Came in a week early to get a consultation with Bart (aka Bg) and this was by far the best consultation experience ever. For starters, the receptionist (I forgot her name) was absolutely wonderful, she was welcoming and made sure that I understood their tattoo process. When I met with Bart, I told him some ideas I had and we then scheduled my tattoo for the following Saturday (2/9/2019). Day of tattoo: I told Bart that I changed my mind on the overall tattoo and I told him I wanted an elephant instead of a mermaid, which he was okay with. He went to the back and sketched up some ideas and included me in the entire process. He came to the front of the shop multiple times to ensure that I was okay with the ideas he was designing. During the tattoo: He constantly asked me how I was doing. He made jokes, talked about life and his career. He made sure that I took a few bathroom breaks and that I was satisfied with the entire process. I must say, this was by far, the best tattoo I have ever received. The tattoo came out way better than I could have imagined. Bart has so much talent and I look forward to scheduling another appointment with him soon. This was a birthday present well deserved.

My tattoo came out perfect! I love it!! My artist is Low Saelee...he is awesome. He listened to what I wanted and delivered. Everyone I showed my tattoo to, loved it! My body is curvy, so he was able to draw the Phoenix to flow with my curves. I love my tattoo! I'll be adding more to it in the future, but I do love it just the way it is right now. No regrets! I totally recommend this shop!

I will say I have also followed Manuel from 2 tattoo shops myself , and he does some amazing work! When I first walked into Iron Monkey It did not feel like some tattoo shops I have been to . It was clean professional from start to finish . My mother had work done by Mikey, he does some dope as ink as well . Have also seen Heidi in action great work as well. Looking for some of the best artist in Sacramento I do recommend you check out this shop !

I've been tattoo'd at a handful of shops in Sacramento over the years. To name a few places where I've gotten inked : old sac tattoos, liberty tattoo, side show studios, bonehead tattoos, heavenly tattoo (closed ) and one more place I can't remember the name of. I can honestly say after getting work done by Heidi at Iron Monkey I will go no where else for ink. She is an amazing artist, she can do some crazy ink. Heidi has done my last three tattoos and she is also working on a full back piece for my bf. She is not the only good artist in the shop, everyone there is awesome. This is NOT a shop full of douche bag artist waiting to take you money for mediocre work. Iron Monkey is a newer tattoo shop in Sac, it's decor is modern, they have local art work for sale on their walls and the shop is super Clean and artist are down to earth, friendly and professional. The best -they don't over charge you, there prices are very reasonable.

Chris at Iron Monkey is amazing. I had a small wrist tattoo done at a nearby studio about a year ago and I was extremely unhappy with it. I was also terrified to go get it fixed since I probably only had one shot left! Chris did an amazing job of fixing the areas where the previous artist left scar tissue and he color corrected it perfectly, turning it into something I love. Chris is super easy to talk to, listens to your ideas and gives honest input. I highly recommend them. Glad to have some good guys in town!!
