I went in to get a conch piercing. The piercer (D'Luna) used a post that was so short and the backing was so small that the back slipped into my ear. I was unable to get it out myself and had to go to a doctor to get it surgically removed. The post was 1/3" long with the front and back studs at 2 millimeters width. So let me say first that my friend and I love the tattoo guy, he's the best! BUT, don't come here for a piercing tbh. I went to get a helix cartilage piercing about 4 months ago and it's been downhill from there! I already have 12 piercings and pretty much know the drill and clean my piercings many times a day and am careful with them so I know thats NOT the issue. I don't remember the girls name but she was nice and I was so excited to add to my collection... I was sooo wrong. She pierced me and it was $80!!! Just for one piercing and I went on my way. I was in pain the last few months trying to clean and fix whatever was going on but it got to the point that my ear was very large and inflamed and a bump was growing on the back and front of my ear due to this horrible piercing job. I went to a professional piercer and she was almost freaked out by how bad it was. I was in so much pain and it took her 20 minutes to rip out my earring from my ear! She had to NUMB me. She then spend 7 minutes pushing out puss and blood from the hole due to the SHIT EARRING that the original piercing put in me! She said it was the worst possible thing to put in my ear that high up and I am no expert but when she finally got it out and showed me it looked rusty and as if she bought it from dollar tree. I am so disappointed. $80 and I couldn't get decent jewelry?!?!???! And on top of it, my ear is totally F***ed! There is a huge gaping hole from her unprofessional work and I am so pissed. My new piercer really helped me and fixed me up and put no pull discs on me and changed the jewelry for $30. PLEASE RESEARCH YOUR PIERCERS!!!!!!!! Went to Edd for a jewelry change! The shop was easy to find in a really populated, fun area, and the staff was welcoming. Edd was really friendly and chill unbothered that I was a little bit late for my appointment. The piercing area was pristine, almost resembling a dental cleaning room which is EXACTLY the kind of ambiance you want from such a place. Came here for a walk in appointment for a stud nose piercing. Didn't take long at all, was pierced within 15 minutes. Came in asked for the price, the piercing is $15 and then jewelry varies, I went with a stud that was $45, but I got $5 off for checking in. Total was $55, but the prices can go up or down a few bucks depending on the jewelry you choose.Nice hole in the wall but not a welcoming vibe. I called ahead of time last Saturday to check what kind of documentation would be needed to bring my 17 and a half year old sister in for a conch piercing. I asked if I would be able to and the girl on the phone sounded apologetic and said they would need a parent present the entire time. I told them ok, I understand, and in that case, what does my mom and sister need to bring in? They were clear and said any kind of valid photo ID such as a driver's license. I told her my sister doesn't have her DL yet, would her passport be sufficient? They said yup and that was that.The next morning, both of my parents went with my sister to Prix around 12:15 for her conch piercing. They were in and out within 30 minutes and didn't have any issues with the staff. She chose a simple hoop and the jewelry plus piercing was only $35 without any Yelp discount. EdD was her piercer and she said he was very friendly and gave her all the info on how to keep her piercing clean even though she has 5-6 others already. Got my conch done here yesterday. I came as a walk-in and only ended up waiting less than 30 minutes with probably 5-6 people ahead of me. EdD was super laidback which made the overall experience a great one. The piercing was painless for the most part and went by very quickly. It's only been a day, but so far I haven't felt any pain or discomfort at all. This was an original design that he came up with as well, I knew I wanted the elements but didn't know how I wanted them to tie together.I have a super low pain tolerance and was unsure of what I wanted, but Tommy was the best. i came here to get my smiley pierced.i was very excited & very nervous but i came here because it's my local shop i wanted to show support.the girl at the front told me what the prices were. i picked out the ring i wanted.my piercer was Ed & he was cool. had a dry sense of humor or whatever. he walked me through the whole process & next thing u know it was done.i look in the mirror & it's the WRONG RING !!obviously they screwed up. which pissed me off cause i already had chosen the ring & obviously it was a lack of communication. Tommy is the best. If