I was shopping around for places in Long Beach for my step-daughter to get her ear lobes pierced & I guarantee you this was the only one I found with a reasonable price that doesn't try to sell you some overpriced saline solution after to keep your piercings clean. $55 for everything, jewelry included. Other places are around $110 for the same. The guy has been doing it for 39 years too so he knows what he's doing. Also, as long as the parent is present, they don't have age restrictions. I got my nose pierced today, a septum. I was really nervous but Steve is really friendly so he naturally makes you feel at ease. He was very quick at putting the needle through as well as the jewelry. I wanted the piercing to be flipped up and my nose is tiny, so he helped me learn how to do that with the accommodations. He looks like an aged rebel, but he's very kind with a soft demeanor. Steven is the best piercer I've ever come across! This man is a pro that has been at this spot since 1979 so expect nothing less but a great piercing. Went in for my nipple and he gave me the perfect sized gauge and pierced super straight. So straight I was shocked when I saw since he freehandedly drew the lines where he inserted the needle. On top of that, he gave me sea salt for sea salt soaks for aftercare. When has a piercer ever done that? The shop is a little intimidating and may not be the most esthetically appealing, but its definitely a hidden gem. Very exciting time coming here! Steve is a super experienced piercer which made my boyfriend and I extremely comfortable our first time here. Found this shop on yelp & immediately made my way here, arrived after closing time & made a call to the number on the door. Steve answered and drove back to meet us immediately after (mind you it was raining hard) so that was super thoughtful! I got my nipples pierced for the first time & it was a quick/ partially painless experience. Steve measured the gage to my liking & talked us through the whole thing. It's now been a week & they're healed perfectly! Came out so straight & cute. My boyfriend got his nose pierced as well.. Steve was super professional & clean with the procedure + informed us about how to clean them while the piercings healed. Gave us little bags of salt to take home & encouraged us to come back to refill them whenever we ran out. I have had 3 piercings here in total. My first time here I got both my Tragus pierced, I was 15 at the time and my experience was amazing. I am now 22yrs old, and I went back to get the Ashley piercing on my lip. 7yrs later my experience was the same as the first ! I love that he opens everything right in front of you, very clean, not your typical updated tattoo / piercing shop. So keep in mind it's an old school shop, the owner has been there for 20 years PLUS. Got a small piece done there and it's the worst tattoo I've ever gotten by far. it was done by the owner, the crabby old guy that thinks he's good at tattooing but really he needs to retire. He has 0 pictures of his work, doesn't have an istagram or Facebook. I trusted him like an idiot so that's my fault, the lines weren't even close to straight. The tattoo I got was similar to an American flag (the military aviation insignia.) I literally would have been better off going ANYWHERE besides there. Very disappointed. I called Friday and spoke with Steve about getting my nipples pierced and he was super informative and told me to just walk in. I definitely know this place can seem a little sketchy given the fact that it's smack dab in the hood of the city with no pity, but don't judge a book by its cover. I went in today and got them done and he totally put me at ease as far as how they would come out -- I was super paranoid they'd be crooked or he'd pierce through the areola, but by the time he was done mapping my lines with a pen like a surgeon, they came out perfect! He was so quick that I almost didn't even realize he had pierced me until the first one was through. Steve is really personable and I definitely recommend this place. My best friend was so amazed at how well they came out, she's planning on coming here to get hers done in the future, too.He's also really honest. Steve is an amazing guy! He made me feel very comfortable when I was there.  I went to get my nipples pierced and I was very nervous.  He did it very fast and was very professional.  He didn't want to take off the marks of my piercings to stay professional, so it didn't seem as if he was bathing me. It's been about three months since I've had them pierced, I didn't get any type of infection.  Make sure you buy some non iodized sea salt to keep cleaning them thoroughly. This place is pretty small but pretty great. I wanted my nose pierced on a whim and called. The owner was very nice and informed that the price here was 40$ with jewelry included. The owner (forgot his name) was the one who did my piercing. It was so fast and unpainful I wasn't sure if he had even did it yet but he did. And there was no swelling, redness and no infection. And there was barely any bleeding! I didn't even tear up! And I must say it looks great. I would definitely recommend if your looking for an easy fast walk in apt. I called and Steve answered and I asked a few questions about what I wanted and he informed me that he could do it and how much it would be. Me and all of my roommates had a piercing done here! All together, we all got a septum, a tragus, a cartilage piercing, and a nose stud. Even though the shop was small, we were all really really impressed with the professionalism of the piercer. You could tell that he knew exactly what he was doing and that he was just trying to help us get a piercing that would last at a great price.
