Came in for the Wednesday deal and I have to say I was so nervous but Gloria (the piercer) made the process quick and easy. She's extremely professional and answered all my questions. I give my experience with Gloria 5 stars!As for the service in general, the only thing I didn't like were the two men who worked at the front. They were too busy scrolling on social media to take care of me when I walked in. There was clearly people sitting and waiting around but they never bothered to get up and check to see if everyone had filled out the paperwork correctly or had been taken care of in general. I have come to this shop a few times over the past couple of months, once to get a few tattoos done & another time when my friend got a piercing.. Every time I leave satisfied & very happy with what I get done, but I'm still confused by a few things.. Why on earth was there multiple ants crawling over things, including myself & my artists WHILE TATTOOING ME? Yuck. It's absolutely foul & I'm not too entirely sure I want to come back or recommend this shop to my friends! Both times I've been there the bathrooms were not clean at all & didnt even have soap in the dispenser? Or paper towels to dry my hands? That's not cool. I'm not a health inspector but an environment that isn't very clean while getting tattoos/piercings doesn't sound too inviting to me.. Ima start this off with *Sundays they don't have a piercer, it's her day off.* I can't tell you how many people came in &/or called to get a piercing yesterday. It's crazy. So y'all know now. Don't come in on Sundays for a piercing. Tattoo's only!Anyway, I came in yesterday to get a portrait done by Daniel! (that I won for the F in his tattoo giveaway on his instagram.) Hella happy & grateful I was chosen! Once he let me know it was me, took me about 2 days to finally figure out what picture was good enough quality. He then hit me 2 days later, asked If I could come in Sunday at 2pm. He booked and that was that. I came in, (and people, bring your ID's. These guys are professionals! They will not tattoo you without an ID. It's common sense.) He greeted me, shook my hand. He looked just as excited as I was to do the tattoo for me. So that was a real good sign!! I filled out all necessary paperwork, he then told me to go in and get comfortable. So I did. He had conversation, I admit I was way too quiet I think. I just didn't wanna distract him and let him work in peace, but next time i'll fasho talk more!I kid you not though, I could literally fall asleep on that table while he was tattooing me. I felt almost nothing (up until he got to my daughters hair, since it was near the elbow kind of, damn it hurt like the bitch!!) but luckily that was the last 20 minutes of our session and definitely worth it!!! He was very gentile with it. He wasn't rushing, but he wasn't going slow either. He took his time. We did take a break or two, it was about a 3.5 almost 4 hour session. So of course we had to stop for a quick minute. I will definitely be back!! I already got an idea of what I want added to finish my half sleeve, then what I want to start my upper half. So let's get ittttt! I would recommend Daniel over and over again! His work is dope! He's nice as f. Makes you feel comfortable throughout the process. I got my ear piercings here back in July. I went on Wednesday and got both ears pierced for $40. It was super cheap for an ear piercing compared to other piercing parlours. However, the price was to good to be true. On the fourth day the right piercing came out so I had to go to a different parlour and buy an earring to replace the one that fell out. I don't think the screw was placed on tightly that's why it fell out. When I put in the new earring my right ear was bleeding not just a little bit like it was dripping with blood. It's been 4 months and my right ear hasn't healed. So I went to a different parlour and the moment I talked to the piercer he told me that my right ear piercing was placed to close to my cartilage and it was inserted at an angle that was different than my left ear that's why my left ear healed differently. He said I could either get it repierced or just wait for it to heal. I decided to just wait it out and hope for the best. I don't think I'll ever get my ears pierced here even though it was cheap. You literally get what you pay for. I wasted so much time and money because of what happened. Last Wednesday my cousin and I went to get our nose pierced and I also got my belly button. We walked in and there was a waiting area with two black leather sofas and two raised tattoo block stations. First thing we did was sign in our names and fill out a piercing/tattoo consent form. We waited for 30ish minutes which was to be expected since Wednesday is their $20 piercing day. And also we came in an hour before close. Our piercer took our consent forms, copied our IDs and off we went into the clear piercing room. She asked me if I wanted to do my belly or nose first and I asked for her opinion. Luckily she chose the most painful one first. First she had me stand up and cleaned the area and marked it. Afterwards she laid me down on the chair and told me to take deep breaths. Due to the fact that it was my first piercing on my body (not including my earlobe one) I was a little nervous. She helped me feel better, calmed me down and also cracked some jokes. Holy shit it hurt though. She had a good laugh with the ugly faces I made though haha. My nose piercing was a breeze-kind of. Still hurt but not as bad as the belly. The whole process took less than 15 minutes and she even gave a little towel for the tears. She recommended washing it with salt water (saline water) twice a day, no alcohol. And to avoid touching it and no high wasted pants. Overall my cousin and I had a great experience. I would come back for more piercings if I build up the courage! Read Less

