My friend and I came to get our ears pierced here. Our piercer Paige was very sweet and very knowledgeable about all types of various piercings. My mom and I decided to be spontaneous and get piercings together. Of course I brought her to Emerald because it is the only place where you can get outstanding customer service and awesome work done! Customer service is everything to me. My mom was really indecisive and being a bit overly dramatic because she was scared. I didn't catch her name but the woman working the front counter was so patience and understanding. She listened to my mother's concerns and reassured her calmly. Kudos to you!Paige was our piercer and she is so awesome! I am familiar with the tattoo/piercing field so my only concern was my mother. She was freaking out but Paige was super understanding. She had an apprentice there as well (I didn't catch her name) but they were both so nice and chill. I got three piercings all at once about a year ago. I got my tragus pierced as well as my third holes pierced. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of my piercer. He was not one of the regular piercers for Emerald, however he did a fantastic job! He was very friendly! The shop was very clean! Called in about a tattoo and I was booked right away as a walk in. I must say casey the tattoo artist brought my vision to life . His creativity and his take on my Buddha is amazing. When he added the colors in I looked at it and I know I was in love. He did a really amazing job and I would recommend to everyone . He's also a funny guy and got the job done really good:). I absolutely love Emerald! I'll start by saying that it is always intimidating (to me) to walk into a tattoo parlor. Upon walking into Emerald, every single person welcomed us. The staff is very friendly and super informative. I went in to get a daith piercing to help with migraines. I was nervous, but I immediately felt safe and confident after talking with the staff. Paige was my piercer and she is the sweetest person! Again, I felt incredibly comfortable with her and completely trusted her. The piercing was quick and painless. I'm considering going back to get my other side done, just because I enjoyed my experience that much! After the piercing, front of the house did a fantastic job teaching me how to treat my new piercing. I left feeling happy, excited, wanting more piercings, but most importantly, headache free. This is the place you need to go! The store is neat, clean, and well lit. Everything is clearly priced and all options are represented right in the front. If that wasn't enough, the staff there are professional and so nice! Dale is amazing! He makes sure that your experience from start to finish is a positive one and will go out of his way to make you feel pampered.Paige is very sweet, she keeps you involved in every step of the process and makes sure you feel comfortable.I spent literally all day looking for a place to get a piercing in the Stockton area. I stopped by at least 6 tattoo parlors that either weren't open during the times listed on yelp, were overpriced, or that I just didn't feel comfortable taking a health risk(lol). Finally, I expanded my search to Lodi and saw this place. 4.5 stars and 180 reviews, and there's a reason. I did extensive research on this establishment and there was no policy stating that making a deposit was un refundable but was solely to secure my spot. I made an appointment and I called back seconds later to cancel because something came up and I couldn't make it, so I just wanted my money back. The manager then came on the phone and made false promises and lied because there was no mention of a no refund policy, basically he told me call back on Monday because he cant make refunds during the weekend. Was looking on Yelp for a piercing spot, between Stockton and Lodi, went based on reviews when looking at emerald tattoo and piercing shop and did it on a whim (lol) spoke with Dale over the phone letting him know that I was on my way.. Paige was the one piercing me overall made me feel at ease cause I had a lot of jitter bugs having to get my nose  pierced and my ears  she was was precise and on point with the location she marked it in  highly recommend this place for any piercing customer service was excellent very easing going. I came here 2 days ago to get my belly button pierced and the lady that pierced it was rude as fuck! The wait was forever as I stood there listening to her go on and on about her expensive pink car  And when she was finally finished talking and took me back, she had an attitude and was very dismissive. She didn't make me feel comfortable at all. In fact, she made me feel like she didn't even want to be piercing me. This was my third time here but after the experience I just had, I think it's time for me to find a new tattoo and piercing shop. That's the last time I will spend my money there. Nicole was my piercer.  She took the time making sure my piercings would be even and let me make sure I was happy with the placement. She was very thorough but quick when it was time to pierce the skin. I got two nose piercings one on each side. This parlor is absolutely fantastic and the best I've ever been in. Everyone is so incredibly friendly and welcoming, and not in a "put on a fake smile" type way. They are very real with you and is what makes everything so sincere.I strongly recommend booking an appointment. Since this is such a great establishment, they are very busy. Luckily, someone no-showed their appointment while we were there, and after giving the person some curtesy time (15 minutes after set appointment) they gave us the slot.While we waited, Christie, Dale, and Paige spoke with us as if we were long-time patrons. Anthony was doing some great art that we got to see.The real star of this review, though, is the artist we were assigned to: Scotty. His work is really amazing. What I like most about him is that he takes the time to get to know you and your vision. He will make suggestions while keeping the integrity of that vision. For example, I drew the design of my own tattoo. (I've included the pictures.) It started off small, with a rope tangled around and a compass in the middle of the wheel. When I asked for his opinion, Scotty suggested making it larger so that the details could be appreciated. I didn't want something as big as what he suggested, so he offered a size that I was more comfortable with and the details could be appreciated still. He also offered to do less details, since too much was taking away the focal point of the anchor, blade, and wheel. I opted to take out the compass and the rope, and agreed that it balanced it all very well. Scotty then took the drawing and was able to center everything. You can see how he adjusted the alignment of the wheel and the blade. I also allowed him to the shading himself, which he did superbly.Please keep in mind, all his suggestions were constructive. He made it quite clear several times that it was still my choice. Scotty's honest, and I felt very comfortable leaving the process in his hands.Everyone there is honest and talented. You can see pictures of tattoos that the artists have done. They are thorough about describing after-care for tattoos and even give a pamphlet. They do have products there that they recommend, but they were more focused on what is best for you than to push their sales.I don't leave reviews like this unless I feel the place really is worth the time. Absolutely simply amazing!! I was super indecisive when I came here with some friend yesterday. I just knew I wanted something to do with Kingdom Hearts! I told them I just wanted a crown and a keyhole then added a keyblade then added the chain with the mickey mouse symbol. Scotty didn't look at me funny or gave me a hard time making all these changes. He worked with me, he was super patient and helpful. He freehand designed my keyblade tattoo and I loved it. Feedback on Emerald Tats, specifically; a Master Artist, Scotty.I've received multiple tats while residing in Lodi over the past 20 years. I've received tats from three of the top volume Tat Shops in my town, and have had work done by ~ self proclaimed, best tattooists' in San Joaquin County, NOT!Although I've been happy with the work done on me, I have never been super jazzed with my tats. Ya know, NOT having that feeling of, 'Damn, that dude nailed it, my tat ROCKS.' So much good I don't even know where to start off..... have driven by quite a few times and the area it's in is quite deceitful. Not in the ghetto...just kind of an awkward placing with nothing much around it, but upon entering and actually talking to Dale (manager) my girlfriend and I were quite impressed and our opinion of the shop was quickly changed. Huge thanks to Elf for booking us up with these somewhat small, but very meaningful tattoos. Not only was the man an awesome artist, but an awesome person as well. This shop is pretty awesome. Its clean and well maintained. They have so many jewelery options out front and so many interesting looking pieces. The people are friendly and informative. I went with a group of people and we all wanted piercings. From the jump was Dale inviting. He gave us all our new customer forms and took our I.D's to start the process. I got my conch pierced by Paige. Everyone else in my group was pierced by her too, she is extremely sweet and attentive. I was freaking out in the chair lol, she calmed me down and even waited for me to calm down. She answered all questions and concerns. The ONLY thing i was sad about was not being able to take photos inside. They dont allow it for privacy of the artist art in the shop and any distractions it may cause the piercers or tattoo-ers.
