I came in with a couple friends to get piercings just a little bit ago.I should have known by my conversation on the phone with Joe, that he was higher than a kite. I don't mean stoned, I mean this guy was completely gaked on dope It started with his unprofessional and completely inappropriate comments.This guy was all over the place. My piercings came out fine, however I was so uncomfortable as someone in early recovery.After my second lip piercing, I began to faint. He was unaware of what to do, I'm assuming because he was so high. He proceeded to tell my friend who said I needed sugar, that he has done this for years and knows what he's doing, but was just standing there. At the end he carressed my friends ass.This was the most uncomfortable and unprofessional situation I have ever been in. :(EDIT: The owner reached out to me and my friends and refunded our money and redid my friends piercing and gave us gift certificates. Soooo....the piercer at Wild Bill's yesterday totally pierced my septum crooked and the jewelry was huge and externally threaded! The piercer said because of my deviated septum it would look crooked but that it would even out in a few days once the swelling went down. I wasn't buying his excuse. So I went to my normal piercer today and had him take a look and he said in his opinion the piercing was WAY crooked and that he couldn't believe the Wild Bill's piercer would let me walk out with an obviously crooked piercing. So he took it out and re-pierced me with a much smaller piece of jewelry. The new piercing isn't anywhere near the holes where I was originally pierced because the guy at Wild Bill's didn't even pierce my septum, he missed it by a mile!  That's what I get for being impatient and not waiting an extra day for my normal piercer to be working! On top of that in my option and my normal piercers opinion the aftercare instructions Wild Bill's gave me were SO wrong! Totally old school instructions before anyone knew better. Read Less

This bill guy is a weird republican who imposed his negative view of tattoos on young people (even though he's fully tattoo'd)..we're from another state where it's legal to tattoo at age 17 as long as parent is present. Got my first tattoo done at this shop from Myke. I explained my vision with two separate photos, and he combined them flawlessly. This is the place to go if you want an affordable, high quality tattoo. Myke was trained well and knows to focus on efficiency when tattooing; you can rest assured knowing not a single minute that you're paying for will be wasted. He started by pencil sketching the design and then turning it into an ink stencil and applying it. I didn't like his original placement and he had absolutely no problem wiping the stencil off of me and reapplying it somewhere else.The process was painless (literally) and I was much more focused on the interesting stories that both Myke and Bill provided during the session than I was on the needles stabbing my forearm. The tattoo was done quickly AND precisely, which is definitely a solid combo. For my quarter life crisis, I wanted to get a tattoo I would not ultimately regret later in life. I searched far for a decent one locally, until I finally settled on a guy in San Jose who quoted me $450 for the size and design I wanted. My boyfriend told me guys here did the Sacramento Kings tats, and if they are good enough for wealthy basketball players, they are good enough for me.To keep it short, MYKE is an amazingly talented artist. His artwork on the wall is a small portion of the techniques and skills he utilizes, his Facebook looks more like a art gallery and I am not exaggerating. I brought In a rose reference that was flat and undimensional and he made it something I am very proud to have permanently. His bedside manner is great, he gave me a lollipop and had me lay down after I was shaking from tensing my body up. And no, it did not hurt. It was more like a minor annoyance.I am very nit picky especially on something I will have permanently, and Myke was patient and understanding. Honestly I was borderlining on being a pest and giving him little creative freedom. But he took it like a true professional. Plus, he charged me far less than what I was quoted on the original guy. I entered Wild Bill's on a Friday evening with my daughter in hopes of speaking with someone to get her nose pierced. When we walked in, there were six men in the parlor, and not one acknowledged our entrance. We stood and browsed their their art for fifteen minutes, I was extremely disappointed when within those fifteen minutes, we did not receive one word, nor a glance in our direction. Clean environment.  They would spread rumors about this place because they wanted to promote other places in the Roseville, California area.  I don't follow the pawns.   This place is located in historic downtown Roseville.  They have been applying body modifications for more than a decade,  that is why major tattoo artist from differrent major cities for example New York, come to this place to relax and do what they love but without the stress of dealing with a large cities population density.  My tattoo artist and piercing artist were very professional and safe. They would recommend different ideas to me because of people not knowing about the tattoo industry.  I have magazines on major tattoo artist like Lalo, tattoo artist highlites on their work on celebrities like Wanekago and Wake Flocka Flame. I have watched about 8 seasons of Ink Master, Miami Ink, New York ink and have gone to 1 University for Physical Education and teaching- Secondary Education, Art, and 1 community college for History, Chemical Dependency, Ceramics and Peace and War.  