Many years ago I had a tattoo oh my left foot. It was dedicated to my mom as my very first tattoo. It wasn't what I wanted but at the time it was something that might want my mom to see when she was sick. Amazing staff and place!I walked in with my husband to get his first tattoo, after hearing about King Cobra Tattoo form other friends and read the reviews on yelp. Carl greeted us with a big smile and explain us everything we wanted to hear! He gave us his business card with his phone number. He also tell about himself a little bit and said "I'm very gentle". My husband send him a picture of what he wanted to tattoo. Carl replied and said it will be ready tomorrow. My husband made his appointment with Carl. Carl is very professional, with over a 9 years of experience. He didn't rush things. He explains everything into details. He definitely make my husband calm and comfortable. Especially because it was his first tattoo and he didn't know what to expect. My husband said it didn't hurt as much as he expected to be. It was not bad experience at all. I've been trying to get a tattoo here since April this year. I drive in from Pittsburg after talking to people on the phone, tell them what I want, leave my info and nothing. Did this three times. Contacted them multiple times on Facebook too. Great looking art, just didn't want to tattoo me. I am a salty SOB, military left me that way but I thought I was being polite enough. Was given Nics info after my original tattoo artist got sick. The day before I go in, I text him and ask him to design a batman tattoo for me. I like to give artists some freedom to play to their strengths. I was absolutely blown away by his work, he did a great job, and it's one of my favorite pieces. With a great recommendation, 5-star ratings in Yelp, and word of mouth, I took a mini road trip to get another set of tattoos at King Cobra this weekend. I ended up with an Aries astrological constellation sign and a lotus flower. I called ahead of time to make sure someone would be able to ink me and they assured me I could just walk in and be taken care of (which I was). I only had to wait about 15-20 minutes after filling out the necessary paperwork to begin my tattoos. Overall, I had a positive experience. A little different standards compared to other tattoo shops I have been to in the past, but nothing super alarming. Happy with how my tattoos turned out, and the prices were not too bad either. Not super happy with my tattoo artist; he wasn't much for small talk or formalities but he was talented and I appreciated the attention to detail. Came in to ask about getting more ink early in the day. All my questions were answered professionally. Agreed to a specific time with Shelby and told him I'd see him later that day.  Once back I felt comfortable with him and getting what I wanted and where and him using the specific colors that I wanted. Very likable guy. I love my new shark tat. I will definitely go back to him. Clean lines and with 17 years experience, he knows what he is doing with shading and coloring giving me that realistic effect I desired.Clean and sanitary shop. Its a small quaint shop, as that's all it needs to be. Your there to get a tattoo riiiiight, not to loiter around and go back n fourth on weather you want ink or not! I had my first tattoo here. I have always wanted one so I took the plunge. The place is clean. Very edgy decor which I loved and good atmosphere. It is a small shop so when I was getting my tattoo with my huge anxiety I felt boxed in but that was about me. Although it hurt like hell, the staff was great to work with. Came in to get a 2year old tattoo fixed by Nic. Was not an easy tattoo to fix. Really cool guy to get tatted by and easy to talk to. I chose him because his artwork was similar to the style of work I originally wanted to get tattooed on my chest. Definitely going to get my full chest piece finished by him and possibly many other tattoos down the line. I got tattooed by the tall, thin guy with long hair & his station is literally right in front of the door. can't remember his name, sadly (I'm really bad with names) but it wasn't Cory or Nic like I read in the reviews. I went in like 5 months ago (I've been holding off this review for god knows why) to get a tattoo of the moon phases & this idiot butchered it. I should've stopped at the circles & had someone finish the rest 'cause it went south once he got to the detail. everyone in the shop had gone by this time & somehow we got on to the topic of meat (cause he was talking shit about someone as he was basically the whole time) then saying dumb shit to me cause I don't eat meat LOL. I swear after that he just ruined me 'cause I was checking on the tattoo every so often & it looked fairly good until then. once he was done he told me how it's gonna look funny 'cause of the grey wash & it'll go away after a few days but nope man, check this shit out. the white fell out (why would you even use white? Idk) & the whole piece is just shit & I have to find a real artist to help me fix my skin lol. he had me thinking he would have me leaving happy because I told him about my last bad encounter with a tattooist (I just have really bad experiences with tattooists, I suppose). Ok, so my husband and I want to get matching tattoos before he leaves for a 2 month military training. I no longer have a "tattoo guy" so I jump on Yelp. I call King Cobra Tattoo last night and explain the situation, the time crunch we are in, and leave my number. Shelby calls back about 3 min later and says he will fit us in tomorrow, just come in and he will make it work, and BOY DID HE!! We came in and it was a little more than he anticipated, but today is the only day we have, so he asks his appt to come a little later and we get to work. Shelby is more than professional, he is phenomenal. He was courteous, friendly, and just carries an overall great vibe. Oh, and I am sure you want to hear about our tattoos, this is my 17th  (or so) tattoo, and is by far one of my best, in regards to experience and the skill and efficiency of the artist. I will be back for sure, and I strongly recommend King Cobra Tattoo as the place to go if you want amazing work.
