Got an armband fixed by Siri and added a henna style sunflower. She is so kind and attentive! She took the time to listen to my story, heard what I needed and envisioned, and really worked with me to create something I love! Her lines are meticulously straight and she pays so much attention to detail. Thank you Siri!

I had admired Brücius' art for years, but had been too shy to go for a consultation, as I had only had one tattoo before and didn't want to bother such an in-demand artist. But eventually I decided that hey, if I was going to get another one, it was going to be one I knew I'd love -- so I made an appointment, and am so glad I did. Brücius is very kind and knowledgeable and never made me feel awkward regarding my questions or ideas. He also clearly has a good sense of what artist's style will make your tattoo vision happen the way you want it, and if it's not him, he'll point you in the right direction. He did my tattoo today, and it was as comfortable an experience as getting a tattoo could possibly be, and he was very patient about my nitpicking at small details, even though it was clear he knew what he was doing! At the end of the appointment I had been staring at the design too long to be a fair judge, but ever since leaving I have been repeatedly struck by how well done it is, and the evidence of his skill. It's not even been a day, but I can tell it's something I'm going to be glad to have for a long time -- and I certainly hope to have my next tattoo done by him, as well!

I had a great experience at Black Serum getting my first tattoo. The gracious staff and artists, along with the clean and carefully created aesthetic of the space, made me at ease immediately. And really, when I walked in and took in all the tiny details, the carefully selected and placed objects and artworks around the room, I knew I was in good hands.
Brücius is clearly a gifted artist, but what impressed me most about working with him, aside from his quiet and generous nature, was his ability to intuit what aspects of the artwork were most important to me and then to take special attention with these. The resulting artwork is beyond my expectations and I'm very, very pleased.

What a wonderful experience and well worth the wait. Brücius listened carefully not only to what I was saying but to my body language on how I wanted my first tattoo to look and feel. He is kind, collaborative, and a master at his craft. The whole process was comfortable. I have a stunning piece of art on my arm and I am thankful - I truly love it!

My dad and I decided to get matching tattoos, and after my partners experience getting tattooed by Brücius at Black Serum I knew it was a very special place and I couldn’t really see doing it anywhere else. Brucius set us up with Vinny, who was kind, patient, and took my design ideas and made them into a really beautiful piece of art that I’m excited to wear for the rest of my life. It was my dads first tattoo and we were both fairly nervous but Vinny made us feel totally comfortable and took his time to make sure we were happy with design and placement. I couldn’t love the tattoos more, and I’m really grateful to Black Serum and Vinny for providing such a great experience for me and my dad. Definitely will be going here for my next tattoo, and hopefully the one after that and the one after that.

After some thought, I finally decided that I was ready for my first tattoo. I was recommended to Vinny Valdez by the staff at Black Serum since he's very experienced with designing animals (I was looking for a tribal dog that resembled my MinPin) and he explained how the process worked. I gave him some examples of what I wanted and when I came back a couple weeks later he had three versions of the image drawn out and I easily selected one of them. The end result is nothing short of amazing and I couldn't be happier!

Awesome experience from start to finish! Vinny blew my mind with his design and genuine touch. He took my thoughts and ideas and created an original piece of art that left me speechless. This was the first time I felt like an artist genuinely cared about what I wanted and cared about the final product. Thanks again Vinny! Brucius, the shop owner was also very welcoming and clearly extremely talented just like the rest of the staff. Lastly, the shop was extremely clean, comfortable and designed to a T! Highly recommend and will not be the last time here! Thanks guys!

But eventually I decided that hey, if I was going to get another one, it was going to be one I knew I'd love -- so I made an appointment, and am so glad I did. Brücius is very kind and knowledgeable and never made me feel awkward regarding my questions or ideas. I had a great experience at Black Serum getting my first tattoo. The gracious staff and artists, along with the clean and carefully created aesthetic of the space, made me at ease immediately. And really, when I walked in and took in all the tiny details, the carefully selected and placed objects and artworks around the room, I knew I was in good hands.

My dad and I decided to get matching tattoos, and after my partners experience getting tattooed by Brücius at Black Serum I knew it was a very special place and I couldn’t really see doing it anywhere else. This was the first time I felt like an artist genuinely cared about what I wanted and cared about the final product. Thanks again Vinny!