Me and my tattoo artist discussed having more melanin in my skin and how to apply the body modification in the best way possible.  My artist name was Rocky he specializes in dragons, snakes, skulls, Japanese style ( new school and traditional) black and gray, sea creatures, grim reaper, demons, devils and large bold tribal.  When I was getting my body modification I told my artist to add more because I wanted to test him and see how good of an artist he was.  Then he told me that he's got this and that's when I trusted him.  My body mod3ification did not hurt at all it was the good kind of pain. The owner of Wild Bills was across from me reasearching different historical topics.  I then fell asleep during my tattoo and woke up and my tattoo was finished.  They wrapped my right arm up and I was on my way.  My body modification has been healing amazingly, and it's still healing, it's been getting darker over the period of time while still showing the blend from my skin tone to black ink very well.  I will be back or ask them of a recommendation on where to purchase my next body modification.  Becasuse the name of the Shop that you purchase it means nothing.  The inside of the Shop and the artist that are there is the main things that show a consumer how good the shop is not because a place is in a rich area because a place is in a historic area.! I got my tattoo on Sunday 10/29 and am so in love with it, Jose did an amazing job! He was funny, nice and listened to everything I had to say about the tattoo I wanted. I've never had any body piercings done so as this being my first piercing, the experience sucked. I got my belly piercing done and the guy that pierced it pierced it crooked. And on top of that, he gave me tattoo aftercare solution to clean it. So within a month, I thought I was taking care of my piercing. But little did I know the instructions were not even correct. As a month passed I noticed that it didn't look like it was healing at all. As I know belly piercings take long to heal but my piercing was always irritated. Do not get me wrong the customer service is good, but it ruined my first experience of body piercings.. And I must admit I was a bit concerned as when I made my appointment with Bill he said I would be with KJ, then he called me 90 minutes before the appt and changed me to Scott. Ok no biggie. Then when I showed up, Scott was busy and not my artist but KJ was now and I had to wait a bit. So I was second guessing my choice. But hey, it was a Friday and they were really busy.Bottom line is KJ was excellent! Drew up exactly what I was looking for and laid the ink down perfectly! About 3 years ago I had a tattoo done here. I got 3 words "love strength & loyalty" tattooed on my shoulder blade. The guy who did my tattoo showed it to me before starting the job. Obviously he showed it to me in a mirror. I was focused on the font style, size and location. After I got home I checked out my tattoo again and was horrified to see that he had misspelled loyalty. I called up and was told I had to wait till it healed to go back in so they could correct it. They did correct it, but people always say things like "it looks like they covered a spelling error up." I realize that this is partially my fault because I did look at it before it was tattooed on me, but in the moment I think it's understandable that I was more focused on other things rather than the spelling of 3 simple words. Looking in the mirror at words also can be tricky. Spelling should be something a tattoo artist knows how to do.I find this extremely unacceptable for a tattoo parlor. I was never offered a refund for the tattoo which I should have demanded. It was my first tattoo, but 3 years later I have many more tattoos that were done properly and have worked with many artists and I can now say that my experience was with this shop was unprofessional and something more then just a quick cover up should have been done.There is little to no room for error for tattoo artist. He acted like any modification I asked for in his design was an inconvenience to him, even though his drawings were a completely different style than the numerous examples I showed him. Please, please please don't go here. They are extremely unprofessional and rude. If you want piercings I highly recommend dv8 or IICON but not this place, it's trash! I went with my friend to get his nose pierced and when we walked in we were completely ignored. Waited like 15 min just for anyone to acknowledge our presence (they only had one other person in the shop and she was getting tatted, so they weren't busy at all). After my friend got his nose pierced, we paid and gave an extra 10$ tip. Well the next day my friend felt like there was something wrong with his nose piercing. We went to dv8 and the piercer there told him that the piercing had been done WRONG and they had to take it out ASAP. We called to get a refund and they were so rude! We went in the next day for it and we waited for another 20 minutes until someone came over and rudely threw the money we had paid to our friend without the tip. This place is a JOKE. I absolutely love coming here to see Scott for my work. He is truly amazing and never disappoints! I have currently received 5 pieces from him over the past 3 years or so and am always planning my next. He is super easy to talk to, makes you feel comfortable, listens to your needs, and is a fantastic artist. I'm in the medical field and have turned into quite the germ-a-phob, but have never thought twice about Scott's cleanliness and infection control when tattooing! I'm at a loss for words when it comes to the names of the two guys that helped us, but they were incredibly nice & made myself & two girlfriends very comfortable. HOWEVER, the two of us (myself & a girlfriend) that got septum piercings wasted our