One star for the fact that their minimum is $40 and the fact that they're open late. Most usually close around 7-8 ish (usually for business safety). My boyfriend randomly wanted a few finger tattoos and the only place we found open at this time of night was Peters Skin Art.FYI- prior to walking in, I already checked previous (bad) reviews and we still gave it a shot. Hoping our luck was good.On Monday, November 9th at approximately 8:30PM, my boyfriend and I entered this shop, in hopes that this place could execute a few finger tatts he had in mind-- a silhouette of a pistol and a cross symbol. When you first walk in, the shop is small and simple- mom and pop vibe. Small waiting area with the typical tattoo drawing ideas hanging on their walls, with a few pictures of Peter's own work. When you walk to the back/tattooing area... It starts to look a tad bit sketch... Honestly, I would describe their tattoo area "room" to be a makeshift, super frugal dorm area. The area and set up was a bit sloppy in my opinion. The table is a portable party table. Not your normal tattoo station area or room- if you've been to other tattoo shops then you know exactly how I was kind of expecting it to look.Peter's wife found two photos online of a pistol and a simple cross that my boyfriend liked to get as tattoos. His wife btw was nice and was welcoming. The first tattoo- A silhouette of a pistol, ON his finger.Peter placed the picture and began to tattoo. Half way through a nickel sized picture, while tattooing, the rubber band on his tattoo gun pops off and smacks my boyfriend on his face, barely missing his eye. Peter says, "Oops, sorry." goes to his drawer, grabs another rubber band and wraps his tattoo gun. Didn't ask if he was okay, if he wanted to stop for a second, nothing. I also kid you not when I say Peter stopped a good 10 times to continuously go super dab happy with some petroleum jelly from his condiment bottle... Then continuously use a snot kleenex tissue to wipe off any extra ink or residue- which led to leaving MORE unnecessary residue from the super thin tissue he was using. (which is why majority of shops use paper towel- less fiber residue). Peter says the gun is finished- we look to see and there were a few spots he clearly forgot to fill in, I tell him to fix it. Done. The second and final tattoo- A cross, in between fingers.Peter knocked it out, after we told him the lines had to be thicker. It was fixed and finally done, after his (again) numerous dabs of jelly with his kleenex. The next morning, my boyfriend noticed that BOTH tattoos began to bleed! Knowingly... Of course, in certain areas of the body, over time tattoos will either fade, stretch, or bleed, sometimes all... And also would depend on the person who has the tattoo, aftercare, etc. But way less than 24 hours and they're BOTH bleeding? Maybe it was all the super magic petroleum jelly throughout the tattooing process... Got all into his skin and flesh that it took some ink with it, down with the needle and just bled. How great!I checked the Yelp reviews again, and am reminded by previous customers that they had similar issues with this business!!! I've attached photos of both tattoos from here. This place may be convenient and cheap/good for prices, but inexpensive prices- usually comes with matching quality!!!*PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!!*Take your money, or your 40 and get a shop minimum tattoo elsewhere!!! Now my boyfriend wasted $80, and will have to spend roughly the same amount at another shop to either get it fixed or covered. Ridiculous!!! Read Less
