Chris and Michelle saved me! After finally figuring out what I wanted and where I wanted it, I researched  who I wanted to do my tattoo.the first artist I saw shared that his specialty was really black and white and after 20 minutes of strong persuasion, I had set up an appointment. Took my 12 year old daughter to the Inkwell to have her ears pierced for the first time. Chris did a wonderful job piercing ears & posing as grandma, aunt and I were taking pictures. I had my first tattoo today at 59 years old. Chris was outstanding. He tattooed a zipper directly over a scar on my wrist. Everything was completely professional, clean, and safe. He was as nice as could be. Told me what was coming before he did it. I just could not have asked for a better experience. He has easy parking in the rear. His price was totally reasonable. I got my first 2 tattoos done here by Adam. Both times I came in with an idea and a picture and Adam really make them his own, putting in shading, colors, and suggestions I wouldn't have even thought of. I love them both so much and both times we got a really good deal cause my friend and I were getting tattoos together. The shop has a very chill and relaxed vibe which I think is awesome. Some people may take that as "unprofessional" but It definitely card my nerves and made me feel comfortable. Living in San Diego, Romona is a bit of a drive, otherwise I would have gotten all of my tattoos there. If you are near the area I definitely recommend going here! Read Less

I went to inkwell tattoo yesterday for a tattoo, I walked in and no one gave me any paperwork to sign or asked for identification, also no one introduced themselves so I had no idea who anyone was. When I got started one man seemed like he didn't know what he was doing so another man took over. This guy seemed cool and collected, but his skills were quite the opposite. He did my tattoo in 3 minutes leaving one word bolded and the rest barley filled in. The second he was done he ran over to his other patient and barley even looked to see if what he did looked good. I immediately knew I had made a mistake and instantly went to a better, cleaner tattoo shop where five different people looked at my tattoo and literally looked so shocked that they gave me a discount because they felt so bad about how messed up of a job they did. Chris repierced my lip (vertical labret) he did a great job despite the scar tissue and it came out perfectly straight. However, he first insisted I wear a much too large labret for 'swelling' and told me I could return the next day for a smaller one, I came back a few days later to be safe despite minimal swelling and he gave me an ridiculously tiny labret to replace it. My lip almost swallowed the entire thing immediately. It was painful, terrifying, gross and left a gaping hole that is still working on closing back up and that I am starting to worry may scar more than necessary. When I returned he brushed me off and told me to go buy what I want somewhere else. My original piercer (not from Inkwell) knew exactly the perfect size for me without even "measuring" as Chris claimed he did. I really didn't want anything to go wrong and was hesitant to go to Inkwell as Ramona is a small town and they may not get many customers purely because of the sparse population but didnt have many options without own transportation. If I do end up with excess scars I will very much of regretted going here. If I could do it again I would've gone to a bigger town, he seemed so competent and reassuring at first that he knew what he was doing. Chris has absolutely no idea what size my lip is or what size labret I need, I have since brought the labret to multiple other piercers who said that this one is for eyebrows only and is completely too small for my lip. Very very dissatisfied. If anyone reading this knows where I would be able to find a labret that actually fits it would be greatly appreciated. Read Less

We were walk ins...and got lucky enough that Chris had a cancelation. My husband and I both wanted the same Bear tattoo done in honor of our Uncle John, and I wanted a rose in honor of my friend Lisa. Hubbs went first, and Chris did a quick and beautiful job on Hubbs's bear. When it was my turn, Chris ask if it was ok for Victoria to do my tattoo. I was a little hesitant at first since she looks so young, but agreed to let her at least do my Bear. Victoria did a marvelous job on my bear and I had no qualms about her doing my second tattoo. Victoria did a fantastic job on the rose also, and when it comes time for my next tattoo I will make an appointment with her. The shop is clean and all needles came from sterile packages. 3rd session on my sleeve as we speak. Adam is amazing! Part of the sleeve is actually a coverup of a previous tattoo I HATE and you'd never even know it was there! His use and understanding of color and placement is exceptional. My dad and brother see him too and my friends are always asking for his number. I got my tongue and lip pierced here and couldn't have been happier.  Unfortunately, several years later, I no longer have either piercing, this was not as a result of the work done.  The artist was very professional, despite the group of friends that joined me.  He even permitted them to get pictures and poke fun while he worked.  It was surprisingly cheap and practically pain-free.  I would absolutely go back to him, if I were in the area still!!!!! I've gotten both tattoos I have by Adam. I absolutely love them. My 1st was a complete walk in. I wasn't even planning on getting one that day and he had me in the chair probably 15 min after I got there. I was a lil nervous at first however, not so bad that I couldn't go through with it. I was there by myself. My second one was quite a bit smaller from the 1st but I had called Adam and setup a time.I got my daughters name on my wrist but if I read it, it says her name but if someone else reads it , it says family. I don't know what that's called but it's my favorite one I have.  I was in and out with in 20 min. I am totally going back for my 3rd which he's already told me was gonna be about 15 hrs.... so I've been a total chicken about it and have gone but I hope to go soon and get it started. I got my belly button pierced here three years ago and they did a good job. It is a little bit small, but I am definitely not a tattoo shop connoisseur! They were friendly enough, but I made an appointment just for shits and the guy wasn't even there when I showed up. I had to sit around for about 15 minutes and wait for him. Very unprofessional. I also went here to ask about how to gauge my cartilage ear piercing. The guy just did it for me for free (I tipped him, though) which was nice. I guess the Ramona tattoo place isn't always "bumping," so they have time to do that kind of shiz. Read Less
