Love this tattoo parlor. Ernie has done all my tattoo's, he's a very talented artist there. His work is amazing, very detailed, light hands, n precise. Give him your ideas and he'll bring them to life. I gave him a couple of pictures to go by but he amazed me on his creativity. He gave me exactly what I wanted. Other tattoo artist will try and convince you to do something else if they think your ideas aren't going to workout. Not him! I'm working on my sleeve and he's done all the work. I get compliments on his work all the time. I've even referred people to him because of it. His penmanship is amazing. As an individual, he's polite, caring, responsible, and cares about your needs. My experience here was so amazing. I came here to get my first tattoo done by Primo and his work is so incredible! He was quick and I hardly felt any pain. I get faint around needles and blood but Primo was so nice and understanding when I needed to take a break. He had a great attitude as did everyone else in the shop. You can tell that they really love what they do. My tattoo came out beautifully. It had a lot of personal significance and I'm so glad I trusted Primo with the job. I've been getting work done by Carlos Vargas for over 3 years now, and I'll probably never go to another tattoo artist. Carlos is very open to customers ideas and also gives feed back on their tattoo design because although he's getting paid either way, he wouldn't let you walk out the shop with a fucked up tattoo. Damn am I glad I found this place! Wait, wait, I'm getting ahead of myself! I was in a Cycle Gear store a couple months back and whole standing in line for a purchase, I noticed the dude in front of me had some solid tat work on his legs and arm. After finishing his purchase I pulled the guy aside and inquired about the work. He directed me to Earnie at My Old Tattoo Parlor! I immediately checked out my old friend Yelp and found that the not only was this shop already on Yelp with a high rating, but I drive by this place on Western everyday on the way to work. It's hard to miss the custom chopper or hot rod that's always parked out front.I went in, asked for Earnie and was greeted by a friendly artist who was ecstatic to begin some work on me after I ran my ideas by him.I have since had two sessions with Earnie and can't stress enough how talented this guy is! This my third tattoo shop I've had work done at although they are by far the most inexpensive ($100/hour), their work is just as phenomenal as the much more expensive shops. In addition to Earnie's talent, he's extremely down to earth, the whole shop is friendly and inviting and most importantly they are committed to giving you exactly what YOU want... Great experience. Everyone is warm and friendly and makes you feel welcome. I came in with a botched ink job and Primo turned it into what I originally wanted and more. I have one more session before it's completely finished but it's already looking like the business. He's skilled and patient but most importantly he knows what he's doing.
