Inception tattoo is by far the best ink shop i have ever been to. Atmosphere in the shop is outstanding and all the artists are great, friendly and most of all have amazing talent. I have been tattooed by several artists from various places and have had bad eperiences from horrible work to horrible attitudes. Kali is a very stand up guy. He's really in tune with what you want, and from a technical standpoint, he executes really well. I didn't know much about tattooing other than seeing artists' portfolios and the style I wanted, but after sitting 3 sessions with him, you really grasp how much more there is to it. He's had my best interest in mind since day 1, and because of that I let him do his thing without interrupting. I'm 2 days out from my last session and nothing feels over worked. The artist I initially started with moved nowhere near as fast, and the work healed poorly. Quite the opposite here. Color standing strong and no scars. Happy to say I'll be starting a second sleeve this year with him, and then on to more after that. As for the shop, it's neat, clean and not swamped by people walking in all the time interrupting. The other artist, Whit and Mark are cool people, definitely a great environment. Can't ask for anything else here. Read Less

Over some time he has done cover-ups over a few of those old tattoos and I'm so happy and ecstatic with the work. So I wanted to get a tattoo for my 63rd birthday. I just wanted a little one color tattoo. I asked another shop to give me a price quote and their minimum was ridiculous for what I wanted. I then heard from Mark Salinas from Inception Art Collective and he gave me an appointment for the next afternoon. I was a bit late because I couldn't find it right away but Mark was so nice about it. He greeted me and made me feel at ease and knew exactly what I wanted. I hardly even felt him tattooing my arm, he has such a light touch. Not only did he do an awesome job on my tattoo, but he fixed one of my old tattoos with a new border and new coloring. The shop was clean and quiet and I couldn't have asked for a better experience all around. Inception Art Collective is located in the heart of Riverside in a clean and quite business center and is an appointment only studio so the foot traffic is almost zero making the experience with your artist very personal with the artist being able to devote all their time to your and your tattoo. I've been getting tattooed by the shops owner, Kali, for the last 3 years and his art work is nothing short of phenomenal. He has the ability to turn your ideas into reality and from my experience making those ideas even better than I could have expected. He puts a lot of time into his clients and their ideas and is also happy to hear your thoughts and opinions on drafts to get your tattoo the way you want it ! The shop is a lot different than most "tattoo parlors" as he does a great job of making it feel a lot more comfortable and clean than your average shop. Hands down the best tattoo shop I've ever set foot in. Shop was pretty easy to find and pretty accessible being right in the middle of the 215 and 91 fwy. Also it was is super clean and such a relaxed and laid back environment to get tattooed in. They don't accept walk ins and are by appointments only so it really gives you a personal tattoo experience. My artist was Kali who is also the owner of the shop and there's just not enough great things I can say about that guy! Super friendly and willing to work with you and your wants for a tattoo. I showed him a design of what I was looking for and the dude just nailed it, even better than I could have imagined. I got tattooed today , the studio was clean an the music was enjoyable an relaxing. All of the artist were friendly which made the environment super comfortable.
