Amazing Tattoo & Piercing shop! Amazing artists, and a super great atmosphere! If you're having a bad day, this place will cheer ya right up! Also the only shop I will go to, my boyfriend and I drive 4 hours from home to come here.Very very clean, which I am pretty picky about, and their bathroom smells amazing They definitely prove time and time again why they keep getting voted "Best Of". I highly recommend this shop to all of my family and friends and anyone else who is reading this, you won't be disappointed!Here is a photo of my most recent piece by Rhino (The shop owner) that we've been working on. Still have the rest of the sleeve to go.

Okay! I have LOADS to spill about this experience! First of all I called RIGHT when they hit opening time on the minute and they didn't answer (which I expected because it was the MINUTE they opened) then they took the initiative and called me back not even 30 seconds later (which I DID NOT expect) it gave me such a good feeling already to have them actively call their customers back instead of waiting for the customer to call back.Then I asked for a walk in and they totally made time for me! It was so awesome!As I walked in I was greeted by so many people & I couldn't tell who were the artists or the customers because everyone was immediately immersed in conversations with owners, artists, and customers! Laughing, joking, discussing artwork.My artist Amber was quick to ask what I wanted to do today and put together my beautiful little piece so quickly. She gave me OPTIONS on fonts which I wasn't expecting as I told her to do something "simple and feminine". It was awesome! I am prone to ink blowing out in my skin and need a really light hand, the artwork turned out so impressive and so clean and light! Just what I asked for and MORE! The delivery was mind blowing. Her and I talked and laughed and she actually asked to hear the song where my lyric quote was from!! I was so shocked she was invested in what meant so much to me. I have had a hard year and came out on top super happy and strong (which everyone has at times) and this tattoo symbolized letting myself feel that! I cried when she put the stencil on lol! She was so connecting with what was important to me. I've never had that experience with an artist. Seeing the finished product definitely touched my heart and now I have a reminder of how much I've overcome. Thank you so much Amber for making time for a walk in and delivering my new FAVORITE TATTOO, thank you to the owners and staff for being so kind and friendly and professional, and thank you to the customers who were also so fun to talk to and enjoy! Fabulous environment, felt connected, awesome service, and even more amazing artwork! So impressed with the professionalism that was shown! I will see you guys in June!

I will definitely consider them for all my future body modification needs. This place is great if you are looking for cheap work on short notice. Mind you, you get what you pay for. I can't speak for every artist that works there, but the two artists that tattooed my husband and I did not do as good of a job as we both had hoped. Now we are in the process of finding another place that can cover them up, or fix them up a bit. They do have good deals, and I heard on Thursdays they will do tattoos of any size (full sleeve, back piece etc.) for only $100. Again....you get what you pay for.

I come in with an idea and he always surpasses my expectations! This place is clean and everyone is friendly! Anyone who listens to Johnny Cash while working is cool in my book!! Rhino, the Owner whom CANNOT keep an appointment and actually be ready when you arrive. He has cancelled 3 seperate times & each time was a lame excuse. I'm not the most punctual ... but the dude couldn't even pick up the phone to let me know before I took the day off from work and drove out to from Folsom. He did this 3 seperate times & each time my apt was for 12 in the afternoon. Each time I was informed an hour after my apt was supposed to start. So I'm out 500 bucks with a half ass tattoo ..... these people are a rip off and very unprofessional! Don't always rely on your friends or the A list award for "best in Sacramento" this beyond boggling to me! FIND A DIFFERENT TATTOO PARLOR! SINCERELY, the girl with the half-assed tattoo

Body and Soul is the ONLY place I will go to. The shop is clean and the artist are the best! Between Rhino and Rotten I have both arms sleeved and complements nearly everyday. Rhino was also able to work his magic and cover up a botched home tat I got long ago. I couldn't be happier with my ink.I have sent many people there and they are all extremely happy. We even had family drive 3 hours just to get a tat from Body and Soul.If you want good, clean, guaranteed work, Body and Soul is the only shop to use.*I've read some of these other reviews and I'm appalled that someone would throw a medical condition in a review. Or that he doesn't work on weekend's, that is one of the luxuries of being the shop owner. Both Rhino and Rotten have always been very accessible. If you want good work it's worth the wait.*

My friends turned out good, however mine is completely angled wrong and I didn't notice until after my tattoo was finished. while he was doing my tattoo two of his buddies showed up, and I felt like he was really distracted and wasn't paying enough attention to detail. overall I'm completely unsatisfied with my tattoo and wouldn't recommend him.

We decided to come here because they do both piercing and tattoo. When I called, the lady I spoke to gave me a price for the nose pierce and she sounded really friendly. She told me that with piercings, it was a walk in basis and I figured that I'd like to see the business before I decided on the tat. When we arrived, I was kind of surprised that we were the only customers. A young gentleman, was the only person here and we told him that we were here for a piercing. I also told him that I was looking to get a tat if he was available. He told me that they didn't have a catalog or an album of tats and that if I look on their FB page, I could look at the different tats available. While there, I searched for their FB page and to no avail. I asked Jeff, aka Rotten, and he wasn't sure either. I guess it was a subtle way of saying that he wasn't interested in doing my tat. He was a bit occupied with his phone too, texting while he was setting up and doing the piercing. I was a bit worried he might forget a step during the procedure. It may have been a good thing he didn't do my tat because I found someone else, who was willing and able. Everything happens for a reason!