you're looking for font work or traditional, not only is he reasonably priced, he's worth the price he offers. He has a light hand and is very thorough with his after care instructions. A huge tip is that if you've never had tattoos, he will make your first time easy. He did my 7th tattoo and surprisingly didn't hurt as much as I would expect and he's very easy to talk to while you get tatted you forget the pain. FYI Piercings are walk-in only.My right lobe closed after years of neglecting to put in my jazzy Contempo Casuals earrings and I finally decided to do something about it. I know I know, this is probably the most un-hip review on piercings. #sobasic. But everyone there was friendly despite me being the oldest person there that day.I walked in, filled out a form and got it done less than 10 minutes later. EdD sterilized the earrings I had brought in prior to piercing and put them in both sides so I didn't have to walk out with just the one lobe. He walked me through the process before piercing the hole and updated me on the aftercare - easy peasy. Place is small but there is seating while you wait. It's located right next to Sushi Stop. I had one of the best experiences this weekend!  I went and got my nipples pierced! This is something that I have wanted to do for years and finally took the plunge to do so. I was always really nervous about the pain aspect as I don't do well with pain. Even when I get tattoos, I have to use a ton of Dr. Numb in order to make it so I don't feel the pain during process. Unfortunately, you can't numb yourself up for a piercing.The guy who did my piercing, EdD Herrera, was so nice and was just really focused on making me comfortable. We were joking, laughing, and listening to old Hollywood songs (which is a Sunday tradition for this shop). He explained the process to me and let me let me know that he was there if I needed to scream. He even massaged my nipples which is a common practice for a piercer who knows what they are doing. It helps loosed up the tissue and the nerves which make the pain factor reduce a bit. The next thing I knew though it was a deep breath, an intense pinch, and then we were done with the piercing. For me, the experience didn't hurt almost at all. That just means my nipples have next to no feeling in them. So my experience may not be yours!But this place is amazing and worth the trip! I've had my tragus pierced twice (first time was somewhere else & horrendous, second time was at prix). Whole experience at prix was quick, clean, and much less painful than the first time I pierced it. Based on this experience I came back here and got my double forward helix pierced awhile later. Definitely more painful and a much longer process than the tragus, but I have tiny ears and he was having a little difficulty getting the jewelry in there. Would definitely still recommend. My piercings healed beautifully came back to re-pierce it again when I thought they had closed. They actually didn't charge me for the second time bc my holes hadn't closed, and the piercer just needed to wedge the jewelry through the holes again (not fun, let me tell you). Came in on a Sunday morning because my tragus piercing fell out and I was struggling to get it back in and the studio that I originally had it pierced at was closed for the next 2 days. So in a panic I searched for the nearest shop that was open. The piercer that took care of me was named Eddie(sp?) He was super cool and had me out in no time. I had asked him if I should maybe invest in another piece of jewelry so that it didn't fall out again. This could have been the perfect situation for him to upsell me on some expensive jewelry, and instead he was honest and took a look at my current jewelry and the piercing itself to assess that everything was healing ok and that the jewelry was appropriate. He told me all looked well and made sure if was extra tight for me. You don't see this type of customer service very often. I'd suggest to people reading this review to steer clear of this shop. I came here a while back for a septum piercing and after the piercing was done, I noticed a discomfort in my nose and as if it felt like my nose was just forever sore and wasn't healing. I eventually took out the piercing and went to another shop that only charged me $15 for better service plus they gave me the jewelry along w my piercing as well. I was told at the other shop that whoever had did my piercing beforehand that they had did it crookedly which is why I felt a lot of pain and discomfort in my nose. I've also been reading other reviews saying the prices are expensive (which is true) and the place is small (which is also true). I'm not sure how the tattoos are at this space since my review is only in regards to the piercing but I think if you're gonna go for piercings, go anywhere else except for this spot. Read Less

