Bob and Ben have been doing my family and my tattoos for 8 years. He just worked on starting my sleeve and it looks amazing. I told Bob what I wanted and he custom drew all of it. I'm going back on Wednesday to the the other half of my lower arm. He is light handed and a very skilled artist. Not to mention it wasn't expensive even though it's great work. This isn't some cheap shop that you can pay a couple hundred dollars for a basement sleeve. Yet very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them again and they will always have my business. I've gotten 3 piercings done by Adam and I plan on getting many more. He is very professional and answered all of my questions and walked me through the maintenance process. Was going to have work done for myself and my husband. A large full back piece for my husband and both forearms for myself. We were going to have Ben Coye do the work. He took a deposit and said he would take a couple weeks to work on our designs communicating with us. Sharing the design progress and tweeking it as we go leading up to appointment day. We never heard from Ben. Not one time. We never saw ark work. On appointment day Ben was a no show with out even a phone call that he wouldn't be there. At the shop, my husband told them he'd just take his deposit back and we would call it done. No harm no foul. But the guys there, 3 total, said they couldn't help him and wouldn't give him his deposit. He asked for the shop owners phone number, Mike Pike. They said they didn't know how he could get in touch with Mike. he asked for Mikes phone number and they said they didn't know his phone number. They refused to help. This had to be the biggest waste of time and worst customer service ever. When you're going to get permanent artwork on your body you would expect the artist to talk with you. I texted Ben multiple times and he never once responded. We still haven't been contacted and have not been given our deposit back. I do not recommend this shop. Read Less

After my first couple of tattoo's at another shop in Lancaster, I wanted to find a place where i felt 100% comfortable, since the other place wasn't super professional and I would only go if a friend of theirs came with me. I came across this shop and walked in (about 8-9 years ago) and Matt (or Max? Chris?) was available. I wanted a stencil of a Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern, he made a copy and we got to work. Very fast, good pricing and he even threw in a free Taurus symbol on my ankle since it was sooooo tiny. I came back a few weeks later since the Taurus had partially faded and my artist was no longer there but Dr. Claw offered the free touch-up anyway, although reluctant but thank you for being helpful.I went back for another tattoo to my first place and then returned back to Psycho City, where I walked in and Dr. Claw was able to fit me in to his schedule. He was professional & gave me exactly what I wanted, simple cursive lyrics across my back. I LOVE this place!! I live on base and was here 2 years before i decided to comit to a tattoo shop here in the AV. I did a lot of research and found Ben Coye, who's work I absolutely love. He has done a thigh piece and the inside of my bicep on my arm so far and both pieces are amazing. I couldn't be happier. I've also had the top of my foot done my Jay which is also a badass piece that I love! The shop is clean and has a very friendly environment. These guys are experienced and are super helpful. They will work with you to make sure the piece you get is something you won't regret having on your body for the rest of your life. My friends and I have been getting tattooed by Ben Coye for years. I'm so glad we found him, his work is beautiful, clean, and versatile. He's the only person I've been tattooed by, but I've met other guys in the shop and they all seem really friendly. I started a side piece in August and finally got it finished up last week. It's a memorial for my grandma and Ben couldn't have done a more lovely job. In total, it only took two sessions of 3 hours (I have a pretty small side lol). We chatted the entire 3 hours, he always has great stories to tell me to keep me occupied so I don't get bored or focus on pain during sessions. He's honestly just a stellar artist and person all around. Also, some shops won't even let you have a friend come back with you. Ben always lets my friends come hang out and take pictures and talk with us during the process, which is really cool. And he knows all my friends, so he always asks how they're doing and all that, which is super nice!The rooms are immaculate. I've seen their cleaning process, and they definitely run a tidy shop. They have a good website, so if there's a particular style you're looking for you can see samples of all their artists work. They even have their Instagram profiles posted so you can see recent work and what they're up to day-to-day. Sometimes they even have guest artists come in, so you can always be up to date on those as well!The only complaints I've ever heard about Psycho City is that it's overpriced. And I honestly think that's ridiculous. I've never felt overcharged before. There are so many shops in the AV that produce mediocre work, and they might be cheaper, but you're going to get exactly what you pay for. Quality is worth a little extra cash when you're talking about something that's going to be on your body for your entire life. So many people in the AV will even stoop low enough to get kitchen and garage tattoos to save a few bucks, and in absolutely no way is it worth the crappy, scratched art and risk of infection.All in all, I love Psycho City, and I'll get tattooed by Ben as long as I'm living in California. This shop is the real deal, I would recommend it to anyone looking to get tattooed in the AV. Read Less

Our car broke down in the back parking lot of this joint that smelled like spit if spit had a smell. When we asked if we could use their bathroom till the tow truck arrived, the tall bald guy standing outside said; "No! It's for paying customers only" My friend responded; "Good way to get customers" As my friend was walking away, the tall guy smirks; "Like YOU would get a tattoo!" EXCUSE ME?! The next thing we know a little version of the tall bald guy with the exact same scraggly beard and a 'Little Man With Big Attitude To Compensate" complex storms out, gets into the face of my friend and says; "Why don't you not pop off your mouth!" Like we insulted his Duck Dynasty kin and he wanted to throw down. We went to the restaurant next door and they were happy to accommodate us and were so nice about it, we ended up ordering some garlic bread from the place to take home.Really want to get ink from these a**wipes with anger issues? R u kidding? Mike Pike and his "crew" of artists are among the top worst shops to get tatted at. Their prices are outrageously high, the tattooists hubris is almost to the point of embarrassment and worst of all -- their sense of fair play does not exist. I got a a red star on my arm the guy who did it did not shade it all the way. It needs work. I don't think I will get anothe tattoo from this place again. My arm was red for about a week did not noticed it until the swelling went away. However their piercings are the best. I had my nipples pierce along time ago. It was fast and painless. I've been here once with a friend. He got a small tattoo, I forgot who did it, but they gave him a good price. That artist was pretty rude but aside from that artist in particular, the piercer, his apprentice, and another guy who was drawing flash art was extremely nice and helpful.
