Fantastic artwork and artists. Well priced, and easy to consult with. Not a pick and stick place (no huge catalogs of terrible and meaningless tattoos you see everywhere). One shop told me it would cost double what i ended up paying at San Pedro Tattoo, and the other shop acted like they didnt really want to do it. Josh has performed extensive work on my sleeve over the course of the past few years. Working with him has always been a positive, endearing, and constructive experience. Josh's versatility as an artist is emboldened by his own inclinations to leave a personal creative imprint on the pieces he creates. I strongly recommend inquiring about his original work, or allowing him to create something for you rather than work directly from a reference (although he does this just as well). I absolutely looveeee San Pedro Tattoos! David does his thing, very detailed and takes his time. He did my sleeve on my whole right side and I'm so in love it still looks brand new! I've never had any work done by the others but their work is good too! Joshua has worked almost exclusively on my heavy metal sleeve and I could not be happier with the results. The linework, shading, and texturing is perfect and he has been flexible yet independently creative throughout the entire process. He has worked towards a vision for my sleeve that can only be brought forth when a client and artist collaborate rather than clash. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My first time coming here I was highly recommend to see Joshua. I had emailed him prior to my appointment. He was 100% professional and made me feel comfortable because the tattoo I was getting was by far the biggest piece I have. It was two sitting long but I feel as if it is the best tattoo I have. He has such a light hand, and even while he is tattooing you can tell he is so focused. I have and I will definitely come back and book an appointment with Joshua! Read Less

I shall LOL to start the review because I have a feeling Tamra went to the same place my friends and I went and received the same treatment.But yes this is the place where my friend finally settled on getting his first tattoo. And what can I say the guy here was very friendly and he's price  was very reasonable.So what if the walls in this place are covered with mostly Chicano iconography and cholo art? So what if they probably tatted all the cholos in San Pedro? It doesn't matter as long as the artists gets your idea and inks you up!This visit led to a future visit from a different friend and he's tattoo came out just as he envisioned it. Will definitely keep this place in mind when suggesting tattoo shops to other people. Only downside? It's cash only people so hit up the ATM first :) Read Less

I didn't realize that getting my first tatt would be such an ordeal. Who knew you have to make appointments and look at portfolios in order to choose your artist?? My friend and I originally went to another local popular spot (who shall remain nameless), but they weren't very helpful, were completely booked (although the shop appeared empty) and they seemed to have cared less about my money (which is still green last I checked and spends like everyone Else's). So she suggested San Pedro Tattoo. She knew where it was and even though I had never heard of it, I was insistent on getting my tatt done ON THE SPOT in time for my birthday (which is tomorrow btw). Anyhoo...we parked, walked in to a clean (but empty) shop and we were greeted by Albert. I had been carrying my design around for the past two years, so I already knew what I wanted. We walked in at 6:00pm and we were both walking out at 8:50pm both having been inked by Albert. He NAILED my design! I won't lie, it hurt like hell because it's in the middle of my back - but I couldn't be happier! I also had him add a design element not originally part of my idea, and he NAILED that too!! I honestly don't think I'll be getting another tattoo (because I'm a punk when it comes to pain), but if and when I EVER do, I'll be going back to see Albert. HE'S THE BOMB!! Mine was finished in 45 minutes and so was my friend's tattoo. They both came out GREAT!The shop is clean, the needles are sterile (he showed them to us still in the package before opening them for the first time). We asked tons of questions and he was happy to answer all of them without making us feel stupid for asking! The three guys here are amazing.  I was looking to get some more tattoos at the tattoo expo which is where I met them.  The work in their book was really good, plus I saw them tattooing huge pieces that looked great.  In fact, I found out later that the only reason they really go to the expo is to compete.  Anyways, because they were so busy, I couldn't get my tattoo done at the expo.  However, since they are in San Pedro and I work about 10 minutes from their shop, I decided to go there after work last night and finally got my fourth tattoo.  It looks amazing.   I got my tattoo done by Martin, but all three guys are good.  I don't know all of their names, but the guy that rides a motorcycle is a really good artist (he entered a contest all three days of the expo) and so is the other guy that owns the shop.  He doesn't have a lot of tattoos on his body, but you can see his artwork all over the shop and on the business card.  The detail they do on their tattoos is really the best part.  Anyways, after visiting their shop, I've already picked out my next two tattoos!  I've visited a lot of artists and these guys were by far the best--hence why they were so busy at the expo while a lot of other artists weren't doing anything.  Check them out.
