Even though the parking isn't so big, his shop itself is a very welcoming environment. You walk in and get the feel of some old school throw backs. Juan, is an absolute professional. As a female, not many people would be comfortable exposing some of their body parts to tattoo placement, but he made me feel safe, that I could trust him. I currently have 2 tattoos from him, and they're my only tattoos. One is placed on my right upper thigh near my crotch, and the other is placed on my upper back. If I ever needed to get up to stretch or move positions cause I wasn't comfortable, he did so, just talk to him! He's very friendly! I asked him to do 2 personal pieces, the first one is my original sketch, the second was a collab. He tries to make the sketch, the placement, and the price reasonable. THIS MAN WILL NOT RIP YOU OFF. I met Juan when he still worked at Needle Pushers, and let me just say there's obviously a reason why he's still my go to tattoo artist even going solo. He has already done 4 pieces on me.. And in my honest opinion he is extremely talented. I believe I am his only client he has done tribal on. He was honest about not specializing in tribal but I trusted him to give it a shot.. Luckily found this guy on IG while searching for an artist here in LA. Was following him through Needle Pushers while I decided what, when, and where. I finally decided to email Juan to no avail. Little did I know that he was opening his own shop so I decided to text him and he apologized. As a customer this is great because I also didn't want to be begging someone to do my tattoo and showed that he cared for his potential customer. I appreciated that he took the time to meet up with me for a consultation and set the date even though he was still prepping his shop. Consultation went well. We discussed  the peonies I wanted, style, date and price. He made a couple of suggestions as far as size  and quantity which was great because I was extremely happy with the finished product. Juan also let me know that he only worked by appointment so I would have privacy and no interruptions. Couple of days later there I was and the shop had made a lot of progress and looked great. The entire process was quick and only took about 5-6 hours. Juan gave me the option of doing it in 2 sessions if it was too long for me and kept the option open just in case. I have to say laying there is pretty exhausting and I could only imagine how tired he was. We only took one break which was desperately needed. A variety of topics later my peonies were finished. They looked amazing! He has a really light hand and amazing gradation skills which is why I had him do it. I also appreciated that he checked on me during the session and asked if i needed breaks or if it hurt. Juan made me feel like he cares for his customers and loves what he does. Juan is, in my opinion, the best tattoo artist in the valley. He's also the fastest artist I've seen! I've had a piece done by Juan and it only took 2 hours to complete. I also brought in my father so he can cover up a small ugly tattoo and Juan definitely worked his magic! He took such good care of my dad and turned the "ugly pancake" into a great half-sleeve! He was done in 2.5 hours. He even texted us a week later to check up on my dad's tattoo and asking if he healed up nicely. He genuinely cares for his clients. His shop is very open and super intimate. It's literally just you and him, not a whole crew of people working alongside him like a traditional tattoo shop would. Super chill place, HAS A/C, takes cash and card! Parking is kinda small but luckily the area itself is not super packed so I'm always able to find parking. He makes sure you're comfortable in every way possible. He tattoos because he loves it, so he will always price you honestly and fairly. I never feel taken advantage of with him, unlike some other places I've been to. Juan is definitely the guy to go to if you want an epic piece done nicely AND quickly!
