Let me first start off by saying that I had come to this place because of all the good things i had heard about this tattoo shop. I had even visited their facebook page which had a photo of two different tattoos expressing the difference in the price of "quality" tattoos. I had been wanting to get work done on both of my shoulders, and had been saving up for it for some time. I thought that this would be a great place to go.That was my first mistake.I explained what I wanted, gave references and ideas. I felt like I had to fight him a little on what I wanted, but I had thought that maybe I had just explained it wrong.Chris was completely unprofessional.I had gone in with my boyfriend and nephew but there were signs that said only the person getting tattooed could be in the room, so they left to kill time. The moment we started the session, however, two other guys that I assume worked there came in, and they conversed about their personal lives, the girls they were screwing, and sharing photos their friends had sent them. One of the other guys was really creepy, and was incredibly inappropriate. One of the first things he said to me was that he thought it was cool that I had two guys, and when I had explained that one of those was my 15yr old nephew, he proceeded to say how they have to start somewhere, and when they're that young they cant last long anyways, then asked if that was taking it too far. I had obviously said yes and had given him a dirty look, and he stopped talking but would repeatedly tease about how I looked like I wanted to kill him every time he walked in.Chris had explain to me when we had first started that he had carpal tunnel, and would have to break every now and then, or he'd feel it in the morning. I was understanding about that, but we ended up taking constant breaks because he wanted to socialize with his friends that kept showing up. He kept apologizing and thanking me for my patience. Eventually, I called my boyfriend to come back, and that's when the other guys stayed out of the room. About the tattoo....When I was getting it placed, I kept adjusting it, and removing things. I had explained to him that I liked it simple, and not busy. I apologized for giving him a hard time, but he said that that was exactly what I should be doing since it would be on my body forever. I THOUGHT HE ACTUALLY MEANT THAT. I was so upset to later discover that he had added the details back on, that I had specifically asked him to NOT put on me. He added things to the tattoo without my permission or acknowledgement, that I didn't even know where there until it was too late. The opposite side was supposed to be exactly identical, IT'S NOT. He added things and details, and even free handed them with the machine at that. If he needed to put the stencil on again because he couldn't see the lines, I WOULD HAVE BEEN SO OKAY WITH THAT. He also shaded both sides differently, and his work looks Sloppy. Chris just did pretty much whatever Chris felt like doing. He bragged about his 29+ yrs of experience, and what he put on me was mediocre at best. This piece runs from my shoulders to my collar bones. Its not what I was expecting or asked for and I'm so upset that its not what I wanted. I HATE the extra stuff he added, again WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR KNOWLEDGE, and I think it looks so disgusting. I wanted this piece so bad, and now I regret ever stepping foot in there. This is on my body FOREVER. I woke up the next morning and was already thinking of ways to COVER it. I'm EMBARRASSED of it. That's not something you want to feel after getting a tattoo. This guy still wanted to charge me from the moment we walked in, til the end. He gave me a "discount" for his "fucking around" but I still had to pay $500 for a piece of shit. This guy represents the shop. If the shop is going to advertise quality work, then they need to hire quality artists who respect their clients, and their wishes. If you go in, and Chris is going to do your tattoo, my best advice would be to run for the hills.
