First tattoo with Kenny- I am so happy with his work. He is very accommodating. I was looking for an artist with lots of experience and a strong focus on floral pieces. After looking at several artists on Instagram I noticed Kenny's art. He's an experienced artist who pays a lot of attention to detail. I got tatted by Deanna this past Wednesday, and I must say she ROCKS! Not ONLY did she give me an awesome tattoo, she made me feel very comfortable. I had been looking for a tattoo artist in the high desert for quite some time, since my previous tattooist moved to Vegas. I'm so happy I walked into this shop. Deanna transferred an image I had drawn up previously by my cousin to my thigh and it looks exactly the way it looked on the paper which I'm sure is no easy feat. I have found my tattooist and she's it! If your on the fence about where to get your next tattoo...I sincerely hope you stop in to Golden Rooster Tattoo. Chris Holbert  is a super talented tattoo artist. He did an amazing job on my scar, it's damn near invisible. It was a gnarly scar w scar tissue . It's totally unbelievable how he tattooed over my scar. Ive gone on other consultations and the artist would not tattoo over the scar despite my plastic surgeon saying it's ok the tissue is completely healed. Chris was super knowledgeable about scar tissue and how to tattoo over it. I highly recommend him. Read Less

Great place. Affordable pricing. There's always some sort of deal goin on for even cheaper tattoos. The artwork is super clean. Chris does especially great work with color. Their portraits are vivid and realistic. I rented out Chris and apple for a tattoo/piercing party. Everyone was very pleased with their results. My guests won't stop bugging me to have another. I was shopping around looking for a professional piercer when April at Golden Roosted contacted me. I talked with her beforehand and asked some questions, she was nice and very patient with me. Once I arrived at the shop I was greeted right away and April came over and introduced herself. I've had many piercings done in the past, but it's been a long time and I was nervous and anxious, but she made me feel completely comfortable. She spent a good amount of time sitting down with me and going over all aftercare and tips to keep my piercing healthy and clean. With my previous piercings (9+ years ago) I never really had anyone, at the other shops up here, go over the aftercare and talk with me beforehand like April did, and I really appreciate that. She was very knowledgeable and let me know to call her or go in anytime if I have any questions or need anything. The other people in shop were friendly and welcoming as well, I didn't feel out of place at all.   I hate to have to give my experience two stars!  The process went okay, but my piercing failed. I picked out my jewelry from the two available options. The pain wasn't too bad. Once she put the needle through, she then threaded in the piercing and that's when she had trouble screwing on the top of it. She had to use a couple different tools to get it on. Once she was finished I trusted that it was securely screwed on. I checked it out in the mirror and it was super cute and just what I wanted. I followed the instructions to only clean it with saline solution at morning and at night, and not to play with it. But, three days later it randomly fell out because it wasn't probably screwed on all the way. Turns out it was only screwed on about a third of the way. The nose stud was an internally threaded labret stud and the threads were completely sticking out and not fully screwed into the hollow cylinder. Unfortunately the day it fell out, the shop was closed. I went to two other tattoo parlors up here to see if they could help me, but because it was  pierced with a 16 gauge they said they couldn't because that was too big to be pierced with and all their jewelry is 20 gauge and it would sink in. So needless to say, I only got to have my piercing for three days. Disappointing because it was not an error on my part.  The shop is really nice and the people are friendly and I do appreciate April and her communication, but ultimately the outcome was not good. I come here for all my piercings! I haven't had a tattoo yet but my boyfriend gets his here and there are seriously amazing. April does my piercings, she has given me two nose piercings, three on my ear. They are always perfect and just how I want them. She can do anything from dermals to nipples and the more private areas if that's what you are looking for. I live in LA but I drive all the way there because 1. way better pricing and way better products. 2. they are so nice and so friendly. Sometimes in LA you get real jerks and they hike up the prices just because they can.Chris (the guy with the beard) does my boyfriends tattoos and so far they have been flawless. my man always got compliments on his sleeves but now that Chris is working on his chest piece that's all anyone can talk about, even strangers on the street and in parking lots will just be like "that's a nice tattoo bro" Another plus is that the shop is super clean, the other artists are always nice. It can be a little hard to find your first time but its in the Stater bros. parking lot next to subway!!I only tell my friends to go to April now and I can't wait to get a tattoo there soon! They are worth the trip and if you don't believe go check out some of Chris's work, he's seriously amazing! Read Less

It is in an awesome location because you have a variety of options of places to eat while you wait for your wonderful piece of body art. The piercer is amazing at what she does. This shop has been open for i think 3 months, its clean, its nice, its fun and friendly. Everyone who works there is genuine, no b.s. The artist are both amazing with outstandingly great prices. I recently got my foot done, came out perfect. I plan on hopefully getting another piece by the other artist. I have also been able to get a few piercings, She has the hands of a god, I swear no pain hahaa. The times that they are open are legit, and they're even open on Sundays!
