I made an appointment on my birthday but they showed up more than 30 minutes after the set time.  This should have been the first red flag but I finally wanted to get it done after thinking about it for years.  The tattoo I wanted was a simple symbol just in black.  As Leo started working on my tattoo I tried making conversation but every time he was abrupt and kind of killed the conversation.  I had a feeling that I was unwelcome there and with it being my first tattoo I was not put at ease.  The end result did not have straight edges, sharp corners, and after healing it was not a dark black.I am probably going to get it touched up at another shop soon.Edit: What integrity to have to try and discredit and disregard something negative you have to say about your shop and employee.  I have been here I was actually recommended by a friend which is specifically why I went here. I stopped by the shop a few days ago to consult with Leo and his welcoming attitude made a huge impact. I emailed some ideas and he replied in a timely manner and today I happy had the chance to get a tattoo done by him. He is such a cool guy to talk to while he's doing his thing. He was always mellow and composed which, although this is not my first tattoo, made me feel very reassured. He has a gentle touch with the needle which made the experience as painful (it's a tattoo, duh) as it's expected and not even a bit more than that. I had a not great time here when I went in a while back and I'm still thinking about it...I came in for a pretty simple tattoo (a semicolon) and ended up with an uneven piece plus a little skitter mark where the artist's needle permanently inked... Well, a small but permanent random mark. Whenever I mentioned the unevenness of the two parts and asked for a correction in the studio that day, I was told it would "never be perfect" which I definitely know and embrace... This was just a random mark, though. Since posting this, they sent me a direct yelp message asking me to remove this review and said they would then fix it. (I no longer live there, I wouldn't want to repeat the experience I had here, and this just doesn't seem like a fixable thing... But it seems worth mentioning. Especially as it looks like lots of folks not leaving five stars have receieve direct messages asking them to take their reviews down. I walked in with a drawing and Leo took a break from helping a customer to discuss the concept, size and placement with me. He quoted a price and I left a deposit.  We scheduled a two hour block the next week and he then accommodated me when I needed to make a last minute change.  The piece required delicate very small lettering in some very odd fonts, which combined to make a larger image of a bicycle.  I had been debating with myself for years whether this would work, but Leo made it work beautifully. Messaged Leo through Yelp regarding an appointment. He responded quickly and allowed me to roll in at noon when the shop opened. When I arrived, he greeted me and asked what I was thinking about getting. The idea was pretty basic but he had some solid input to tailor my tattoo to exactly how I wanted it. The experience was painful, but given the area, I got through it - and Leo checked in on me as well. Really great guy with a nice and clean shop. Access to the shop was easy as well. After he was done (process was about an hour) we took a look and we were both satisfied with the outcome. He gave me some advice on how to maintain the tattoo and I was on my way. When my dad died 2.5 years ago I immediately decided I wanted a tattoo to commemorate our close relationship, and as a visual reminder that he's always with me. One star too many for this place. Would give a negative star if I could. Recently got a tattoo at this place from Leo. NEVER coming again!! I wanted a simple basic geometric design. I showed him the image I wanted. It is nowhere near what the tattoo was supposed to look like. The triangles are not aligned, there are "triangles" that literally look like blobs of ink, and the borderline is not even straight. I went in today to try and see if I could get a refund and he wouldn't even let me speak to him. He got upset when I began to explain why I was there and told me to leave the shop without listening to me and threatened to call the cops. I asked to speak to the manager or the owner of the shop and he began yelling saying he was the owner. He wouldn't let me see his license and became very dismissive and defensive. POOR customer service. Will NEVER come again. Honestly, the pictures speak for themselves. Now I have to get it fixed and spend more money. He should NOT be tattooing. Cannot do simple shapes and design. You will be greatly disappointed. Will be following up with the better business bureau. Do not believe good reviews, ask to see pictures beforehand. Leo is the best! Not only is he a gifted artist, he will work with you personally to get the best possible results. He has a special intuition about what art matches your inner spirit. He's a master of every genre. He gave me a beautiful geisha on my leg, which has gotten tons of compliments. Also some flirty butterflies and colorful flowers. I came to Leo in the beginning of February for a tattoo on my left shoulder and I was very happy with it but when I came back two weeks later, I told him I wanted an eagle across my ribcage and it is the worst example of a tattoo I have ever had. I've seen many people get tattoos and have received three. I received them from Leo. This place is gold! The artists are skilled and patient which is sometimes hard to find. I personally really appreciate someone who can vibe with their client (some clients like to talk, some people don't, some just need encouragement) and these guys definitely know how to make the experience the best possible for you.     