So, I came here to get my septum pierced. This was the first time getting that part of my body pierced. Anyways. I felt confident going in by seeing the nice environment. It's a nice clean shop. However. When the guy was done. My piercing looked off. I didn't pay to much attention as I thought maybe this is what it's supposed to look like. What do I know. When I went to my car. I did notice it looked crooked so I went back to ask the guy. He said something about the fact the it could be because of nostrils not being identical. But as k kept examining it throughout the day I was just not feeling like it was right. So I went to the tattoo shop on main that I usually go to. This time I didn't because the piercer doesn't work on Thursday so that's why I came here. So I went to get a second opinion. Turns out the guy didn't even pierce my septum. He pierced the cartalage close to the tip of my nose. So I had my guy take it out so he can re do it later on. I did apriciate that the guy offered to repierce it for free after messing it up but I'd rather not go back. Anyways. I'm not posting this to bash the place. They do have good service. But if I were you. I'd go somewhere else for a piercing.thats 40 bucks I lost. And another 40 I'll have to spend to get it redone. Thanks. Read Less

Found this place because of a friend and ended up getting a tattoo from Daniel. He was not only very nice but extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and he gave suggestions but was never pushy. During the tattoo he made sure I was comfortable. Got two pieces done by Ricky G- he was quick, clean, and has a soft touch. Areas that are generally a pain were barely noticed. Most importantly? The artwork kicks ass. Stoked.The location itself looks a little shady outside, but is vastly improved from even six months ago and continues to get better.Inside, it's very clean, spacious, and each room is very hygenic and well cared for. My sister got both a tattoo and a piercing at Restless Valley. The tattoo artist (Ricky) messed up her tattoo, and it's now any grammarian's nightmare. She wanted it to say "You've got to fall before you fly." Before they inked her up, she asked if she could have it changed to "you have to fall before you fly." The artist wound up etching "You've have to fall before you fly" into her skin forever. The spacing between the words was terrible, and the font used was clearly something he randomly found on the internet. She's vision impaired, and wasn't able to see the issues that HE should have checked for before tattooing. Always check your grammar! She then made the mistake of going back, and got an eyebrow piercing from JD. He pierced her with a bellybutton barbell instead of an eyebrow barbell, instead of just telling her that he didn't have one for an eyebrow. It protruded in a very unattractive way, and was too big a gauge for the eyebrow. It rejected, migrated, and fell out. Neither JD nor Ricky have given her a refund. I'm reading tons of great reviews for these guys, so did they just both happen to show up to work drunk? Ricky didn't offer a refund because "she walked out of the store after looking at it so no refunds." JD didn't offer one because he said that things reject all the time and the size is fine. These are both examples of lies and terrible customer service. They owe my sister money. Read Less

This is by far one of the best tattoo parlors I have been to.  The artist Matthew did an amazing job on my wrist and I have followed him ever since.  The feel and flow of this shop is definitely homely and centered around their costumers.  At first I do admit I was hesitant to go to a shop in Merced but this is by far the best one in the next 100 miles.  If you're going in for anything, definitely ask for Matt!
