Henna was more expensive than other nail salons in the area but there was no set prices on sample designs - whoever did the henna estimated the price you pay. I've had decent luck with the shaping of my eyebrows here (I've come once before and am sitting in the silent waiting room now). But I'm not really one to be too picky or complain. My mom is! She was super upset last time she came because the girl doing her eyebrows was on her phone the whole time, practically yelling in her ear. She felt spit hitting her face as she threaded. Then I decided to give it a try when I moved to Oxnard since my mom can be too picky. Welp! Same exact thing. The girl said maybe two things to me then yelled in my ear as she spoke to someone on her Bluetooth earpiece. That is SO unprofessional. No where in the world can you go to a business to be ignored while they talk on the phone AND expect you to tip them. No pleasantries, no conversation, nothing. If you went to a restaurant and the server was on their phone asking you to just point and expect a tip at the end, you'd be pretty upset. I'm here one more time today and hoping to give them one last chance. But I've been waiting about 15 minutes and no one is here. There was a girl behind the front counter doing paperwork or something this whole time. There are three of us here waiting and no employees in sight (the girl behind the counter disappeared after checking with the girl before me for a color - henna maybe?). I left my review unfinished and I was called back. The woman was decent. Maybe tired? Because I've been in the service industry for so long, I would expect some nicer service but I went back and forth on giving them 2-4 stars. She did my eyebrows, I paid, and left. Nothing to write home about but she got the job done. Maybe she's tired of rude folks expecting everything including eyebrows to be magically placed on their face that haven't been grown. I always go here, and they do a good job, so it makes it hard to write this review. But the last time I went the lady who did my brows had just finished smoking and smelled like that the whole time she was doing my brows. Also, she kept being rude and complaining about my payment method. I usually love this place, I have been going for a year. To be honest this was the first time I was actually turned off. The first time I went here, it wasn't that bad, but it was a very unfriendly environment and I felt very awkward. And for my second and very much last time I went here, it was awful. Not only were my eyebrows not cleaned up (I had to tweeze them when I got home) the service was so rude! I was constantly pushed on my nose and cheeks, her hand slipped many times and poked me in the eye, when I was asked to stretch my eye for her she moved my hand with force, and worst of all, (their fan was on and some of my hair was moving on my face) instead of moving the hair out of my face, SHE PULLED IT OUT OF MY SCALP. Good work , Never had a issue until I go in a say ago.I sign in, sit down and one of the employees motions for me to come over and sit.I do. She looks at me ad very loudly tells me my eyebrows are uneven.It was not what she said, but it was how she said it.Other customers were there and looked at me when she said this. Evaluating them themselves.How embarrassing !When I told her she made me feel uncomfortable she did not care.No empathy at all.I told her that I have never been asked that.They are the only ones to touch them for the last 10 months !So if they are uneven, I should have been told this before.I work in customer service and she should be a little more kinder.Who wants to feel put down? I have been here two times before and was not impressed. The employees are rude, they lack customer service, no one acknowledges you At all, there is a sign in sheet somewhere on the counter but it's not really visible. Every time I've been here the same lady has been there and there is always a different person working with her. You either get the "new" one and she is just so slow or you get the "experienced" one and she is just in a rush to get it done. the thread breaks a lot which seems unusual. There is used threat all over the place (unsanitary as it goes in their mouth for threading). Why did I return you ask? Well, I'm a sucker for deals. they had a Groupon so I was like what the heck it'll save me money, it was a limit of two Groupons $7 each not a bad deal I though. I went with a friend and was told I could only use one at a time fair enough. Used one Groupon and paid full price for the other one ($10). They're not good at shaping, My friend was given a clean up as She specified she did not want them thin. My brows ended up thinner than i wanted and not the same shape (see picture- I was smiling for he photo but i was not happy). Now I have waited for my brows to grow back so I can get them thicker and in shape. So I still had another Groupon left so I went back to use it but there was no way I was letting them touch my brows so I took brother to get his done. They didn't leave his brows thin which was good but all they did was clean it up, his brows did not get shaped and it seemed as if the girl just chose to take some hairs off (but it is better than ending up with no brow). When I presented the Groupon the new employee who helped us had to call the other lady to redeem it. The lady appeared annoyed at the fact that we had a Groupon, she was pretty rude. She made comments suggesting i was trying to use the same Groupon again etc. i explained that it is unethical to try to do that I would never try. She ended up redeeming it and let me tell you I will never go back. So lesson learned I will pay the full price and go to a place where they know how to thread and have good customer service. I love going to Liza threading been going there for over a year now and very happy with the service i always receive. I only go to Bisnu, she is so friendly and professional. I not only go but both of my daughters go there aswell.  I have never received bad service always prompt service in both places. I highly recommend Bisnu she is the best !!! Well first off, every time I have gone here they usually mess up my eyebrows and make both of them completely different shapes and sizes. Would NEVER let any of them touch my eyebrows. And second I came here today for an emergency and I only wanted my lip threaded I got to the door right at 7:53pm. And the girl at the front desk is just looking at me like I'm dumb and I asked if they're closed and she nodded. DONT ADVERTISE THAT YOU ARE OPEN UNTIL 8pm IF YOURE NOT ACTUALLY OPEN UNTIL THAT TIME. Horrible....She messed up my original eyeshape when I asked for a clean I would recommend some where else unless you want to have a weird eyebrow shape. Defenitly wouldn't recommend for relatives or friends .... the lady also questioned me why my eyebrow shape was a certain way :( Read Less

Have been here a few times. My brows always look great. I prefer waxing for the lip, though. I recently purchased a Groupon. It only saves you a dollar and they won't punch your card if you use the Groupon so in all reality you get a free threading when you get 7 punches which works out to be the same as buying a Groupon.