I went here to get a nose piercing. Worst idea ever. When he was starting he barely cleaned my nose. Then when he actually pierced it, it hurt so bad and it instantly started bleeding. He looked scared and asked my girlfriend to get him napkins which scared me more. Then he said its normal, gave me a napkin and that's it. He didn't even clean it mind you blood is leaking through the napkin on my face. Honestly this place use to be my spot. Until the guy Javi tattooed me I swear I went home crying wanting to just scrape the work he did on me off. I cried the whole day I couldn't believe what horrible of a job he did. By the way I think he's a F*****g asshole!! He knew specially what I was asking for and he gave me what literally looked like a child had done on me. I should have not even paid him. I tried to have it fixed up a little but looked nothing like I wanted!! They definitely need people that are passionate about what they do and are friendly with their customers. To start off, I was excited to get my Tragus piercing done at this location. I had the worst experience ever!!! My cousin and I stopped by on a Sunday to get piercings done, but the guy was not available that day. So they called him in and he came in to pierce my tragus, and pierced my cousins industrial. When it was my turn he didn't have a set up done, nor he had clamps to hold my tragus. A professional would have clamps and a set up done. He didn't! He went in with the needle and couldn't get the needle through the first time. I was in so much pain. Then I suggested him to redo it again. And so he did, but I didn't realize he bended the earring to fit on to my tragus. I'll include pictures of the unprofessional work he did. DON'T GET YOUR PIERCING'S HERE!!!! Pretty cool place. Came in here for a nose piercing on during the wednesday special. All piercings are $20 which is very cool and a deal because most places charge $40 for the same exact thing. As soon as I went in, mind you this is my first time, there was somebody at a computer desk. I had no idea what to do since i've never been in there before so I was just awkwardly waiting for a few minutes. He then saw me and asked why I was here. I told him for a piercing then he just handed me a waiver and told me to place my id on the waiver at the counter and wait. Waiting area is consisted of two black leather couches. Despite the deal going on, my wait wasn't that long. Once the piercing person was done with the person ahead of me, she went up to me and asked where the piercing would be. I told her then we proceeded to the piercing room. The room is made up of clear walls so everyone in the vicinity is able to see you and your reaction to your piercing. That made me a bit uncomfortable. However, the process took no longer than 2 minutes and she catered to my nose bleed after. Although after, she gave me no instructions on how to cater to my new piercing which I thought was odd and left me clueless. So, place is pretty cool but customer service was eh. A quick tip though, if you pay with card they tax you. My $20 piercing came out to $22. I didn't mind but if you dont wanna pay the extra bring cash. Read Less

How this shop gets so many good reviews blows my mind! I'm not going to put the guy who did my tattoo on blast or anything but damn, my tattoo sucks... My tattoo is not lined up straight, it starts perfectly in the middle of my body then starts to hella turn to the right. He had been drinking which is obvious when you look at my tattoo. I didn't smell the alcohol until he came back from his little "break" 10 minutes after he started. The lotus looks completely different than what I had already drawn for him. While getting tattooed I had about 5 men (I have no idea if they work there or were just friends) watching and talking about me in Spanish. The man doing my tattoo was above and beyond interested in my chest size and if the man I brought with me was my boyfriend. He didn't fail to let me know I was making him "nervous" the whole time either. One of the guys made him and drink and said it was "coffee" which was obviously not coffee. I understand it was someone's birthday, but don't drink on the job while you're putting something that's going to last forever on someone's body! LADIES- If your tattoo involves taking your shirt and bra off bring something to cover your chest because if you don't you will NOT be provided with stickers or anything. I just got my nipples pierced. The artist was gentle and considerate of privacy. I would have given 5 stars but it wasn't until I got home that I noticed my left breast piercing was crooked. Instead of pulling out my breasts over my bra, I wished I was asked to take off my bra entirely. The artist had several years of experience in the industry however you'd think she would have known