While in San Diego, I got an urge to go under the needle for the umpteenth time. After a quick search I turned up Western Electric. The traditional approach suits my style and it turns out these guys love traditional work. It so happened I was just around the corner. I called Chad and explained my situation. He was more than happy to meet me at the shop where we came up with the ideas for the session by scouring old and new flash books alike. I enjoyed the experience so much from start to finish I booked a session for a big sternum piece the following day. We were through it in 2 hours. Chad is an extremely thoughtful and caring guy. We had much fun shooting the shit, talking about tattoo history, vintage watches, travel and art. I am proud of the work he has done for me and will definitely be tattooed by him any time our paths cross. Highly recommend.

I love the location. It's only a block or two from the beach. The place is very clean and the artists are really cool people. Didn't feel a bit out of place or awkward. You never know what to expect from a tattoo shop. I got a tattoo on Friday the 13th. Chad did my piece. I'm happy with it and would definitely recommend him for your future tattoo work.

I love this shop. As a tattooer, I immediately fell in love with it. It's San Diego's perfect little secret. It's tucked away and it's a private studio which makes for a much more personal experience....
I love this shop. As a tattooer, I immediately fell in love with it. It's San Diego's perfect little secret. It's tucked away and it's a private studio which makes for a much more personal experience. I got tattooed by Chad in January and it was an awesome little piece. My tattoo is the easiest healing tattoo I have EVER had since I started getting tattooed in 2008. I definitely recommend this shop. It's very clean and it is so damn easy on the eyes.

Chad tattooed my boyfriend and I and he was professional, pleasant and very well dressed! If you're looking for American traditional style tattooing, this is the place to go. Cannot recommend Chad enough!

This shop is very cute and cozy. A little tucked away from the hustle and bustle of OB, but still close and easily accessible. Chad has tattooed me several times now and he's a great guy/artist. I've gotten many American traditional pieces by him and some simple lettering but I've seen the variety of his work and he can do just about anything. He's very professional and easy to work with. Definitely coming back!

This place is cool. Small intimate tattoo shop, with nice and skilled tattoo artists. They focus on American traditional style, but can do more styles than just that. Chad was the artist that I went with, he is polite, well dressed and friendly. I will recommend this place and will return for more great traditional tattoos. Thanks guys.
