A coworker of mine suggested checking this place out, and I am glad I did.  Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming.   I had Jacob do some work for my son and myself.  Everything turned out beautiful!  I am already planning out more work to be done.  I live that there are no huge egos in the shop.  I asked Jacob about a portrait, and he pointed me to Vince,  because he's the master at it.  The guys there want you to have the best work possible, even if it's not them to do it.  Love, love, love this place! The Painted Ape is so warm and welcoming the moment you step through the door. I asked if they were new, got a tour of the whole shop! I've never had an experience like this in any tattoo parlor I've been in. Tattoo shops are usually filled with an arrogant male agenda. Vinny really takes his time, and doesn't make you feel bad when you want to change up the rough draft. The attention to detail is insane... I've been getting tattoo's by Vince Cabrera going on 8yrs now. I had two large tribal pieces on my forearms done by 2 seperate artists before I met Vince. I wasn't very comfortable with those artists. Big egos and arrogance about their work turned me off. But Vinny is very friendly, conversational, intelligent, and Extremely talented! He's tattooed some extensive work on me over the years. Two sleeves with exact replicas of paintings that are flawless and detailed. A full back piece that is intense. Vince recently completed a  portrait of Clint Eastwood and a tribute portrait of Robin Williams on my legs. I highly recommend Vince,Jacob,and Jess for  your next tattoo and art interests. Read Less
