This review is for the amazing Josh Turpin.I had a consultation with Josh a couple weeks back hoping to get a clock on my forearm. After many failed attempts to find a decent artist, I came across Reclamare on Yelp and read many amazing reviews about Josh and his work. When I came in for a consultation, he was very friendly and open to my suggestions about my tattoo. He had his own suggestions for making it look more detailed and personalized to what I was trying to achieve. I came in this morning for my appointment and it went amazing well. Josh showed me the most beautiful sketch and we got started right away. He was very detail oriented and took his time making my tattoo look amazing. I'm in love with my tattoo and Josh's work. You can definitely tell that Josh loves what he does. I couldn't be any happier with my first tattoo experience. If you are looking for an amazingly talented artist, Josh is your dude! Reclamare is full of talent and has a healthy atmosphere. The artists seem to respect each other, support each other, and each of them have always been nice to me. I never leave reviews but this place is awesome. I've been working with Chris Yoakum on a half sleeve and will keep coming back after this one is complete. Everyone in the shop is laid back.This is my first tattoo and Chris' approach is extremely professional and personable. Very attentive to detail and placement; you can definitely tell he loves what he does and holds himself to high standards. Definitely check his portfolio out online and see for yourself, seriously. Got an existing tattoo touched up yesterday and this by far has been my best tattoo experience. The atmosphere was amazing and the artists were spectacular as well. My fiancé and I were originally going in to have a consultation with one of the artists but he forgot about our appointment ( I won't say his name because he flaked but even still he's a sick tattoo artist!!). The boss, who is also a GREAT artist, quickly fixed our problem and offered to have me come in to fix my tattoo the next day even though he was all booked! Talk about great customer service! When I came in he and his wife, who is also an amazing artist, both had cool conversation and good vibes and made me feel very comfortable and at ease while getting my tattoo fixed. I never thought I'd let a tattoo artist freehand draw on me but I did and I'm glad Corey was the one to do it. After finishing my tattoo I scheduled for my next appointment and Corey gave me a card telling me when I could expect an email from him with sketches for my next tat idea. Wow! Never had that done before either. Overall I'm very happy with my experience and the artist that I met. Definitely recommend this place!! Ps. This review is for Josh Turpin.  I had good experience with this tattoo shop a few years ago when Alfredo did my first tattoo  and he left Sacramento.  I went back there last summer for another tattoo and Josh did it.  I designed a few kanji and a zen circle for my lower leg. Josh took 5 hours long and charged me $140/hr.  Total was $700 for a medium size tattoo.  What a RIP OFF!!  Since he did SLOWLY, he caused MORE PAIN than necessary.  WORSE yet, whatever he did, the purple ink from the stencil got mixed into my tattoo which was supposed to be green.  So I still see some dark purple ink on my green tattoo as of today, which is permanent.  I had had more than 10 tattoos and never had this happen to me before until Josh did it!  I think he sets people up for going back there for touchups, but no thanks I won't go back to him again! Sadly my experience and this place was bad, I got my first tattoo and scheduled a second one, on the second one Tayler said he would touch up the first but then he was in a rush and didn’t have time. I had schedule a third appointment for another tattoo and gave him an image for the third tattoo 20 days earlier when we finished my second one. I gave him total freedom to do it according his artistry but the day before the actual appointment he said he didn’t like the ideas and it wasn’t working for him, I told him he could do something in his style and I trusted him. The morning of my appointment he asked me to move it one hour later to continue working on it and I said fine, but 30 minutes before my reschedule appointment he said he wanted to re schedule my tattoo altogether. My time is as valuable or even more than his, nobody is gonna give me a safety deposit or anything for taking that day off from work, so I asked for my deposit back becoause in this business he is allowed to get a deposit from me in case I don’t show, but I’m stuck if he cancels me the same day. I stopped by to get my deposit he wouldn’t even hand it to me he left it on the counter with my name! Time management and human skills on his behalf made my experience very disappointing, now I have to take the time to find a new artist and have that person touch up Tayler’s. Read Less

I came here for tattoo work from Jessica White. This shop has a completely different vibe from any other shop I've ever been in. All the artists were down to earth and nice. The shop itself is absolutely spotless and well organized. There wasn't loud and anxiety inducing music blasting like most shops. I knew prior to booking, the caliber of artist she was, so I was confident I would be pleased with the final product. But boy did she blow me away! I absolutely adore it. Anyone who knows me, knows I am extremely picky when it comes to picking a tattoo artist and a shop. Let's all remember, this ink is permanent! I often drive down riverside on my daily commute to work and have  always noticed this shop. After months of researching and reading reviews I finally decided to contact Josh. To my surprise Josh responded very quickly and was very interested in the work I wanted to have done. I shortly met up with him for a consultation and i knew he was my artist for this piece!  Very approachable and down to earth artist!On the day of my tattoo I arrived early with Josh still prepping his station. He invited me back and showed me his hand drawn idea of what I wanted. It looked amazinggg! We began and four hours later I was finish! He's very easy to work with and very professional. The shop itself is very clean with a lot of great artwork scattered around. I was also able to talk with another artist briefly named Jessica, she also does amazing work and was very friendly while we chatted during a 5 min pause for the cause break.This shop has great vibes all around and it's definitely shows through the artists and owner who represent this shop! I had an amazing time getting a tattoo here. My artist, Josh, was extremely helpful, flexible, and creative. I saw that his books were open on instagram and emailed him. After going back and forth, we met for a consultation and to take measurments of my arm. A couple of days before our first all day session, he sent me a draft of his sketch. I asked for a different lamp, since I was unclear when I first talked to him [my bad! Lol]. He adjusted the sketch and it came out amazing! I gave him my idea and he basically added his creative flair. It took two all day sessions, since my skin was somewhat hard to saturate. It came out great! I highly recommend this shop. I've had a fair amount of ink placed on my body over the years, but don't plan on having any further work done unless it's by David Barnitz at Reclamare.First, I consulted with Dave about a coverup for a stupid, old, janky tattoo on my left forearm. We talked for a while in the (awesome, comfortable) studio space. Not long after, he emailed me some ideas and sketches based on our conversations. I selected the idea I liked best, and off we went! The resulting tattoo is beautiful. Few recognize it as a coverup and I get many compliments on the design, placement, and colors.But Dave's other drawings were also awesome, so not long after, I went back and had him place one on my right forearm. This one gets even more compliments. It's really gorgeous.Dave is a talented artist who truly listens to what you want, and creates amazing custom pieces. Pleasant and painful (in the best of ways!) experiences here. This tattoo gallery is full of fantastic artists who put their heart and soul into their work. The atmosphere is calm and clean with a modern vibe. Don't let the decor fool you, the house artists offer an array of styles and are happy to work with your tattoo ideas. I've gotten two tattoos done by Jessica so far, and I can't wait to get more! This last time I went, I was really impressed with her artistry. I wanted a small tattoo done on my inner wrist, and I wanted it to have a baking theme. I didn't really have any specific kind of layout in mind, only that I wanted a slice of cake and "Bake Cake" somewhere. Jessica actually drew the tattoo design directly onto my skin! It was awesome to see what she came up with right there. The... design she drew was even better than what I could picture in my head. Once she started tattooing, she asked me what kinds of colors I would like for the cake and then I let her run with it. It was awesome! The tattoo from start to finish only took about an hour which was very reasonable and quicker than what I thought. I have another tattoo planned with her for next month and I can't wait to see how it comes out. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants a completely custom tattoo with amazing talent.