money. They were pierced completely wrong, not in the sweet spot at all. The guy didn't even feel to see where it was. They were incredibly crooked too! My friend came back a few days later & the guy had the balls to ask if she hit her nose on something.... As if that would change the piercing! The jewelry used was massive too! It almost hung down to my lip! Also, I was obviously expecting to be sore, but it was incredibly painful. Now that I have had it redone by someone that knows what they are doing I have 0 pain & I'm two days out!I really was hesitant on writing anything at all for fear of being a jerk, but I don't want anyone to waste their money or have to go through what we did. Great experience! Came in for the Friday the 13th tattoo special. They had so many different options on the flash sheet, all very unique and versatile. They were very patient with me even though I came in still not sure on what I wanted and where I wanted it. The shop was very clean and I like how people can't just walk around where they do the tattoos, safety reasons I'm sure and made me feel better. KJ did my tattoo; he took his time, lines look great and the color is awesome, he even went over a small home done tattoo for me because it was faded. Nothing about my experience felt rushed or negative, my whole experience was positive, can't wait to go back! My mom also had her first tattoo done at Wild Bills by Myke; a bigger arm peice and it is awesome! We love Myke's work so much, she's coming all the way back from Oregon to have it finished. (My HUSBANDS opinion vs MY opinion) He was tattooed here and loved it. We actually met Wild Bill when my husband got his second tattoo and he was a funny man. The thigh piece my husband got here is his favorite tattoo that he has but he said they can be heavy handed. They work fast though and get the job done. He loves his tattoos and was very happy with the overall experience. I did not like this place. The staff was nice and I like them but I was not allowed to sit with them and watch my husband get tattooed. I had to sit behind a giant wall for hours talking to no one and that REALLY bothered me. It made me feel like they were hiding something. I've never had a tattoo shop not let someone, the wife of all people, sit with their husband. I cannot remember the artists name but the man who did my husband's arm piece rushed the hell out of it. It looks great but I saw things that need better saturation. My husband's thigh piece though it lovely.Here comes the bomb shell though, while my husband and I were in the shop, a woman came in to get a cover up of a terrible tattoo (luckily small) that have been done by another artist AT THE SHOP. I was a difficult canvas, as I moved and jerked a few times from the sensitive area placement, but he was patient and had a sense of humor about the whole thing... Sorry again Steve, I really was trying to be still.During my consult, Steve took the time to explain my cover options and drew several outlines until we found the perfect choice. After hearing good things about this shop from my brother, a friend and I decided to go in last week for her first and my second tattoo. I called before hand to make an appointment. The guy on the phone was very nice and took note of what we were looking to get. However, when we got there and reiterated the very small tattoos that we wanted both artists seamed unsure about their skill set and irritated at how small we (especially me) wanted them. My guy after trying a couple times decided to make a stencil. The first one he designed was completely crooked. That should have been my warning, why wouldn't he, as an artist, put at least a little bit of pride into his work? When I pointed it out and ask him to do it again he continued to say "you can't nit-pick at small tattoos" The next one is pretty good and I comply saying before he starts "just please make it a small and clean as possible" Well, unfortunately I learned a lesson the hard way and that is to listen to your gut and do not move forward if you're not comfortable with the person holding the gun. I'm incredibly disappointed. The lines are uneven, crooked and way too thick (it's on my wrist:/) The cute dainty tattoo I have been imagining for the past two years is now a nightmare. First of all, I really don't know what's up with this place only having 3 stars. Seems kind of fishy to me, since I'm super nitpicky and I've never had anything but amazing experiences here. BUT ANYWAY... This shop rules. They're open early until late, they always answer the phone, the shop is immaculately clean (and I have OCD, literally, so this is everything to me), the artists are friendly and very talented, there's a big waiting area, the list goes on. My first experience in the shop was almost 6 years ago. I had two tattoos already, both pretty poorly done by people at other shops. I had bad experiences for both of them and wanted to go somewhere more reputable for the bigger artwork I had in mind. I'd heard of Wild Bill's since its been around forever, plus my then boyfriend had started a sleeve with Myke and it was perfect. Exactly what he'd wanted and really beautifully executed. I decided to see Myke for a consult to start my own piece, and from the getgo we really clicked. Myke was totally in tune with my vision and did a sketch that was even better than what I'd had in mind. I was elated. My first session with Myke was as quick and painless as a tattoo can be, we kept it light and chatted for the majority of it. At the end of the session he handed me a mirror to show me the piece and my jaw dropped. It's gorgeous. A while later I went back to add to it, and after a few other small tattoos in the time between I just resumed work on my back piece day before