slight chance I'm able to be taken in a MONTH after my actual appointment. I know her work is good, but her scheduling and time management really disappointed me.     I tried to get my deposit back and she tells me it can't be returned. She messes up scheduling, she offers a NON GUARANTEED SPOT, and I can't get my money back.... I didn't know I was in fault for this. My friend and I had been trying to meet with Long for a few weeks- but our schedules weren't lining up with his. We called to see if he was available today and he said he had an appointment but would text me right after. And he did!He was so patient and kind, and did such a great job with our tattoos-- paying extremely close attention to the finest of lines. Got my very first tattoo here about 1 year ago and I recently came back to get my second and so far it's been a great experience with my artist Jason (aka T).  From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by name (if you've talked to them prior) and cared for like a very close friend rather than a regular customer. If you are looking for realistic art, or portraits definitely come and see T! He will not disappoint. However, make sure you have a pretty goof idea of what you want, and even if you don't, T is very helpful in creating something that you'll love!Both the designs I have (palmtree/ lion with feathers and roses) look completely real and have detailed shading in black and white ink. My mom and I each got a small ankle tattoo by Long. Mine is a beautiful watercolor style poppy, and hers is a watercolor style dragonfly. Both are absolutely perfect, and exactly what we wanted. Prior to our appointment, we were both quite undecided on what we wanted, and just had multiple picture/screenshots. Since I live out of town, Long worked with us on the day-of to figure out exactly what the tattoo would be. He spent a lot of time helping us get it just right, and then completed both tattoos flawlessly. The fine lines and watercolor are absolutely incredible. The vibe of the shop is very cool (=My artist is Jason or T, Instagram akuma_inkspired, and i got a realistic lotus from him 2 weeks ago.I messaged him and he invited me to an in-person consultation. During the consultation, he was welcoming, easy to talk to, and a good listener. He is kind, positive, patient, and open minded. He indirectly pushed me into thinking about my sleeve in more detail and taking it more seriously. Day of the appointment, he showed me his sketch and made changes to my liking as well as fixed his pet peeves before moving on. He printed 3 different stencil sizes for me to try, which is very considerate. He covered his operation seat for me and opened the new packages of needles in front of me (he opened them when he needed to use them)---SANITARY. I've been trying to find an artist that could do the type of line work that I was looking for and this turned out exactly how I wanted! My Dad passed away last December 2017 so I wanted to get something in honor of him. I started my search on yelp to look for a tattoo artist who can do realistic like roses and after looking up about 10 other tattoo shops I finally found the guy that I wanted to design my tat. My Dad has lots of rose bushes when I was growing up so I decided to get two roses with his birthday in Roman numerals. Long did an amazing job on my tat. This review is not for the whole shop necessarily, but for one artist, Phuoc. I talked to him through Instagram messenger to plan an appointment to go in. We met and talked about a potential design, he said he would draw something up and we set an appointment for a few weeks later (November 1) to get the work done. I showed up today about 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, sat down and waited. At first I wasn't helped, but another artist came over after only a few minutes to ask if I had been. I told him I had an appointment with Phuoc at 4:30 so he continued with his client. I waited...4:30 passed...I waited. Nothing. Not to mention I texted him on Monday about the first al design, no response. I texted him earlier today, no response. And I texted him once my appointment time had passed. I went to Phuoc for this tattoo, and it took about 2 hours. I suggest going to their website and looking at all of the artists' portfolios and Instagrams to see which style is best for your tattoo. They do consultations before every appointment, and Phuoc was super patient with me while I was really picky about the smallest things with the design. So I randomly was having the worst day ever and I decided to stop by new generation tattoo because my coworker mentioned it after seeing my back work from another parlor. I read the reviews and noticed one about Phong. I parked and noticed they were chillin outside and once I walked in they all came back in to help me and ask what I wanted. Artist: LongIN LOVE WITH MY TATTOO. Long is such a wonderful talented artist. We texted back and forth and he got me in the same day and made time for me and COMPLETED THE WHOLE TATTOO. I texted him at 11am and I was out at 9pm with my tattoo of my dreams. When I got there right of the bat I was super nervous but the staff and long were welcoming and I got a great vibe from the shop. Organized clean and well put together.  