I had my back tattoo there. She is great, very detailed oriented, lines and shading is perfect. You can definitely tell she is a skilled artist. I call her a   "hidden gem" if more ppl knew about her she would always be overbooked. She is accompanied by her husband, they're willing to take time to discuss your tattoo options. Finalize my tattoo last night Jan. 08, 2017. My first tattoo full sleeve with Anna and from beginning to end Anna and Peter was professional, and caring. If you're serious about getting a good tattoo, Anna is the one to go too. She is one of the greatest tattoo artist I've have ever seen. As for me I'm a koi lover and no one have the best tatto art like her. She take her time and trick out the tattoo to the max. All of her art work is beautiful. I agree with everything Paula B. said in her review. I had 2 back to back sessions on June 3-4. It is kind of hard to find, but as a reference, it is in the shopping center right in front of "Star's Glass". They're both very professional. Peter and Anna are very accomodating. So accomodating that when I was cold from the AC, they moved the chair a few feet away from the cold air, gave me a scrub to put on, brought me a warm blanket, and hot green tea.You talk about what exactly you want and how you want it before she starts. I came out for this unbelievable work of art all the way from Houston, Texas. I enjoyed my time in Orange County and I will definitely recommend my friends and family go to her to get work done. She is as good as it gets. I will be planning on coming back in the future for more. Also all the green tea and DirecTV you can handle. You can't beat that. When we lived in others state, hear good thi g of Anna hang, we took of work for a week twice to come here, Me n my bf got the tattoo done here for mote than 70 hours, the tattoo come out so bad,n old looking , n she won touch up for free, that's wrong, I went to different artist, he looked at back n laughed so bad, n ask me why do I come back ask to fix cause if that's his work, he will fix to make the customer happy, n my bf leg still not been fix n he can't even wear short cause don want to show off the tattoo, we paid a lot of money for the tattoo n for the trip, n the tattoo come out like shit,, I told everyone don, please don come here ,,,she can't draw, can't creative, just print the pictures on the Internet,, n shading like kindergarden, no customer service, no warranty for the work,, Read Less

I absolutely love my Tattoo, I sat for 9 hours while she covered up one of my poorest choices in my life. She is truly an artist and very kind,as is her husband . I felt so comfortable , and relaxed. You get what you pay for, in my case only apparently. I chose her because I like her work according to what I saw on the website and big color pictures in her studio. I don't understand how she does coverups if she can't even do custom work? I just don't get it. Seems to me they want me in and out. Choose a picture stencil it on and just trace the lines and shade it in. If that was at least done I would be happy. Everyone else's tats looked awesome to me. 1st off I picked a beautiful Koi with a flower next to it, I asked if they put a coin with string in its mouth they said they don't do that. I showed them a picture in their studio that they did. 2nd, as they were working on me they asked if I want color, I said I want dark purple on the tips of the fins, they said they couldn't. Then why is there a picture drawing of it in their studio? 3rd, while she was tattooing me I showed her a pic on my phone of a piece she did on her website of a koi with natural black on it. I asked that I would like to have those spots in red. Her husband translated it to her and she said it would look ugly on my black koi and didn't want to do it. I said the red is significant to me and asked at least put it on the face and head. They didn't seem happy and started speaking in Vietnamese with a tone I didn't like. Maybe i'm mistaken and forgive me if I am wrong. 4th, the coin has a square hole in the middle where the string goes through, I asked if she can keep it solid and put it in 2 small holes at the edges because I want her to place initials in the middle. She said she can't do that. Really?!!! You can't just NOT draw a square hole in the middle! Rather it's easier to tattoo one in?! 5th, I asked her to not make the coin black and grey but a gold color, she said no that would be ugly, so she shaded it in anyway. Really? I'm sorry I didn't know that you were the one wearing my tattoo piece that I am paying you for! What is wrong with these people!!?? 6th, there is a water wave that should be an "inverted color". Meaning, the lines should be invisible but is visible once the line from shading are used so that the fish looks like its under the water wave. Not only did she tattoo the lines in very dark, it looks like she had an episode of the shakes. There is nothing she can do to make it look like water. 