Can not recommend this place enough. Went in earlier today to fix a really poorly done tattoo done by a very confident yet terrible artist. The owner, Chuck, did an amazing job. He is a really cool guy and even though it hurt the time flew by because he is a cool guy to talk to. The over all atmosphere was comfortable (unlike a different local spot which I am pretty sure the guy was on drugs and just bad vibes. Not gonna name names because that experience I am referring to was a long time ago..) also lot's of cool decorations on the walls--funny signs and vintage toys and stuff. Chuck is well worth his hourly rate because he works very fast and efficiently. He helped me fix some bad ink that was embarrassingly sloppy. He picked out the right liners and shaders for the job and was finished in about an hour less than I was quoted at other spots. Seriously I don't really like or trust a whole lot of people but the owner Chuck just seems like he is genuinely a really good person who takes pride in his work. I rarely review anything unless the service is amazingly good or amazingly bad and the service I got here was really that good of an experience for me. Wow.. So seriously the ONLY complaint I have about this shop is that I was kinda cold... But 5 hours with your shirt off, on a rainy day, in an older building.... Yeah.. Not their fault... Chuck and Glenn are great guys. Chuck did my work this time.. He's so fast... Got two big pieces on my shoulder blades and it took way less time than I thought.. And they look great.. These guys are great for conversation and keeping you distracted too... ... I like to have more than 1 artist do my ink... Which is good cause these 2 are definitely both getting added to my list.. I've been to Sins of the Flesh multiple times and will continue to do so for all my ink needs! I've been to quite a few tattoo shops over the years and I can say that beyond a shadow of a doubt that Chuck's shop is by far the most comfortable, laid back and welcoming shop I've been too. There's no blaring music, no douche bags with enormous chips on their shoulders, just a guy who loves to talk toys and comics who has an amazing talent for art. (ok I figured out how to upload a photo) Chuck is a very steady hand artist who does the best line art. My tattoo's color and quality is gorgeous. My tattoo goes from my knee up my thigh. A grinning Cheshire cat who has his paw on a mouse's tail. The mouse has a harness that has strings going up to the head of a beautiful pin up woman. Looks like the pin up head is a balloon holding the mouse in the air as Cheshire cat is not letting him go. Mouse has the Mad Hatter's hat in one hand. The Cheshire cat's body is faded into pink, purple and black swirls of smoke. I hope that my description gives you a visual of how amazing and loved this piece of art that Chuck did means to me. Chuck is absolutely amazing. He listens to what you want and brings it to life. He did my first tattoo, and since then has done 4 more on me (1 was an addition to the first), for a total of 5 tattoos. I'm beyond words happy with every single one. He even went on to do the two pieces that my mom has, and one for my cousin. He's extremely professional and personable. While you're in his chair, he makes you feel as though you're two friends catching up. His shop is small, but clean and filled with some of the coolest action figures, collectibles, and posters. All that alone was enough to distract me from the pain!I highly recommend Chuck if you're looking for any type of work!
