I moved a little which totally made it hurt more but that was my fault. He was really fast and the entire staff was so supportive. Pete, another employee there graciously held my hand and let me squeeze the bajesus out him. I felt. Little disoriented after my piercing and they made sure I was okay. Repeat customer--liked my first tattoo, so I went back for another. Very disappointed! Took my drawing in. Jeff didn't like it and changed it. I trusted him--big mistake. He said he hoped "it would grow on me." It didn't. I hated it! Couldn't even look at it. Told him I wanted it changed and he didn't like my suggestions, as he had his own. Came in on a Saturday and got my septum done quickly. Clev did an amazing job! At first I was a bit intimidated but once you talk to him he is very nice! Kind of felt bad for him because he was struggling to get his fingers up my nostrils because mine are super tiny. But other than that he did an amazing job with my septum. He even helped flipped it up for me due to work. 6 hours later and I can't even feel my piercing, I totally forgot that it was there. No pain at all. I paid $160 for them to tattoo "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine" on four of my fingers. Less than a month later the words "are" and "my" are totally faded, as if they were never tattooed onto my skin. I walked in with an idea, and several sample photos, and left with a gorgeous tattoo far, far beyond my own creativity. Jeff was more than willing to take up the challenge and was extremely communicative throughout the designing process - always checking with me to get feedback and offer input. Yes, this place is CASH ONLY, but there are several ATMs nearby that Jeff was happy to point out. I walked in for Friday the 13th flash tattoos with my friends. I've never been to this shop but I'm so glad I did!Since they are doing flash tattoos, the line was out the door. It wasn't an issue for us since that's always expected on Friday the 13th. After waiting for a little under an hour, I sat with Damien. He was very professional and took his time with me. To me, taking his time was what REALLY impressed me since many tattoo shops deal with a high volume of customers on a day like this and rush the customers out the door.Overall, the shop is very clean and has great artists! I've been getting tattooed by Jeff for about 20 yrs. now. I have followed him wherever his shop is at. I've read some of the reviews in here, and people talk about the "vibe" of the shop. Personally I don't really care about the "vibe" of the shop, or wether or not my artist chats with me. The only thing I care about is getting the best tattoo possible!!!!!!!! I'm certainly not an artist, that's why I go and have an artist design through his interpretation of what I want. He's the artist not me!!!!! With that said Jeff is TRULY an artist!!!!!!! I would trust him to tattoo me with only a rough sketch. As a matter of fact he has, many times. All of his work top notch, no matter what style you want. After going to the tattoo place I have previously received and finding them to be unresponsive and quite frankly rude I decided to choose one closer to home... Was greeted by Miles who is hilarious and was super excited for my tattoo, unfortunately he said I wasn't his walk in and he'd get an artist for me.... Along came Sean, at first I was weary as Sean didn't seem as enthusiastic as Miles BUT soon I realized that was just Sean. I had a small pic of what I wanted and Sean got to work and OMG!!! Being pierced with a gun will damage the tissue in your ear causing excessive scar tissue and increasing the risk of infection. Gun piercings are often crooked or off center because of their method of creation.2. Guns are NOT sterile and can spread infection of life threatening diseases such as Hepatitis and HIV. Rubbing alcohol does not kill all bacteria, and there is no way to sterilize plastic. The 'professionals' at the mall trained to use the gun aren't trained in either piercing or proper hygiene and often have little or no training on how to use the gun. A professional piercer uses autoclaved sterile, instruments, a disposable needle, in a sterile, scrubbed down environment. Ive been going here for the past 3 years and I've never been let down.Regarding the guy who got turned away for his finger tattoo, it must of been a crazy request because I went here for St Pattys day and got a flash PLUS had Miles do my toes, thats right, MY TOES. He made sure to let me know that he has never done toes before but he was down. I asked if he has done finger tattoos before and he said ," Oh yea." PLEASE READ: I just went in to get a quick finger tat of two crossed black keys. Simple and quick like my other finger tats. A few of the artists were open so everything looked good until I told them what I wanted. They said, "No, we don't want to do that." Seriously?!! I asked "Should I go to a different shop then?" And they said yea! I was totally nice, they just weren't in the mood. Lamest artists I've ever met. Going back to my regular shop in Gardena, Liberty Tattoo - they actually give tattoos there. This is my third tattoo.  I found Third Street Tattoo searching online and browsed the images and determined I wanted Andrea to do mine since I wanted an America Traditional style this time.Since I was on a motorcycle, parking wasn't bad but might have been a little bit of a struggle if I had a car (but where isn't in LA right?).  Went it to meet Andrea and give her some guidance on what I wanted.  I have no artistic ability so I came in with some pictures and a crude stick figure drawing (yes stick figures!).  She was very friendly and we made an appointment to review and possibly put needle to skin.  When I came in the 2nd time, I got the impression she was drawing it up as I came in so I was a little apprehensive that it might be rushed and not what I wanted.  I could be wrong about her drawing it up last minute, but what she produced was just what I wanted!I felt like she was also very friendly during the whole tattoo process and I was very happy with the end result!  The only reason it's not 5 stars is that I feel the ink density could be a little more in some spots but otherwise I love it!I've got 2 more planned at this point and I plan to take them back to Andrea when I have the extra money. I love my new piercing! Nose piercing from Chris was such an easy process. I was in town visiting a friend, and for some reason wanted to get a nose piercing. Yelp did not disappoint! Chris was so nice and patient when I couldn't decide on placement, and he was accommodating when my friend wanted to have a good vantage point of the process. I came in yesterday to get a few piercings by Clev. I wanted the triple forward helix, but after he looked at my ear he realized it would wouldn't really fit because of how small my ear was. So instead of having three he put two and he put the third one somewhere else. I like how he told me first instead of just doing the piercing the way I wanted it. I also got my septum done the same day. He helped me flip the piercing so I can hide it from my work. He is very friendly and is very calm. He took his time with the piercings and made me feel comfortable getting all four. I expected to wake up with my ear and nose hurting because of my past piercings.