7th, The water flow lines are so bad I want to cut my skin out. She shaded  the flow very unevenly and over the lines. 8th, Before she even started I told her I want water splash as if the Koi jumped in the water. Her husband tried to rush me and said, "okay okay later okay?" I am supposed to go back and get it finished up but I'm never going back. I went to another place the next day because my wife thought I was too critical because I am an artist myself. She believed me when all the artist came to look at it and I didn't even have to mention her name. They know her work because it is cookie cutter non-custom art but she is an award winning artist and don't know why they treated me in this manner or why she did sub-par work on me. I think she has a huge artistic background according to her bio, that she may have been over confident and thought I wouldn't know anything about art or didn't care if I was disrespected. I have pictures to prove it, but I don't have anything to prove except to say that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil... Why didn't I give a 1? I had a great experience at Anna Hang Tattoo.  I needed a cover piece done and I knew exactly what I wanted.  I visited a few very popular tattoo shops in Huntington Beach & Costa Mesa that told me what I wanted could not be done, my cover would take many appts. and thousand of dollars, and wouldn't be the design I wanted but something similar.  Anna did my tattoo from start to finish in 7 and a half hours, was very respectful of my time and at $100 to $120 per hour it's a steal for her artistry.  A tattoo is not just for the length of time you feel llike wearing it rather it is forever, I wanted to be sure I found the right artist this time and I did.  I felt lucky to find someone that could do my cover exactly the way I wanted it without being able to see what was there before and she definately pulled it off.  Anna was very professional, her shop is not your typical tattoo parlor, by appt. only, which is nice if you are having work done and you don't want people walking in & out during your one on one tattoo session.  The shop was very clean and comfortable and her and her husband Peter were very nice to work with.  Take a look at her website to see some of the amazing work work she has done.  I would definately recommend her to anyone looking for a very high quality tattoo, that they will love forever.  She does very beautiful black & grey work, I wanted color this time and color was what I got couldn't be happier with my experience at Anna Hang Tattoo. If I could, I would give 3.5 stars. I don't think this was a 4 based on my experience, but also not really a 3 :pAs mentioned by Nhu below me, her artwork is amazing. I wondered to myself why there aren't more reviews? I thought it would be worth it to check the facility out for myself. The first impression was that the shop gave me an at home feeling which I liked. It was as if I just walked into someone's house. This is a husband and wife shop. Anna does the tattoo-ing and her husband translates as she does not speak much English if any. I don't know if there are other artists but she was the only one working when i arrived (didn't matter to me as she was the only person who i came to see). They aren't your average intimidating tattoo artists. I see them more as an aunt and uncle type. I was lucky enough to have two guys keep me company in the waiting room. The husband asked what I wanted and i gave him details of what I have in mind. He told me that custom work is going to be more expensive which is normal. I asked what the difference in pricing was and he then tells me that they "don't really" do custom work and I would need to show her a picture because they are really busy and custom would take too long? Really -__-? I doubt any of their sleeve work or back pieces are an exact replica of something online. Anyway, I showed him a picture I had on my phone. They literally wanted to copy exactly what the picture was which isn't what I have in mind. I understand that everything is driven by profit and they would rather book someone with 30 hours of work as oppose to my 5-6 hours of work. If you are looking to get sleeves or huge back pieces, I'm not going to lie she does a great job and I think her prices are reasonable. Look at her pictures! What more can I say? It was a little hard finding this place, but I called and asked, and the receptionist was super nice and helpful. I came in for a consultation to discuss my cover up for my back piece. She was so sweet and soft spoken. Gently looking at my tattoo and giving out suggestions. She told me her price and I booked my appointment on the spot! Though appointments are far -mine is in six months- It's worth it.
