My mother recently passed away and I wanted to honor her with some new ink and I had did the same for my grandmother before her 2 years ago. Na took care of me previously but I learned he was no longer at the shop. I called and spoke to Marc and he asked me to email my idea over and I did and he was very helpful in scheduling me right away for next day service. This was important for my grieving process to get in and get it done fast. He took my design idea and turned it into a beautiful work of art perfect to honor my mom and her lost of a battle to 3 cancer types. He made sure to check with me and make sure I was happy every step of the way. He is very personable and like a big bowl of chicken soup for the soul! Doing this review a bit late, but I just wanted to express how great this spot is. I've been to a few other spots, but nowhere has really made me feel more comfortable than here. When you walk in the first thing you'll notice is a warm smile from whoever is at the front counter. Next, you'll notice how neat and sanitary the shop is. I literally watched the owner bend a knee, and clean up a little spot on the hardwood floor that I didn't even notice. That subtle sign was enough for me to know that this is a guy who takes pride in not just his tattoos but his shop as a whole. I've been around enough to meet most of the other workers, and their character is stellar. Another thing I noticed is that all of the workers are very kind, approachable, talented, professional, and absolutely hilarious. As for the owner himself, he can only be described as "one of a kind". He is someone with great stories, a great personality, and puts a lot of dedication and love into his work. As for my piece, I couldn't be any happier with it. It's something that I am going to cherish for a life time. Overall, Ancient Ink will make you feel like less of a customer, and more like a part of their family. I actually haven't been here in a while, but they did do my first three tattoos. Mark did my very first tattoo as Soon as I turned 18. I was so stoked about it. Nothing fancy just the avenged sevenfold logo with the words "seize the day" underneath. It meant something to me and he gave me a decent price, I believe it was $120. Went back and got the stars on my chest, and a Japanese symbol. I also got my nose pierced there as well. I don't remember who did it, but he was super awesome and joked the entire time. Nah is such an amazing artist! He has a clear excitement for what he does and his work is so detailed that you cannot help but love it! A really great experience. I had been wanting to get another tattoo for a while now, and on a whim, I stopped in at Ancient Ink. After talking to Na, I knew we could get something done. He had a canceled appointment, so he took me right away. The shop was real nice. Very inviting, relaxing environment. Also, very clean. Even walking in the doors, I knew I had chosen a good shop.Na, was very laid back, and we chatted about life, video games and our kids. Real nice guy. He was real quick and very professional the entire experience. Little to no pain. When I go back, I am definitely having him do my work. The tattoo itself looks awesome. I couldn't ask for more. So, I have been thinking about getting a tasteful tattoo for several years, and finally today, I psyched myself up enough to do so...at the age of 50! My daughter has had tattoos done at Ancient Ink, so I decided to go there as well. The first thing I can say is that this Is a very clean establishment (it smelled nice too). I was greeted by a very nice young man. He introduced me to the artist who would put my vision on my arm. His name was Na. I have no experience with tattoos or the people who draw them, but I can tell you that Na was very nice, and extremely knowledgable! And can I talk about talent??? He did an amazing job on my tattoo. My first tattoo from Marc was a bicep wrap that he designed. Later I had a cross put on my right inside forearm. Then I got extremely sick and had to wait a year and a half to continue. I am now in the middle of completing the right forearm with a phoenix design by Marc. Already it looks amazing and I've gotten several compliments. I am on my third tattoo with this shop and I am going to keep coming back.  My current tattoo that is getting worked on is being done by Marc, and what can be said about him that hasn't already been said.  He is funny, he keeps your mind of the pain, he checks and double checks to make sure you are getting what you want.  I personally have sensitive skin, so I can't get a tattoo all at once or I will scar, Marc is the first person who has caught this and after he finishes my tattoo he offered to fix my others, for money of course, but not a whole lot.  He does talk, but if he runs behind because he's answering questions or  uses the restroom he doesn't charge you for it. I see only a few complaints on here about this shop, but I can't see how the shop would be responsible for any of it. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and the work is really great! Read Less

I got my nose pierced here a couple years ago, so I figured it would be the perfect place to go to get my first tattoo!Na did an amazing job, the tattoo turned out exactly how I wanted it. So I'm new to the area, and I was having trouble finding someone to finish my sleeve. I read the reviews about these guys and decided to make an appointment with Marc. I am thoroughly ecstatic about how well he did. I sat for a good 5 1/2 hours and his price was very decent. He even came in early for me, since I work nights. He was really persistent on some shading and colors, so I decided to let him do what he wanted and it turned out pretty amazing. So glad I listened to him and let him roll with my tat. I went there for my first tattoo, I was super scared i walked about because i didn't think i could go through with it but the staff cam out and talked to me because they knew how important the tattoo was to me. Okay for piercing. They are clean and sterile but rude. Tattoos on the other hand, they messed up the wording on mine.. Overall liked the tattoo artist it was so clean and neat, but the receptionist Buddy, is just plain rude 98% of the time.He made the mistake in the typing and they blamed on me... -______-  So now ONE OF THE WORDS ON MY TATTOO IS MISSPELLED. Super.  It will be there from now into eternity for all to revel in ugly, black ink. The owner, when I went back in the next day, asked me why I didn't catch it. Uh HELLO the tattoo is on my back and YOU were tattooing ME. How did YOU not catch it. if that wasn't enough, they put up a sign saying to check the spelling on all tattoos before they tattoo you because "we all went to grade school." i called here yesterday to get pricing on a septum piercing & the guy who answered the phone was super nice which is very surprising coming from a tattoo/piercing shop.  the price was great & i live right down the street so i went after work.  the piercer, justin was very friendly & talkative which made me more comfortable since i was nervous.  the process was pretty fast & he explained what he was doing/what was going to happen so i knew.  i was in & out in about 20 mins.  i would definitely recommend coming here because justin is a great guy who is really nice & genuinely seems to care about how you heal.  good prices & friendly service.  would definitely come here again if i'm seeking any more piercings but it won't be for a while cus my boss said i had to slow it down :(also i'm very loyal to my tattoo artist but 5 members of my family have gotten tattoos from this place by marc & they all turned out great & at a really good price too.