I came in being picky, undecided, and my ideas were all over the place. I was nervous and annoying with question after questions but I had no reason to question anything he did everything I wanted and more. He helped me and listen to all my ideas and brought it all together. Also he worked with and around my previous tattoo I had and still pulled it off. During the process it took only 3 hours! He made it super quick comfortable and great music. Staff is all wonderful and those 3 hours fly by. I kept questioning and asking and stressing over little details shading size color. I went to New Generation Tattoo for my first tattoo today. I called about 30 minutes before hand checking to see if they were going to be busy and someone answered right away and gave me all the information I needed. The place was clean and comfy with a wide age range of customers. Phong was my artist when I was a walk-in. I first came in with a few ideas and we talked the prices. He suggested a lot of adjustments to the design and really knew how to make it the best size for my arm. We set up and I was ready in 15 minutes since I walked in the door. He replaces the stencil to move it over a slight bit which shows me he isn't halfassing the alignment. His way of tattooing is not harsh at all. It took about 2 hours for it all and it only really hurt the last 30. We took breaks and kept a conversation going the whole time. Really comfortable and good first experience. To finish, I am obsessed with my tattoo. Phong reassured me on my tattoo and I am so happy I got it from a genuinely good person. The shading is smooth and he made it so the edges are thicker and all these other adjustments to make it better. Super professional, clean, and fun place. I'd definitely come here again, and my friends are coming here for theirs now after seeing mine! I also left my ID there, and they called and notified me before I even realized I lost it. After an extensive research on different studios and artists I thought Long would be a good choice for what I wanted for my first tattoo. Walked in for a consultation and after that I kept in touch via texts. Long was super responsive and together we sketched up the design a few days before the appointment. He was very accommodating and listened to what I wanted and added his suggestions. This was my first tattoo, and she wanted it to be perfect as much as I did. We messaged back and forth for a while, and she was really quick to many any changes that I requested. I pass by this local tattoo shop while walking my dog in the neighborhood all the time. Had seen the great reviews since last year and wanted to come here. But I made the mistake and got a tattoo elsewhere that my friend wanted to go to, which ended up having to get retouched within weeks.I stopped by one evening to show them what I was looking at getting, and they were honest and showed me a photo (posted on the very front of their shop) of what would happen if I got really small cursive writing. With that, that changed my mind and I was able to pick something else out.A week later I came on a weeknight and was surprised how busy it was. Almost wasn't able to get my tattoo, but Thien was able to take me. Impressed how you can just airdrop your photo to the computer, and he was patient as I had him resize it multiple times til it was small enough to my liking. The shop is small but cozy. Thien was very professional and my friend was able to keep me company at my side. Very happy with my tattoo and Thien was really responsive when I was worried the thin lines might fade quickly like my last tattoo.I will be honest and say this place is pricier than others, almost double the cost of other places and can drive customers away, as possibly the lady before me. But for something that's permanent for lifetime, I much prefer paying the price for quality. I was also able to get the tattoo aftercare foam for the cost of where you would get it anywhere. Came here with an appointment with Jason and lowkey I was a bit skeptical because he's new but hey everyone starts somewhere right. It was my first ever tattoo and luckily he was offering them for free so hey why not. I decided to get peonies tattooed on my left arm and the whole process took about 3 hours which wasn't too bad, it actually went by pretty fast.Jason himself was very careful and was such a perfectionist. The pain wasn't as bad as i'd imagine it, it was bearable for the most part. There were even moments where I wanted to nap as well haha. I was worried that the tattoo I chose would not look good on my arm but Jason made the process comfortable and assured me he would make it look amazing,Overall he was very nice, took his time with all the fine lines and details but more importantly he gave me what I wanted!! Artist: BEN I love my tattoo experience! I emailed New Generation about my request for a dragon tattoo and got a really fast response from Monica. She was super helpful and said Ben would a good artist for me. I love how she responded really quick as well as answered all my questions. I had to wait two months for Ben and it was worth the wait. Ben is amazing. On the day of the tattoo session..I was late. So unprofessional.  However, Ben was super understanding and told me to take my time! Also, I brought my two sisters and her husband. It can get pretty crowded. LOL Ben was understanding and invited them in.  