Came in today to get my ears pierced (2nd hole), I have several other piercings (lips, nose, nipples, etc) and this is my first time going some place besides my usual. The guy that has done all of my piercings has since gone on to do other things which left me here. I called ahead to see if their piercer Would have time and to find out the price. They were polite on the phone and when I walked in. They had me fill out the usual forms and hand over my ID. Juan came out and only asked if I wanted diamonds or plain. He remembered what piercing I wanted from the phone call. He went to the back to set up while I waited up front. Once I was back in the piercing area he had me sit down and I noticed the jewelry was out already and noticed that it appeared to be the typical sharp stud usually used in a piercing gun. I asked and made sure he was doing it with a needle, as I am so not down with the guns. He assured me it would be a needle. He placed the marks on my ears and had me check it out. I okayed the placement, but asked to be pierced with a 14 gage as that's the size I like all my piercings. He somewhat rudely said that it would be more (the tone was rude as in he didn't think I'd pay not necessarily the words). I told him it was no problem but that I wanted a 14 gage only. I also made sure to mention that I swell a lot. He picked out fresh jewelry and took out a prepackaged needle. All else went smoothly. All I Would mention is that Juan should work on his tone when replying to things and that he should ask more questions about what the person wants before setting up. My younger sister went to get her her nipples pierced and the piercer said "take off your shirt" straight up zero respect.my other sister refused service after how badly we were treated! They pierced my nose here and gave me a messed up piercing (supposed to be a corkscrew) that would not go back into my nose. I went back in to ask them to show me how to put the piercing in after it fell out and the guy attempted shoving it into my nose a few times but it wouldnt go through so he told me that the hole was closed.... he said to come back after it was healed and theyd give me a discount to re-pierce it.... f that..... so i went to a different place nearby on the corner and asked them to help me. I showed them the jewlery that this place gave me and they said that it wasn't even a corkscrew. The man gave me a new piece and put it in effortlessly. They were also more friendly at the other place. I recommend going there instead.    I also found out that this place makes those pieces of jewelry themselves so they must have just given me a messed up one idk. waited 2-3 hours for the piercer to get back. the piercing itself was fine however customer service was not. i felt very unwelcomed. was my first time getting a real piercing (nose) and the piercer did not give me any direction on how to clean or care for it. all he said afterwards was "go." as someone who hasn't had a piercing before, this was kind of stressful. wish i would have gone somewhere that had actually given me advice instead of having to search the internet for a clue. very unprofessional and am sad that my first piercing experience was this bad. I've been coming to this shop for More than 8 years. Honestly the first time I came in was juuust to accompany my best friend to get her first tattoo. There are 3 tattoo shops on Orange Street in Redlands, and as 18 year old girls we had never stepped foot in one till that day. That night we went to Inkfamous & I remember it perfectly! My friend picked her tattoo out and the guy with no tattoos was about to tattoo my friend! I found that interesting and asked him about it, told us he promised his mother when he was a kid he would never get one. He became a tattoo artist and still kept his promise. While waiting we were hanging out with the other guys and they were cracking jokes and hilarious and rowdy! I asked about a hundred questions that night and every one of them got answered. I then had the courage to get one, talked to this guy with a goatee & told him I'd come back. I needed to be sure I'd be happy with my choice of a tattoo. We came back the following week and I got my first tattoo. Then the next week for my second one. To this day I love them both. They have a meaning behind each. We liked the owner Juan & the guys so much that my friend and I kept coming back! And each time we'd just hang out & over the years I've gotten nose & earring piercings, tongue piercing, (did u know not everyone can get a tongue piercing because of the veins that run under the tongue?) I've gotten all of my piercings here... Trust me you'll love them! Over the years, the shop was my sanctuary, the place to just hang out when I didn't know where to go. I've seen people come in and they want tattoos for different reasons. It's personal for them, from the beautiful women who have fought and beat breast cancer, to those showing remembrance of a loved one, to the brave soldier showing pride in the US Military, or just to remember a good night out with those friends who have become family. Each tattoo is personal. It's a part of who you are and the hell and beauty of what you have gone thru. It's beautiful. Inkfamous, thru out the years.. has become home to guys that create amazing works of art. These guys are rowdy and funny and will make you laugh your ass off or maybe you might get offended, and embarrassed at the bluntness, but what do you expect? You want a button down gentleman in a suit? Go to a Courthouse or a Church! But trust me, I've dated those church goers and lawyers, they have more tattoos under their collared shirt than you think. These rowdy guys no matter how rough around the edges they may be, are the best guys I've ever known! And I owe them and love them.
