Don't let the location and exterior details of this place scare you. I call this place "diamond in the rough" because this is by far, hands-down, Hayward's best kept secret. Here's two reasons why;      1. Butler style customer service, a la Jeeves. I went there last night during closing time but *99th degree gloss-black grandmaster "Daniel-san" catered to my ink-addiction.* I heard he inherited all his skills from Mr. Miyagi, but don't take my word for it because I am not sure if that's alternative facts, fake news, or Fox News.       2. The atmosphere is not cocky, unlike Revere Tattoo on Harder Rd., Revere Tattoo is like a pissing contest when you get in there. Take it from me, and if anybody reading this review are close-friends of Revere Tattoo owner/artists Tony Ancheta & Paulo Luis, ask them how could two grown tough tattoo artists' file a temporary restraining order on Victor "Crybaby" Cruz? And how could they get clients when they can't even take the words outta my mouth, I ain't even laid hands on 'em and they already asked the Courts for me to be 300 yards away from their hardcore self. Really good experience. He stayed open for me and my sister late to get our tattoos in memory of our mother last night (sorry can't remember his name but he was really chill and very nice) He took his time with my tattoo, last tat I got felt rushed (different place). He suggested a different way for me to get my tat but didn't pressure me at all when he saw I liked the one I had already chosen. He checked and went over our tats for anything missed. Update: okay so apparently i don't think sonny check his company's email but does check his personal email since he responded quickly.I had my tattoo done by sonny years ago. But it was not done and I was unable to go back to him to get it done. I've been calling leaving messages and email to complete my humming birds plus to get another tattoo done by him and I have not received any responds back from him. I was very hesitant to change tattoo shops, but was fed up with the SF bougie shop scene. I was referred to by one of friends to go check out James. I texted him and began exchanging ideas for my two pieces I wanted. He was very personable and made me feel at ease when I came in for my session. I was surprised at how fast he finished both of my pieces, the detail and artistic touches he put into them was awesome. When I got home and looked at my new tattoos carefully, I wanted a few details touched up. James was more than willing to have me come in once again and work on them. I am in the process of trying to figure out what my next piece will be but when thats all done I will definitely come back to have him do my artwork. Read Less

I came to Blazing Horse Tattoo for the first time and had the pleasure of having Daniel (IG:Daniel_blazinghorse) tattoo an Anise Swallowtail Butterfly on my arm. He was a very nice fella, super friendly and made sure you get your breaks for fresh air and snacks haha! My butterfly came out amazing and is now one of my favorite tattoo!! I am always getting compliments from strangers, telling me how real It looks or how it seems like it'll pop right out of my skin:p  Thank you so much Daniel, I love my butterfly!!!!!!! James was recommended to me by another artist. He was awesome. We touched bases prior to the appointment to get some ideas floating around. He sent a couple of sketches for feedback prior to my appointment. First of all when I showed up to my appointment I was impressed that he was there cleaning & sterilizing his equipment and station. Excellent start!  We went over the drafts, did a little change. We were started within forty five minutes. Another excellent move to me, get down to business!  James was so accommodating, check on my "comfort/pain" level. The shop was cool. Other artists & perspective clients around. My review is for Daniel. HE DID AN AMAZING JOB!! I did a walk-in today hoping to get my first tattoo for my 20th bday and I love the result! He is super chill, really easy to talk to and patient. He made sure the design was what I wanted and the size was right. Considering I am the biggest baby when it comes to needles, Daniel definitely put me at ease through out the process. Second time booking with James and he's the best. Both sessions I emailed him pic references and he drew up a custom design then sends them to me for any tweaks. He's super chill and easy to work/chat with. Charges by the hour and stops the clock when anyone needs a food/bathroom break. He always plays new movies on the big screen for you while he tatts. (And he has everything even the ones that just released in theaters lol) James is my go - to I highly recommend him! Read Less

I went in yesterday and talked to Daniel to see if he does walk-ins...turns out he does! It was my first time getting a tattoo and I couldn't asked for more from this shop. Daniel was hella friendly and hella funny too. He managed to relieve my "stress" and "anxiety" of getting a tattoo. He just grabbed the picture out of my head on how I want my tattoo to be done and I tell you what, HE FUCKING NAILED IT. That day I getting a tattoo, the health inspector was also there inspecting around the shop which took us quite some time waiting but everything was worth it. He even managed to cut a deal with me on the tattoo since I had a budget on me. The whole experience was pretty good and I will definitely come back to get my 2nd tattoo. Read Less

James is amazing! He's been doing me and my cousins tattoos for years now, but yesterday he did my mother n law's tattoo on her foot. He made her feel really comfortable, and was very patient with her. He printed up a couple stencils for her and even placed a few, so she could pick the one she really wanted. The tattoo took all of 15 minutes which was just enough for her. James is an artist, and he's also has a pretty dope personality!She said that James vibe is very chill and if she was going to get more tattoos he would be her guy. Blazing Horse is in a good location right off of Jackson. They have a parking lot in the back, so you car will be safe. In side there's a huge big screen tv for you to watch while you're getting tatted. Read Less

Daniel really went out of his way to put my friend's mind at ease when she laid down on his table to get her first tattoo. He joked, made her laugh (bad idea though since the tattoo was on her hip) and repeatedly reminded her that, if at any point the pain got a little too much, he could stop to give her a break. It really helped to soothe her nerves.Daniel also did a great job in doing the sketch for what my friend wanted. He even printed out a couple different sizes for her to hold up and size, and listened to the suggestions she brought to the table, even as he was laying the template down. And it only cost her $100, not including the tip!The only thing I had an issue with was the fact that some guy just walked right up to where my friend was getting her tattoo about halfway through the 1.5 hour session, sat down, and essentially hung out with us for the rest of the time that my friend was getting her tattoo done. I mean, luckily, my friend didn't mind and Daniel seemed to know him (AND the guy did apologize and ask if we wanted him to leave but we told him he was fine, so he stayed), but I was definitely put off by it at first. But hey, not my tattoo, not my place to care.Overall, I really did enjoy the experience as the hand-holder to the tattoo-getter, and my friend was thrilled with how everything turned out in the end, so that's what really matters :) Read Less