He is a super easy guy to work with. I am a very impatient person and I wanted my piece to be done in one session. I came in today (monday) and he looked over two of the tattoos I wanted him to do and told me he could actually do the smaller one on the spot since he had time, so I was like why the heck not since it was my day off, and I do not regret! I had it done on my left inner arm so it was kind of in an awkward spot but Phong made sure to put it in the right spot to see if I liked it and throughout the 2~ hours he kept checking up on me to see if it was too painful for me too handle. He was also really funny and easy to talk to so it helped distract me from the pain a little haha When I saw the finished product I was amazed, his line work was amazing and the shading was smooth. I got my first tattoo here by the awesome Mary! I was definitely anxious on the way here but that all went away when I stepped into the tattoo parlor. Everyone was really friendly and funny thank goodness. I was helped right away by Mary and she started measuring where to tat the little quote I wanted. She printed out a couple of examples and offered different locations/sizes/etc which was great since I didn't really have an exact idea of the whole thing.Then we got right to it afterwards. I would say she was lighthanded - it didn't hurt at all. It even surprised me since I'm very skinny and I'm just bones LOL I'm usually someone who can't sit still for a long time doing nothing but I felt at ease while being tatted. Thank goodness. The tattoo I got was a little sentence written by my mom and I was really happy to see that Mary got everything down to the T. She got all the little details such as the pen strokes and such. Okay this is a super late review. Sorry phong i knew i forgot something :) Phong did my lotus tattoo early this year. I was a walk-in and Phong immediately helped me out with the sizing and placement as I already had a design in mind. Since my tattoo was on my upper back Phong used a curtain around the tattoo table so I had my own private area. He made the whole experience as painless and enjoyable possible with his loco convo and short breaks. Pricing was reasonable as well not cheap but not expensive and you get good quality work. Got MY fifth tattoo from Lam here. It's the best so far. I'm super satisfied with the service and Lam's work. I showed Lam the picture of the tattoo I want and Lam is very detail oriented and make sure what I got is what I'm really looking for.  In the end, I'm happy with my 5th tattoo.The price is reasonable to me considering the details and shading of my tattoo. It costs $350 + tips for my 4-5 inch tattoo in 3 hours. One thing Lam can improve is: double check with customer what their pain threshold is and if they want to use numb gel. My tattoo is around ankle which is pretty sensitive. The first hour was hell of a pain to be honest.  But Lam gave me some numb gel for the rest of them which made the process much smoother. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this tattoo shop and Lam's work considering following factors:1) Clean and tidy.2) Staff gave me constructive advice(even if you don't know what you want, that's totally fine.)3) Reasonable price.4) Lam is a great tattoo artist. Let me start off by saying that I'm not much of a yelp reviewer but I salute those of you who are because that's how I came across this tattoo shop. I wanted a small flower on my wrist with my dad's name in cursive writing for my first tattoo (I had a couple of ideas in mind so that sped up the process). The shop is clean and they take walk-ins but I'd recommend booking an appointment beforehand cause it can get crowded. I chose THIEN because of a watercolor flower tattoo he did on a fellow yelp reviewer so I knew he was the guy I needed. I called them up and lucky for me THIEN was available that same day- 2 hrs later we were choosing fonts and talking about sizes! It was my first tattoo so it hurt a little but nothing to die for. Thien is not much of a talker which is fucking great because I'm not much of a social bird myself but he's straightforward and gets the job done! Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend him as your next tattoo artist. The only con I encountered: New Generation is on the pricier side but you get what you pay for! I couldn't be more impressed with these guys. Long did my wife's forearm tattoo and it was absolutely amazing. He did a second session for her for free, and I practically had to shove the tip in his face, because he said we already paid, and this session was covered. I got a sleeve (1st session) done by Ben, who's the owner. I was blown away how fast and amazing his work is. Who else can do almost a full sleeve in a 5 hr session?? Today I came in for a tat from Lamb, 2nd session. Lamb is a pretty solid dude, knows his stuff and does very nice work. Last time I came in and got my outline done and he asked if I was hungry and he got me food! I wasn't expecting to be fed while getting tatted up! Very nice customer service! Everybody there is nice and cracks a lot of jokes and it's hard to sit still when you are laughing with them. They make you feel comfortable and at home. I've been there three weeks ago and I got my very first tattoo by Chris. The tattoo shop was very clean. I went there with my complete tattoo design for my upper arm. The whole process took less than 30 minutes! Even one of his colleague surprised how rush he was working to finish the tattoo. Why? This is going to be permanent, have some responsibilities. I posted both the original design and the final tattoo (after three weeks). As you can clearly see, the final result is very different than the original scheme that I wanted! Especially the inner spiral that is uneven and messy! It turned out to be an ugly tattoo and I'm upset that I didn't put more time to find a better artist. Read Less