All badass artist here but I go to jeff aka rotten. We are in progress on finishing my entire upper torso. I've had over a 100 hrs done here. They have great prices with no attitude.

I have full sleeves, upper and lower back and my foot done. I've been getting tattooed since I was 16 and I'm now 34. I've been to allot of shops and met allot of artists.........I have had an unfinished (outline) tattoo on my forearm for 5 years of a skeleton Virgin Mary (Santa Muerte). You can imaging how many other consultations I have received in those 5 years to have it finished. I wandered into Body and Soul while walking my dog one afternoon to talk to the guys here and see what they thought and get a quote. Most of the prior quotes were about $40-$60 less than what they charged me here, but because of the great customer service and real interest in my wants and concerns I decided that it was finally time to fininsh her. I was not disappointed. ROTTEN is an amazing artist. He made my most beloved tattoo come alive with color and the most incredible shading I could have ever hoped for. And when I was spent, he agreed that we should do 2 sessions which was so accommodating. Everyone who works in this shop, even the other customers, are very nice and genuinely great people.

The owner Rhino is a great tattoo artist. He is doing a full chest, shoulders and full arm sleeves for me. His daughter Amber, also a great tattoo artist is designing the work and has done a great job. I'm very happy with their work and highly recommend this business for your next tattoo.

I will definitely consider them for all my future body modification needs. This place is great if you are looking for cheap work on short notice. Mind you, you get what you pay for. I can't speak for every artist that works there, but the two artists that tattooed my husband and I did not do as good of a job as we both had hoped. Now we are in the process of finding another place that can cover them up, or fix them up a bit. They do have good deals, and I heard on Thursdays they will do tattoos of any size (full sleeve, back piece etc.) for only $100. Again....you get what you pay for.

I was referred by a couple of friends .... worst idea ever. I paid close to $500.00 my back pice which remains unfinished still due to this UNPROFESSIONAL Shop. Rhino, the Owner whom CANNOT keep an appointment and actually be ready when you arrive. He has cancelled 3 seperate times & each time was a lame excuse. I'm not the most punctual ... but the dude couldn't even pick up the phone to let me know before I took the day off from work and drove out to from Folsom. He did this 3 seperate times & each time my apt was for 12 in the afternoon. Each time I was informed an hour after my apt was supposed to start. So I'm out 500 bucks with a half ass tattoo ..... these people are a rip off and very unprofessional! Don't always rely on your friends or the A list award for "best in Sacramento" this beyond boggling to me! FIND A DIFFERENT TATTOO PARLOR! SINCERELY, the girl with the half-assed tattoo

Body and Soul is the ONLY place I will go to. The shop is clean and the artist are the best! Between Rhino and Rotten I have both arms sleeved and complements nearly everyday. Rhino was also able to work his magic and cover up a botched home tat I got long ago. I couldn't be happier with my ink.I have sent many people there and they are all extremely happy. We even had family drive 3 hours just to get a tat from Body and Soul.If you want good, clean, guaranteed work, Body and Soul is the only shop to use.*I've read some of these other reviews and I'm appalled that someone would throw a medical condition in a review. Or that he doesn't work on weekend's, that is one of the luxuries of being the shop owner. Both Rhino and Rotten have always been very accessible. If you want good work it's worth the wait.*

My friends turned out good, however mine is completely angled wrong and I didn't notice until after my tattoo was finished. while he was doing my tattoo two of his buddies showed up, and I felt like he was really distracted and wasn't paying enough attention to detail. overall I'm completely unsatisfied with my tattoo and wouldn't recommend him.

We decided to come here because they do both piercing and tattoo. When I called, the lady I spoke to gave me a price for the nose pierce and she sounded really friendly. She told me that with piercings, it was a walk in basis and I figured that I'd like to see the business before I decided on the tat. When we arrived, I was kind of surprised that we were the only customers. A young gentleman, was the only person here and we told him that we were here for a piercing. I also told him that I was looking to get a tat if he was available. He told me that they didn't have a catalog or an album of tats and that if I look on their FB page, I could look at the different tats available. While there, I searched for their FB page and to no avail. I asked Jeff, aka Rotten, and he wasn't sure either. I guess it was a subtle way of saying that he wasn't interested in doing my tat. He was a bit occupied with his phone too, texting while he was setting up and doing the piercing. I was a bit worried he might forget a step during the procedure. It may have been a good thing he didn't do my tat because I found someone else, who was willing and able. Everything happens for a reason!

I have full sleeves, upper and lower back and my foot done. I've been getting tattooed since I was 16 and I'm now 34. I've been to allot of shops and met allot of artists.........I have had an unfinished (outline) tattoo on my forearm for 5 years of a skeleton Virgin Mary (Santa Muerte). You can imaging how many other consultations I have received in those 5 years to have it finished. I wandered into Body and Soul while walking my dog one afternoon to talk to the guys here and see what they thought and get a quote. Most of the prior quotes were about $40-$60 less than what they charged me here, but because of the great customer service and real interest in my wants and concerns I decided that it was finally time to fininsh her. I was not disappointed. ROTTEN is an amazing artist. He made my most beloved tattoo come alive with color and the most incredible shading I could have ever hoped for. And when I was spent, he agreed that we should do 2 sessions which was so accommodating. Everyone who works in this shop, even the other customers, are very nice and genuinely great people.
