Called ahead to ensure they were open and could assist me with a piercing (earring fell out needed it to be put back in). Guy on the phone said he was there and it would be no problem. Drove 20 minutes to the place, door is locked, phone isn't accepting messages and no one is answering my knocking. Hours are up on the board and it's open, and the phone number listed does not have enough storage for a message.  Would not recommend, as I tried to make arrangements to avoid this unfortunate situation--bad customer service and communication skills. I'm really disappointed with this shop. I went yesterday for a piercing because I was told they had great prices but when I got there the "open" sign was on but the shop was closed. I get at   6pm on a Saturday. They didn't have their hours posted anywhere and did not pick up the phone. They were obviously closed which was a let down. Wow, so I was surprised at how easy the tattoo process was, and relatively painless in comparison to another tattoo I have. Red has a light touch and he made sure I was comfortable the whole time Real good prices too - also I liked a rendition of some tattoo designs I brought in and I went with one of his designs! He gave very thoughtful suggestions regarding tattoo placements and allowed me to try on multiple stencils and take a lot of time deciding. Gave thorough aftercare instructions, too. We ran into this parlor and loved the character it had so we walked in to check it out. There were a few customers getting things done that Sunday. The owner/artist here is named Red and he's one of the most down to earth likable guys you'll ever meet. He gave us a tour of his place that he's owned since mid-90s and the man definitely has a passion for what he does.We didn't get a tat because my wife and I decided a long time ago to keep our "slates" clean since we're older and have never been inked but we did end up talking to Red about renting out his cool place to do a small commercial shoot.Fast-forward to a few weeks later....we used Heartbreak Tattoo for the shoot and LOVED IT. The place has character and Red was great to work with. The dude's got the right personality for doing business and his customers looked very satisfied with his service the day we were there.If we ever decide to start inking up, we're going to Heartbreak Tattoo.
