I'm only giving one star because the work that I was able to get done I like. Customer service is freaking horrible. First I've been to this place numerous times to get pricing set up an appt etc and each time I walk in I stand there waiting for someone, anyone to acknowledge a customer has walked through the door. The first few times I kind of blew it off because I "heard" good things but this last visit was enough. I walked in to set up an appt for a half sleeve when I walked in the employees looked at me and just turned back around to finish their conversation. Rude!!!!!!! Then after about several minutes of just standing there someone just looked at me as to say can I help you I told them I wanted to get a half sleeve and told them my idea no one said anything so I proceeded with a "okay do I leave a deposit for someone to draw" blah blah one of the guys took my number and said they'd call me when they had a drawing........that was like 3 weeks ago. This place is a joke, the employees don't listen and are inappropriate af. I will NEVER recommend this place. Read Less

I have gotten many tattoos at a lot of different areas. By far black diamond tattoo on railroad in Pittsburgh ca is the last and only place I'll be getting all my tattoos. Very professional and very clean environment. I have been coming to see James (Cashman) for a few years now and have known him for over 10 years.  He is an honest person and easy to be around, he does awesome work and makes you feel comfortable while in his chair. I had the best experience ever at Black Diamond Tattoo. The owner, James, did an amazing job on my first piece, I decided to let him cover my arm and leg! He helped me place everything I wanted  so It all flowed together and with my body. He really listened to what I wanted and his attention to detail was out of this world. So I've been here 5 times now and have to say I'm truly in love with all of my work. Ive had my entire back done and both arms and every where I go I get compliments! I needed a tattoo covered up and Bob did just that! The tattoo he put on my wrist is amazing and you can't even tell there was ever anything there. I wasn't too for sure what I wanted when I came in (butterfly or a rose) but he took his time and showed me a few different options and I went with a butterfly. James was the sweetest most accommodating dude ever! I got a wild hair and wanted a small tattoo on my elbow area, below a bunch of other traditional art that has become a half sleeve. I would love to give him a great review, but the rose is dark, two-tone, and matches none of the other artwork on my arm. It looks like it was done by someone that has a vague idea of what a rose looks like, but has actually never seen one in reality. Highly unprofessional. I seen thier work thought it was beautiful but, I gave Bob over a week to draw up my design. Said he would send me pictures. He didn't. Got there for my tattoo appointment and here are my list of things that went wrong. 1. He wasn't even there for my appointment. 2. He drew the wrong flowers on my design. I specifically told him twice no roses! He drew me roses! And I sent him pictures of the flowers I wanted. Not one but many. He replied ok sounds good but still managed to end up with roses some how. 3. The rosary was done wrong. 4. I felt really uncomfortable that a guy that worked there was making cocktails for a girl on a table getting tattooed. 🤔🤔 But what I will say is thanks for giving me my deposit back 👌. Read Less

James Cashman is a joke. He only puts effort into tattooing if he likes you or feels like it. Don't let him come anywhere near you! I've had to get my tattoo fixed twice because the day he tattooed me he just didn't feel like doing a good job and even bragged to someone about how he messed my tattoo up. I got my tattoo done by James Cashman the owner and he is a great tattoo artist. I got a little piece tatted onto my chest and James used his creative mind to make it look perfect. The shading and lines were on point. I am already planning on my next piece.