Just do them (and all tattoo artists) a favor, be blunt and use clarification about what you want. I wanted a tattoo for awhile now, but I could never get myself to commit to what to get or where to get it. After finally making the decision to put "Keep Moving Forward" on my upper arm, I visited Revolution Tattoo. Leo was very patient with me. He answered all of my questions and even redrew three different sketches until we achieved the perfect size. As for the pain, it wasn't bad at all. I don't know if its because Leo knows what he's doing or if the arm is just a good area, but when people tell you it hurts like a  b*tch, take it with a grain of salt. The only other thing I want to mention was partly my fault. He went over the aftercare instructions pretty quickly and then handed me the pre-printed instructions. I should have read it over and asked for clarification on some of the instructions. All in all, my first tattoo was a great experience and I owe it all to Leo. Read Less

They are very good at cheating people off their money. They are not ready to provide an amount even after completing the initial sketch. Despite giving them a budget, they exceeded it by close to 100$ and later mentioned that the amount is over and above the holding deposit that was placed. On probing them further - they started getting rude and went to the extent of saying we shouldn't be dictating how they run their business. A guy named Leo was absolutely rude and cheated us despite us being transparent about a budget !Beware of these guys - there are much better places around ! Read Less

I'd been wanting a full sleeve for as long as I can remember but didn't have time or creativity (or money, really) to do it. I decided to have a vine and flower piece done that goes from collar bone to elbow, and eventually to wrist. I searched so many tattoo shops and asked around my friends, but decided on Revolution Ink as the reviews were good and it was local.I walked in on Monday and talked about what I wanted and showed some pictures. I left with an appointment set for Tuesday (today) along with leaving a hefty deposit for the work. Leo was amazing. He was attentive to what I wanted, friendly and professional. The shop was spotless. He spent a long time drawing on my arm to get the design right.After two and a half hours I walked out with an amazing tattoo on my arm. I was really hoping I could stay long enough to have him finish, which he was totally willing to do, but my arm needed a break, and my family needed to be fed. I am going back in two weeks to get the piece finished.  I can't even begin to say how awesome Leo was. I will never go anywhere else for my tattoos. I wanted to get a white ink tattoo done. I called a few shops and Leo was the only one who sounded enthusiastic to do one, so I came here. I got a chinese dragon on my wrist and I'm in love with it! He made it as painless as possible by laying me down and if there was a mobile above me, I would've fallen asleep. That's how relaxing it was. I recently got my first tattoo here. This review is for Leo. My tattoo is an almost 4-inch-long script with tiny embellishments around. It goes up on my side/inner forearm; it is sort of hidden. (Placement wise, it is similar to the singer Pink's left forearm tattoo that reads "Sir Corky Moore 89-03" but mine is on inner side forearm instead.)I am a very detail oriented person, and I did a lot of research to find a tattoo parlor that I like. I was debating between Revolution Ink and one other place, but ultimately decided on coming here because the script and line work of Leo was very good and precise. Leo indeed did an amazing job. The tattoo is excellent and healed perfectly. The script is sharp. The tiny embellishments around the text (flowers, bees, abstract lines/shapes) look great. Honestly, I wasn't expecting that much of detail in tattoo work that size. My tattoo looks pretty much exactly like the design I brought in on a piece of paper. So, I am very happy!I am very pleased by the whole process as well. Leo is a gentle soul. He patiently listened to me while I went over both of the design options (I had two different designs; same script, different typography) and explained him thoroughly how I imagined them. While keeping my expectations in mind, he made some technical suggestions as well as contributed to the designs with his artistic style, which I appreciated. He is very meticulous about this work. I also found out that he is in his early 30s and father of a 3-year-old. Aww :) The end result: I am so in love with my tattoo, and I'd recommend Leo wholeheartedly. P.S.