to insist my breasts were unobstructed before piercing. I tipped her well, not knowing one was crooked until I got home. It cost $30/pierced nipple. I then asked her to try to put jewelry in my tragus (ear) piercing that had possibly closed. I bought the jewelry ($10) and, although she was certain it closed, she was able to insert the jewelry without having to re-pierce. That was pretty cool. Had one tattoo done here and the tattoo itself was great. But the politics at this shop... where do I even begin. The artists held a personal biased against me solely because one of their regular customers and I had a conflict. To make matters worse, I asked one of the artists to do my second tattoo and he wouldnt even respond to me after saying he can do it to begin with. Piercing was 5/5. Didn't catch the name of my piercer. No pain, very fast, very clean. My tattoo on the other hand is the reason for this rating. I got a tattoo on my ring finger. YES I am aware these fade, but within the first day of having it, I could see empty spots. After a few days, when the ink has washed away, the tattoo was visible. And WHAT A DISSAPPOINTMENT it was. My tattoo, after 4 days of having it, was already faded, empty, and missing pieces. (I got a sun and the points are missing and the middle is empty.) This review is way long overdue. What other place gives $20 piercings on Wednesdays? I got my industrial piercing and my third lobe paying $60 in total. Keep in mind it's $20 for a reason, you're getting cheap basic jewelry. If you are sensitive to cheap jewelry, then don't come here but if you aren't as sensitive like I am then this is the place for you! The piercing was done by Andy. I took the piercings out before they were fully healed but they were perfectly fine. Believe me, I've had about 17 piercings and if you take good care of them, they won't get infected. Again, make sure you are not allergic/sensitive before going to get these piercings done because the jewelry is usually the ultimate infection/rejection factor.4 stars because they did not give me any advice on cleaning and/or any recommendations on after care. We came here at 11am today to get my daughter's nose pierced. The Open sign was on and the door was locked so we called and the phone just rang and then beeped like an answering machine picked up but there was no recording. We drove from Newark so figured we would wait there for awhile. Fast forward to 12:15pm and no was showed up yet. DO NOT GET A PIERCING BY THE GUY THAT WORKS HERE IN THE MORNING. He is a fucking idiot and doesn't know what he's doing. I got my double rook done this past Wednesday 11/2 and had to get it taken out 4 days later because it was so swollen, it looked like a fighters ear. I was in the worst pain of my life and would take ibuprofen and Tylenol every 4 hours and still be in pain. I went to a place called orbit to get them out and they said everything the guy did to my ear was completely wrong. Met with several different artist but as soon as I saw the way will looked at it and his confidence I knew I found the right artist! I recently came here 2 weeks ago (June 27) and I decided I was going to get my tongue pierced... So as I walked in there they had me just fill out a piece of paper & show my ID after that was done I followed the piercer to the back room where only 1 person is allowed, but it's pretty clean so that's good! As he was preparing my tongue, he didn't usually warn me or calm me down as I was a bit frightened haha. As he told me that he's putting a long bar in my tongue he literally did it with no warning. I wish he would of asked me if that was a good spot or actually knew what he was doing because I had to go to Orbit in SL to get it checked out & was told it was placed incorrectly and the bar was WAY too long where it was tearing my hole more. Thankfully Orbit was kind enough to switch to a smaller bar to help heal better where it did and since it was placed incorrectly on my web, it was indanger of never healing but now my tongue isn't swollen anymore & although it's placed very incorrectly I do love it. But even though Calaveras has a $30 all piercings, I do not recommend to come here for piercings. Read Less

So i've gotten two tattoos here by two different artists. My first one was with Erik. Erik was super cool and sweet. He was a genuinely nice guy and super reasonable with pricing. He tattooed my inner arm which hurt like hell but I pleased when I saw the finished product. HOWEVER, when I went to get my second tattoo two months later, I pointed out that the green bruising around my first tattoo never went away and found out that it was actually ink that would be there forever because he went too deep into my skin smh. I came for the Wednesday deal hoping to get my nose pierced. When filling out the paperwork I saw a large jumping bug of some sort on the floor while sitting on the couch. It's safe to say I walked out without getting anything done. I wouldn't come here if you are looking for a sanitary place. At least the worker was friendly. Read Less

I took my little cousin to get her Medusa pierced here, Everyone who worked here was super friendly and nice, also the shop was very organized and CLEAN and professional. The person who pierced my cousin talked to her through out her piercing because she was very nervous and scared.