yesterday. Again, I'm totally wowed by the work I had done. I've got quite a few "tattoo snob" and tattoo artist friends and every one of them has nothing but the highest praise for the pieces Myke has done for me. I'm seriously blown away by how gorgeous my newest piece is, it's even better than anything I could've hoped for or imagined. Having the right artist in the right atmosphere is crucial for a good tattoo experience, and I'm so glad I've found that with Myke at Wild Bills. Make sure your artist is comfortable with your design.The guy I went to did an awsome job on my friend,but didnt like my ideas and said nobody could do a rock and make it look real. So he drew up another one and tore my practically tore my skin up doing it fast so it would be done by closing time. It was an ok start, but I had to go to a local place two days later to get it fixed. Even with it still tender, it didnt hurt half as bad as the wild bill guy. This is one of those places where coming in looking perfectly normal is a little intimidating. It's the biggest tattoo/piercing places I've ever seen and I've been stopping in every one I see, not quite ready for that big step. But as it turns out, the staff is helpful to the point of surprising. Liz could see I was a little scared as she explained to me how to take care of a belly button piercing I was getting. When we went into the piercing room, it was like doctors office. Bright inside and everything was chrome or white. The counters, sinks, everything was spotless. She was very gentle with me as I had my belly button done. And it didn't even hurt !!! Additionally, the jewelry selection is incredible and goes above and beyond what I've seen at any other place here in the area. These guys sell stuff that you just don't see elsewhere. I know I'll be back for some of the unique pieces they carry. I told Liz I was thinking about a tattoo. The waiting room was kind of full but she still took the time to give me a tour and let me look around at all the beautiful tattoos people were getting done. We went through a door that said ""do not enter"" and there was another waiting room and large tattoo area with three more people tattooing. They must have had eight people working that night .That place is big. I couldn't believe it when Liz said they have over 3,000 customers a year come through. That place was happening! I just wanted to write this review while the ink is still quite fresh. My new tattoo is awesome! I followed Tyson (from another shop) over to Wild Bill's, and as usual the work he did on me is superbly awesome! The folks there are funny as heck and I had a great time. It was a really busy Friday night. I could see that Bill was doing his best to keep everything sane and running smooth. He's a big guy, tattooed from neck to ankles, kind of scary but always willing to help you with your tattoo. The quality of work I witnessed while I was on the table was extremely high. The artists seem to really enjoy their work and at looking at each other's art. Its good to know that great artists there are always learning from each other. They don't want just to do tattoos off the wall, they want to draw something different you'll really dig. So if you want an amazing custom tattoo, look nowhere else than Wild Bills! Read Less

So I got another tattoo. It was a spur-of-the-moment, 'Oh hell, why not' kind of tattoo. Now don't get me wrong, it is something I have been wanting to get for quite some time now, and very well thought out, nothing I was going to regret in the morning. I didn't just roll up into Wild Bill's and say 'I'd like that trendy three stars tatted on my wrist or behind my ear. (no offence to anyone with that tatt). I looked at some of the artist's books and liked the work Myke was doing. We talked for a while an found the design I was looking for on the computer and viola, after a half hour of redrawing it I'm sitting in the chair, putting myself through this mess once again. After being there a couple of hours I could see the artists there are nothing if not professional they seem to really care about what your getting and why. Bill was there and he was a riot. Working on a drawing at his desk talking to me as I got my work done. He had lots funny stories of his 30+ years as a tattoo artist. Bill takes his work seriously and doesn't put up with people that take getting tattooed lightly. On the cleanliness level, this place doesn't eff around. They prepare the chair, and let you watch. Clean, clean, clean is like music to my ears. Post tatt they clean once again, explain how to take care of it, patch you up, and send you on your merry way. I Love the tattoo Myke did. I have to admit, I did not do any research on tattoo artists for my latest piece. The reason being, it was a lotus on my wrist that would be less than two inches wide. I figured that pretty much anyone could do it. Since I drive by Wild Bill?s all the time and I hear they have some great artist, I figured I'd stop in and see if they had a drop in available as I figured it would take about 50 minutes to get what I wanted. They are by appointment. So I?m lucky Kim had some time and she fit me in. She worked with me to figure out the exact design I wanted, I went and grabbed some food down stairs to kick up the sugar levels and she went to work as soon as I came back. All in all it took under an hour, I'm so thrilled with the results. She put so much detail into it. I know its not some great big back piece but it is five star worthy (It looks that good) I now have a new tattoo artist. Can't wait for her to re-do my lower back piece! Bill was working the front desk, he was really nice and fun to talk to while I waited. This is the best tattoo parlor I've ever been in and that goes a long way for me.
