My artist was Adolfo and he was nothing short of amazing. I came in with 5 other friends all wanting to get tattoos, and he was very patient and willing to work with all of us. He did a great job of reassuring all of us that the process was simple and not at all that bad. I walked in at 6:30pm expecting only an appointment with Rob, because I have interest in the works he put out there. It was close to closing time and thought it was booked like many other places, but walked out with a custom made tat that I've been wanting. I showed the guy in the front desk what I wanted, and he said he can get it done today. I forgot to ask for his name in the beginning until the very end. Turned out the guy name is Rob! I was shocked and it was unexpected. Thank you, Rob! Love my tattoo and it turned out like how I imagined it with a touch of your suggested sound wave. I had gotten a tattoo here about a month ago by rich and after I had started the healing process I had noticed it wasn't healing like other tattoos. I went to my other artist and he had said the artist that did it went too deep in my skin it completely scarred and looks like shit. The artis also was drinking and his girlfriend is constantly in there and made him mess up my atom there was very little detail to be done and he even messed up on that. Will not ever be going back. I found Delta Art and Tattoo through a Yelp search. I emailed them to see if I could get in that Saturday for a simple tattoo of a paperclip. And almost immediately, I heard back from Jason, the owner, telling me to just come on in as there should be somebody available to see me. As he had stated, I came in that Saturday and was able to be seen by Rich right away. Rich did an excellent job on my tattoo. It looks realistic and is exactly what I wanted. On top of that, all of the guys at the shop were very friendly and personable. I called this place around 4:30pm today to see if they had a piercer and if so, when he/she would be leaving tonight as I wanted to change the jewelry to a daith piercing I have.  The guy on the phone was really nice and let me know the piercer would be there until about 8pm and to just drop by.  Great!I show up around 5pm and let the two guys who were working know I was there for a jewelry swap.  One of the two guys motioned to me to come back and have a seat.  I let him know I got my daith done in April and I'd like to change the jewelry if it was healed.  He literally smirked and shrugged at me, like this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ... off to a great start.He goes to take out my captive hoop and actually ends up stabbing me/slipping with the forceps and now I'm bleeding, cool.  I then start to get anxious and breathe a bit more heavier, he asks me what's I wrong so I tell him I'm anxious, he asks why and I tell him because I'm bleeding, in somewhat pain,  and I don't want to lose the piercing.  He lets me know I'm stressing him out with my breathing, pardon me.He tries to put my new jewelry in and isn't able to; the jewelry isn't long enough - something I would have expected him to gauge before taking out my jewelry. At this point, I'm freaking out on the inside and still anxious.  I politely let him know I would order a new longer piece and come back, but in the mean time lets put my original jewelry back in.  He seemed upset and let me know I could do that myself, perfect.Eventually he puts my original jewelry back in, after MUCH struggle with the ball.  He asked where I got the piercing done, I said out of the area.  He let me know that he hated this type of jewelry, this was clearly not done by him, and that it's the worst piece of jewelry.  Thanks for the feedback.I left the shop with a bloody ear, bloody jewelry put back in its bag/box, stress, and a painful ear from when he slipped/stabbed me in the ear.  I've spent the last 30min looking at the Facebook, Yelp, Instagram etc accounts for this place - including its artists and tagged photos.  Nowhere can I see a single mention/photo to a piercing; I am now thinking they do not do piercings and really had no business changing my jewelry or saying they had a piercer when I called.  Super disappointed in the customer blaming, insensitivity to my anxiety that this "piercer" showed me - no professionalism, no expertise, and no customer service.  I would 100% NOT approaching this shop what so ever for any piercing needs.EDITED TO ADD: the owner Jason promptly contacted me via my review and was very professional; he let me know this is not how they do business and is sorry for my poor experience.  He also let me know he spoke with the piercer.  At this time, my review stands as is and should I give Delta a second try in the future, I would be happy to give them an updated review. Freehand style drawing is exactly what I was looking for. It didn't come out like the picture image that I presented. The tattoo was off, wanted it to look just like the picture. It came out much bigger than I wanted it to be and went a little over an area I didn't want it to be. Which is kind of bothersome when I look at it.  I found it a bit expensive for a small tattoo as the size of a credit card.Some areas need a touch up and the color ink black on my skin faded already.  I  would have been happier if it came out perfect just as I wanted with no flaws. I have been trying to plan when I'm gonna get my first tattoo. And this was a day that I chose by complete random. I went in and was greeted by pretty much everyone. Rob approached me and helped me decide where I wanted to get my tattoo and if it would be unbearable pain( my first tattoo) but he was calm and patient with me. I know it was pure faith that he was available at that very moment and I went for it! It came out perfect! And thankfully it didn't even hurt! I have been getting tattoos from Jason since he was in Rio Vista and I refuse to let anyone else put a tattoo on my body. He always does an amazing job and every time I leave, I am happy with the piece I got. I was in there about a week ago to get tattoos with friends and he had me off that table in 10 minutes and the tattoo was perfect. Basic, small tattoo for shop minimum and it was PERFECT. Art is dull , if you want plan tattoos this is the place to come . If you want great tattoos i suggest you look around. I recently went to Delta Art & Tattoo.  Had made an appointment with the owner.  Arrived there and he had bumped me off to a fellow artist. And I felt it happened because there was more money to be made for him with the person he put in my appointment spot.Tattoo wasn't as good as my other one (done by owner) but it's ok.  Upon leaving the other artist says, "free touch up".  I have called 3 times left 2 messages on their phone message center and 1 message to a live person.  No return calls I won't be back Read Less

This place is tucked away near mid downtown Pittsburg ca. When I arrived I noticed the tattoo artists engaging in some recreational activities but I assume that is to be expected. My artist "Rick" I believe was really approachable and friendly. I asked for a small tat and he exceeded my expectations. The shop is fairly small but is bursting with art hospitality. The only constructive feedback I will give them is to finalize their service as I was left holding my money inquiring about the after care of my tat. I recently visited this tattoo parlor for some work. Ive dealt with a lot of artists and shops and i have to say, i always dread going to a new shop. a lot of times u have to deal with attitude, or a smug demeanor. this was not the case at delta. the staff was friendly and informative and was able to get me an appointment quickly. My artist was a fellow by the name of Richard, although  he is new to the delta art team, he had lots of experience, an excellent portfolio, and he made me feel right at home. very clean work space,He used top shelf vegan friendly ink, showed me all of my needles in the packaging and used disposable tubes. excellent work at fair prices. couldnt have asked for more in a new shop experience. i will visit delta art, and my new artist Richard again in the near future-cheers Read Less
