Worst tattoo shop I've ever ever ever been to & extremely dissatisfied with their customer service. Called ahead to see if they were busy, since the last shop we were planning a walk-in for was booked up. They said no they aren't busy & to stop by. My wife & I were looking to get a quick script & 3 paw prints for our dogs. We were greeted by a "can I help you guys?" So we described our situation. The gentleman told us to have a seat because the artist we were supposed to be working with currently had a customer. 30 minutes later he came up to us & asked what we wanted to get done. My wife gave her script & asked for an estimate. He said he couldn't give an estimate until he sized the font. Fair enough. He spent 15 minutes trying to size the font & walked back over to us. He appeared eager to get started as he had all his equipment set up. Again, we asked for an estimate after he insisted we come on back to get started. "Ummmmmmm about $200." So we're thinking... Okay so this is about 3 inches wide & 1 inch tall. Unless it's van gogh himself tattooing starry night we don't think it's a $200 tattoo, considering the last shop we went to was quoted at $90 for the artlessness of it. We stared at him blankly. This was not our first rodeo & have various large pieces on our bodies. With our blank stares piercing his soul he dropped the price to $175 instantly. He then proceeded to ask what kind of price range we're working with. We informed him we do not have much of a budget but it seemed pretty high considering the last shop we inquired at was $90. He told us "you know you shouldn't shop for price. I could tattoo you for $30 also but I have people walking in here for cover ups all the time". So mind you, still do not know this man's name as he made no attempt to make a formal introduction, did not shake his hand, was not offered to see a portfolio, & no hourly rates/prices were given. Basically this number was coming from the land down under. He then asked us what amount we were working with. We literally had no specific budget & just knew how much each would be worth, considering the simplicity & the artistry it would take, (which is little to none if one considers themselves an artist, if you aren't illiterate & can work a machine you can tattoo this). He then reduced his price to $130 & said he could work with that. So $200, $175, $130. I guess we dropped the price $70 in 30 seconds so where exactly did this initial price come from? All we had to do was give blank stares & say we got better prices somewhere else. So was this supposed to be in our favor? Or was it supposed to entice us into actually getting tattooed here? We then changed the subject & asked about the paw prints of our dogs. 3 prints to be exact, all black (no fancy tribal or whatever inside), 1 large & 2 medium prints which were taken from our actual dogs. It was quoted at $125, which is less than the script. So we're thinking, wtf? How is this going to be less work than a small 1x3 inch script? We let him know we would think about it. He then said " okay just let me know" & proceeded to pack up his equipment & clean his work station off. At this point we were insulted & walked out of the shop. Never ever ever again would we think of stopping into this shop for small or big pieces & would highly recommend a neighborhood backyard goon tattooing out of his shed before we recommend this spot. If I could give 0 stars, I would. It's sad I don't even know this guy's name to be able to call him out. Stop by Generation 8 instead on Melrose & get some real ink. These guys should be put out of business for their buffoonery. It was my mistake walking into this shop after reading these BS reviews. Find a different shop. These guys will hustle you without knowing how much ink you already have on your body just because you look young. Read Less
