Great local neighborhood tattoo shop in city heights. It was opened by Sergio Hernandez who has been a very active artist not only in San Diego but has traveled across the country doing his thang. Shop is small but has nothing but good vibes and good peeps. All the flash on the walls is jaw dropping beautiful. You can spend hours staring at all the details on the walls and counters. All the employees and artists are always polite and know what they are talking about. They have fun days like Friday the 13th where yes you will hang out for hours to get ink but will talk with a great number of interesting people and have blast at the same time. They have all the makings of being a long lived and established shop in the neighborhood. Best health practices when it comes to the tattoos and you definitely get what you want. This place is the best. My appointment was with the owner, Sergio, and he was great! Not only do I absolutely love my new ink, the overall experience was the best I've ever had, and I've been getting inked since 2003... we started tattooing almost as soon as I walked in. Sergio had previously mentioned he tattoos quick, and he wasn't lying; I was in and out in about 2 hours. Sergio's art is very unique and one of a kind, the main reason I chose him! There's also a budding traditional artist there named Jane, who was a delight to be around and who's art I will also be seeking. Walked in with nothing in mind really and saw a flash on the wall of a moon drawn by Jane. JT gave me my tattoo and was super professional the whole time and it turned out great. One of the best shops in town. Sergio from 7 Seas opened up his own shop in City Heights with Jane and JT. Paying great homage to the legendary 7 Seas with another classic traditional tattoo shop. Original hand painted flash in the front from the crew and some other local and some world known tattooers.Came in here and Sergio was able to do a custom walk in on the spot. He gave me 3 options very quickly and it was hard to choose. Jane has great taste, so I went off her recommendation. He tattooed me quickly and did an incredible job as always. Can't recommend them enough. I've been in probably over 100 tattoo shops over the years and Pops is in my top 5 favorite. There's gonna be a line around the block soon.