Went here today and got my nose pierced as well as the Monroe piercing. First of all, this place is in such a cute area of Pasadena, afterwards I went and grabbed some cold coffee and ice cream across the street. All of the employees are super nice and make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. EdD who did my piercings is one of the most professional piercers I've ever had. He genuinely cares the you have a good experience and takes his time to place the piercing to where it compliments your face. ah ok so i couldn't be happier with my piercing !! i got a upper ear cartilage piercing (a helix i think it's called ??)  So since i'm 17 (underage) i had to come here with my parent, but what i didn't know is that you need YOUR ID with a birthday and photo along with your parents ID. i had to do an extra trip home and grab my passport and come back lol! but i didn't mind, i just wish they would post some information for minors somewhere. Came here on a whim while waiting to be seated for sushi next door. I was looking for new jewelry for my septum piercing which I had pierced at another shop in the Inland Empire. EdD was there to help me pick some out. He was very easy to talk to and knowledgeable. Right away, he knew exactly what shop I had my piercing done even though I accidentally kept thinking of Piercing Pagoda (unintentional diss). He also said great thing about them which was a great show of his character.Once I gave him an idea of the ring I wanted, he made some suggestions on sizing which coincided with what I wanted. He put my ring on so effortlessly and I couldn't be any happier. He later gave much needed advice on care to get the most bang for my buck. I went to EdD to replace a daith ring that was bent when it was put in by a piercer at another shop.  I was prepared to buy a new one because the existing one was so bent out of shape, but EdD was able to bend it back into a perfectly circular ring, thus saving me money on purchasing a new one.  Then, I worked with him to create a custom daith ring.  EdD put in some good research and provided me with very thorough details on my options including the pros/cons of each option, and his personal opinion.  The end-result was beautiful as shown in the picture.  It was a pleasure working with EdD.  In contrast to the experience I've had with other piercers, feeling nervous that they would hurt me or damage jewelry, I always had a light feeling working with EdD because I was confident in his expertise. I got my double helix done here and it was a very nice experience. The guy who did my piercing (Adam) was very friendly and helped me through the process and aftercare. They accept minors which can be hard to find, especially for something that is more advanced than a simple lobe. Have identification ready and have a parent near by to do so. The cost is also really good for the professional value, only $10 per helix plus the Jewelry. Studs start at $29, and rings at $15. The room is very clean and all the needles are single use and sterilized. Definitely recommend coming here for a piercing. Read Less

Employees: Everyone was very nice and welcoming here. The lady at the front desk was patient with me while deciding what stud to get. EdD was the one who pierced my ear. He was really nice and talkative. He talked me through the whole procedure, which took less than 10 min. It was quick and painless. He was also very thorough about aftercare and tips. Parking: You can park on the street, but it is kind of hard to find parking around Pasadena. Another alternative is a parking structure around the block. First 90 minutes is free. I took my son here to get a septum and industrial for his 15th bday. EdD is the one who does the piercing. He did a fantastic job!!! He made my son feel comforatable, he knew what he was doing, he gave very informative after care instructions including a business card with his personal cell on it and told us we could call him anytime "even if it's 2am on Christmas" if we have a question or we need him he's avaliable. There's a saying that you pay for what you get. Well here you pay for rude a rude piercer, overpriced jewelry, and a sketchy piercing area. The piercer was so rude I wanted to get up and leave. He treated us like children when it came to replacing jewelry. I was going to get pierced but the total was just about $80, no asking about the yelp promo or anything. This isn't my go to piercing place but it was close and I heard it was cheap (it wasn't). I thought about it since I didn't need to pay up front and figured I could go to my favorite piercer for less, so I cancelled it. My friend needed a hoop put in her nostril and the piercer interrupted her while she was explaining when she first got it done. If I could give less than one star I would. The whole place gave a terrible taste in our mouths, and we're pretty sure there were high schoolers getting pierced there without a parent :/ Read Less

