Had such an awesome experience here! Discovered this spot when my husband and I were looking at a local place to get our daughter's nose pierced. Sid did an amazing job and my daughter felt very comfortable and taken care of. Came back a couple of weeks later and had a beautiful piece done by Sid on my forearm. I could not be happier with it! Shaun and Sid are the most helpful, caring tattoo artists. I went in for my first tattoo yesterday not knowing a thing about tattoos and walked out with a sick tattoo and tons of information about upkeep for it. They are personalized and very friendly. I just wanted to do this review on yelp because I had a great experience with distinctive Tattoo and body Art. My artist was Sid and she is such a nice individual and I love my tattoo. She's amazing. I first called them and Sean the owner answered and he told me that Sid was there and to come in to the shop and talk with her, so I did just that! I waited for about 15 minutes and she was taking a break from the tattoo she was doing right then! She was so nice I told her what I wanted to get and where and she said if you have  a picture of something similar text me and then I'll have something on Friday evening drawn up and then we will have more time to do your tattoo.  When I got there at my appointment time I was greeted by her and she had three drawings for my tattoo and I picked one out and I told her how I wanted it on my forearm and she size it down and put it on my arm and then she began to do my tattoo. She was very nice very gentle and very sturdy with her hand she does wonderful work and I highly recommend her and I highly recommend this shop it's clean, & very organized and they're willing to go the extra mile to do a tattoo that you want. They're very professional and very sanitary at that shop and the employees that were there were outgoing and very personable! I felt very comfortable and the shop is inviting! Best tattoo/ piercing place around! I came by late one night with my friend. I got my nose pierced, she got her belly button pierced. All the staff were sooo nice. I've been in multiple times since, to get my nose piercing checked by Sid and to switch it out for me. She's super nice and has so much knowledge about basically everything under the sun. I would recommend them forever. I'm going back to get a tattoo done by Sid because she's had nothing but great reviews. Shaun is super nice and is always there. Came in to have my daughter's ears pierced for her 15th bday. Not just regular piercings, but a rook piercing. I guess this is supposed to be a little painful but my daughter didn't even flinch with Sid. She was great!!! She was very knowledgeable and patient too. I have been coming here for 2 years and I will not go elsewhere. Both of the artists, Shaun and Sid, are incredible at what they do. When you walk in you are greeted by one of the two apprentices. Both are nice and really know what they are talking about. They can help with some style, placement, and pricing.Sid makes you feel like a friend right away. She does most anything. Her line work is amazing and she makes the piercing process as sanitary and comfortable as possible. Honestly, she has on of the lightest hands I've ever been tattooed by. You can tell she takes a huge pride in her work and wants to make sure you're 100% satisfied with whatever you get on your body.Shaun's work is incredible. He can be a little intimidating at first, but once you get talking to him he is super friendly. He is very knowledgeable in his craft and isn't afraid to be honest about what will and won't work for your body. All in all I love this place and everything I have gotten done there. I highly recommend DBA and Sid. I went in for the daith piercing to try and get my headaches under control and I am thrilled with the results! Sid is super chill and really professional, she knows what she's talking about and has a very customer-oriented approach. She let me get comfortable before doing the piercing, and let me take time to decide whether or not to get the second ear done as well, after she had already done the first and marked the second. Sid made me feel so comfortable as I considered piercing my daith in each ear. She has experience piercing the daith and I felt no pressure from her whatsoever to rush or even to get both. She was clean, professional, and easy to interact with. The piercings look great and the pain is minimal, just about exactly what one might expect from having new holes created in their ears. I'm from Wisconsin and was in Cali for vacation. Stumbled across this place because I google searched for tattoo shops in the area and chose it based on the reviews i read, and I was NOT disappointed. Hands down the best service and interaction I have ever had with any tattoo shop. Sid was my artist and was kind, incredibly helpful and knowledgable, so soooo sweet. My friends and I go down once a year just to visit these guys! Shawn is always super cool, and puts up with us, and sid is always chill about working on us. Each time we go down we end up staying about 5 hours, usually until 1 am. Sid is great with conversation, did my first tattoo, I didn't feel a thing. Sid worked so hard making sure my geometrical arm bands were perfect. And gosh they are. An amazing studio. Walked in a month and a half ago or so to get a replacement ball for my industrial and Sid was very kind to do that but also lay out a few pointers in care for the piercing and how they affect people differently. The Studio is amazing, very clean. I have been pierced by Sid and she took the time to make sure I knew every thing I needed to take care of it and when I came back in she made sure to check on it every time couldn't ask more from her, she's amazing. This has to be one of the most professional shops I have been in.. I have gotten quite a few tattoos and this shop is very impressive. First squeaky clean sterile environment, there are a lot of shops that dont even clean half of what is done at this shop. Second very professional staff t help you decide the best art for you I think it is extremely important to get the right for the area you would like to cover. Last but not least was the quality of tattoo I received, has to be hands down the best tattoo I have gotten...ever... Shaun the artist had such a lite hand and the ink was quality soo bright and vivid... I had to leave a review as I will be returning to this shop for all future pieces. Read Less
