I always enjoy coming to the shop, the guys are professionals and super nice. Everyone is very friendly and respectful, they will always give you a cup of coffee or bottle of water. The guys build a good relationships with everyone who walks in, I feel welcomed every time I come, even if I came just to hang out or chat. And when I leave I always have a big satisfying smile on my face. The tattoo artist who did my tattoo was Miguel was able to help me to put what I was thinking down on paper      I was able to go early to get my tattoo so I had time to get my kids from school. I first met tommy and Marty in 2007/2008. They let me come to the shop and hangout, it was my home away from home. Being new to the area I didn't know anyone I had ran away from home and they really took me in and showed me and educated me on the area. Marty became like a brother to me and Tommy well like a father. I had Marty tattoo a train on my for arm it was my second tattoo ever. The workers here are very nice and welcoming, however the shop is super dirty there were leaves all over the floor blowing in from the outside. The furniture in this place is worn out, makes you not even wanna sit on it. My belly ringer looked very old and used. If your cool with nice people in a dirty environment come here! Read Less

I was referred to the Body shop by a friend and i am really disappointed. It was my mistake to not do research but I assumed any artist would be able to draw 3 hearts symmetrically.. the first picture is what he did and the second one is him fixing it. Made an appointment...artist was running 45 min late  i waited....came back artist running 2 hours late?  Not OK...had to reschedule me....Place is dirty with kids running around jumping on furniture...not OK...artist told me 3 times Im really slow....Im really slow....Im reallly slow    Ok i get it ...you dont want to do my tattoo....I asked him about the color of my current tattoo and he he said.." I've been coming to this shop even when Tommy the owner was still tattooing. Now it's just Caesar, Marty (owners son), and two new guys. Caesar and Marry have been tattooing me for years! One of the new guys, I believe one of them is named Anthony but I'm talking about the other new guy who isn't Anthony (I forgot his name, sorry!) but he did my Pocahontas tattoo and my sons name and some really small delicate one needle flowers on my arm. These guys always make us feel so comfortable! And they're super affordable and reasonable! I always recommend them to my friends. I've brought a lot of my friends here to get tatted! Read Less

Caesar was awesome! Did my piercings. So quick, somewhat painless. Made the experience fun, humorous, & comfortable. The establishment itself could use see work. I'd give them more stars if that was a thing. Everyone here is super friendly but my only actual experience has been with Cesar and he is amazing. I went here a year ago for my neck piercing and he did a beautiful job. I'm a bit of a fainter when it comes to piercings but he handled it and made sure I was okay before he let me leave which was very nice of him. A year later and my neck has survived and I've had no problem. I went back a couple of months ago for another surface piercing and he did tell me before I got it that there was a chance of rejection (he doesn't just want your money he actually cares) but I got the piercing anyways (surface tragus). It was doing okay but unfortunately rejected recently (not at all his fault, too many things got caught in it and pulled it). I went back to him when it was acting weird and he offered to change the ring if I wanted but we ended up agreeing on removing the piercing and he did it for me. he does a very clean job, unseals everything in front of you and very professional and fast, he doesn't struggle. ill be back soon to give the same piercing a second try! I was thinking about getting a tattoo that represented the three most important people in my life: my mom, my brother, and my daughter. All three are born in the Year of the Rabbit.So I told Marty what I wanted and he came up with a design that I really liked. There were a few issues with timing the appointments and because of that, he gave me a discount on the tattoo. But under the circumstances, I didn't mind. He said that it would take 3-4 hours to get it done. He started around 2 pm and we were done by 5:30 so he got that about right. I like the proportion and the look of the tattoo. He also gave me what I wanted even though I was pretty vague with details. All in all, I got exactly what I wanted at a decent price. I have been going to the Body Shop for over 6 years!!! Caesar and Marty and his father Tommy are like family/brothers to me!!! They are so laid back and fair with their prices. It truly is a sincerely relaxed environment where their goal is to bang out nice tattoos and not charge you and arm and a leg for them either. I have been to other shops in the past where the people that worked there were such Pr.cks.....and all they wanted to do was ream you for everything you own. The first thing you should know as a warning sign of a BAD tattoo shop is when they (the store manager or artists) tell you they are the best in LA and the other shops are inferior. Well, when you go to the Body Shop Tattoo to get work done nobody talks smack over there about other artists from other shops. The Body Shop Tattoo place has been in Glendale for like 20-30 years, they do not need to stoop to the low level of these other shops that put down fellow artists within the same industry.