I just had my tattoo done yesterday by Long. This was my very first tattoo, and Long is an incredibly warm and delightful person! I am a person that usually gets nervous about every and any little thing, but throughout this whole process I did not feel any doubt or concern. The vibe of the shop is also great. You can tell everyone there are homies, and have a supportive team. I thoroughly enjoyed the Kevin Gates music in the background lol, and funny little conversations folks were having.Overall, I highly recommend Long and this shop. Whether you're getting a tattoo or having your tattoo touched up by someone, it's a big deal because that piece of artwork is gonna stay on your body for the rest of your life. That's why choosing the right tattoo artist is also very important. Thien worked on my unfinished dragon, when I came to him I only had the outline done by a different artist and I trusted him to shade it in and finish the rest. He is a very skilled artist whose good at what he does. I cannot express how satisfied I am with his work, though the outline was done by someone else Thien used his own technique to add clouds and touched up the piece with his own style, and the finished result was quite impressive. Thien is very professional and his work ethic is incredible. He made me feel comfortable and always made sure I was doing ok by asking me questions like, is the pain tolerable? Do you need to take a break? Very respectful guy. I love the vibe of this place. At New Generation all the staffs are extremely friendly, as soon as you walk into the shop your mood just lightens up because everyone is just so funny and always crackin jokes. Got my second tattoo here over the weekend. Prior to choosing New Generation Tattoo, I had shopped around and asked for quotes. Given the good reviews of this place and the comparable price with a 20-mile radius, my decision was easy. I had originally scheduled an appointment for Saturday at 1pm with Long. A couple days prior to that, Long and I had been texting back and forth about the design I wanted. Unfortunately, he was sick that day, but Linh was willing to take me in on very short notice at 2:30pm. I had only texted him 45 minutes in advance about the design - sent around 15 photos to give him an idea (small, dark pink rose behind my ear).First thing I noticed when I walked in was that the place was very clean and well-lit. Each artist had his or her own little section. Linh and I sat down to finalize the design, and he accommodated my requests in terms of placement, size, color, everything. He made sure not to start until he knew exactly what I wanted.Since I was getting this tattoo to represent my mom (her name means "rose"), I brought her with me. Her main concern was the risk or danger of getting a tattoo, e.g., at an unsanitary establishment or with unsanitary tools. Linh assured us that there was nothing to worry about here. He also showed us that the needle was still new in the wrapper while he was setting up. Linh was super well-prepared. He even had a pink hairtie for me to use!The actual tattooing process took maybe 1.5 hours total. Linh has a super light touch. I actually almost fell asleep! While he was tattooing, he let me know how things were progressing, what part he was going to work on next, etc. He also started explaining aftercare to me. After he was done, Linh gave me two little samples of ointment (for free!) and wallet-sized care instructions for me to take with me.I had a wonderful experience here. Super happy with the tattoo and the level of detail in the rose, despite how small it is. I also loved the chill atmosphere and the friendly artists. This is my third tattoo I got done, and my first with New Generation. I called New Generation to see if I could come in and talk to an artist about the tattoo that I wanted to get done. They were super friendly on the phone, and even more friendly in person. I showed Shaolinh a picture of a tattoo that I had found online that I liked and told him I wanted something similar. He was able to take a picture of my arm/shoulder and overlay the image to show what it would look like.... We discussed how long the tattoo would take, pricing, and I gave them a deposit and set the appointment. When I showed my husband the picture with the original design, he hated it (but he hates tattoos, so no big surprise). Since this was a special tattoo he had to like too. I messaged Shaolinh with mine and husbands concerns. He was very understanding and started to work on some similar yet different designs. A day before my appointment, there was a change in plans for the next day and I contacted Shaolinh to see if I could reschedule my appointment to an earlier time, and he said that he could. The day of the tattoo I put on the numbing cream he had given per his instructions, and went in. We went over the design he had created, made a few last minute changes, and got the OK from hubby. The work he did was beautiful!!! The feather he designed was gorgeous, and I really love how the first bird coming out of it looks like it was broken off of the feather. As I walked in I was greeted by the owner Ben. I explained what I wanted and went on from there to set up an appointment. Loved Billy! My sister's friend recommended him, and I'm glad she did. I had a specific design in mind, and it was my first tattoo, I was so nervous! But Billy did an amazing job, kept my original design with only a few modifications to make it better, and it was awesome!