NEVER GET PIERCED HERE. Pierced naval twice by main piercer. Crooked and rude. Pierced later again after it healed by nicer employee! Good. Went in for check up and first rude piercer shrugged his shoulders "eh its fine" when clearly it was being rejected and was infected. Went back the next day to double check since it looked bad and it was taken out by the nicer guy who did confirm yes, it was very infected and should have been taken out the day before by the head piercer who said "eh its fine"SERIOUSLY???  Not ok!! I went to Prix to get my ears re-pierced because I was certain that they had closed up.  The girl at the front was super sweet!  Helped me to choose some earrings - the rods are titanium, so kinda pricey, but apparently super good for piercings.EdD was my piercer and he was AWESOME!  Assessed my ears and explained to me that he likely could re-open the holes, and voila! He did!  Done in less than 5 minutes. He said no after care needed - just expect some soreness for a couple weeks. I came here after I feared my nose hole closed up. I ordered some nose hoops online after having a nose stud for the last 10 years. I had a lot of issue getting the hoop in, and it eventually fell out somewhere. Great.After 2 weeks without anything, I came by Prix on a Saturday evening. There were a lot of drop-ins, so I did have to wait about 20 minutes for my turn. That's not that bad, all things considered.I was asked a few questions by the woman working at the counter. She assessed what I had going on and was direct with my options. There were no promises that the hole was still open. If it was closed and I had to get re pierced, I'd have to be with a stud for another two months. If it was still open, I could go straight to a hoop. They wouldn't know until I sat down and had my turn. I appreciated that the expectation was set from the get-go. She was professional and wore a great skirt. She helped me pick out my stud jewelry just in case I had to go that route.My turn finally came, and I hopped into the piercers seat. I can't remember his name, but he had beautiful long blonde hair, and he was tall, so let's just call him Thor. Thor asked me some similar questions, and tried to pop something in. IT WENT THROUGH! But it was a little too small for the traditional hoop. He stretched it a bit, and he got the jewelry that I wanted in. He was upfront about any pain or pressure I might feel, and he was quick. He gave me a heads up that I might have some pain because he did have to stretch the hole.And just like that, I was paying for my jewelry and was out the door.My experience here was fast & professional, and I walked out with exactly I walked in for. I wanted my helix pierced and had some down time in Pasadena, so I yelped the nearest studio. Prix Body Piercing popped up! I decided to swing by to check out the pricing, talk to the piercer, look at their jewelry, etc.I walked into the tiny storefront and immediately met Adam. He was very chill, relaxed, and answered all my questions. Turns out he's been in the business for awhile and knows the dudes that switched out my conch piercing in SF. He also helped me determine where I should place the helix to match the aesthetic of my left ear lobe. That little 5 minute chat validated his qualifications and made me feel at ease.Alcohol wiped and piercing took seconds. Total was $25, including the silver hoop. Super happy with the results. I got my septum piercing done here a while back on a whim, and the main piercer, EdD, was rude and a bit condescending when I was asking about my swollen double helix piercings and throwing shade at the shop I got them done at. I also believe he overcharged me and did not honor the 20% Yelp discount. I paid ~$50 for a plain stainless steel ring and the piercing. A few weeks later, before my new septum piercing could heal, the piercing actually fell out for unknown reasons (that has not happened ever since) and I consulted with a different piercer in Moreno Valley, closer to where I go to school. She said the placement of the piercing itself was wrong, and it would take quite some time to heal before getting it redone. She only charged me $25 for the new piercing AND jewelry when I got it redone. That piercing has stayed in ever since, never gotten infected, and healed wonderfully! I've never gotten a tattoo here, but I'm only reading good things about the artist here, so yeah.What I'm saying is proceed with caution. Exercise caution. Each service was about $10-$20 more expensive simply because of the convenient Old Pas location. The shop was very clean and well-maintained, however. If you care about price, I would recommend In The Skin Tattoo and Body instead. Read Less
