I just got a tattoo and it turned out great! Thor the artist was very light handed and I must say that it's my best looking tattoo I have ever got. Price reasonable. I am very impressed. The tattoo artist spent time with me explaining a lot about how the image would look and how the one place I wanted one would fade fast so he didn't recommend it but he would still do it if I wanted it. Then when I decided to get a piercing instead he didn't seem irked that he had spent so much time speaking to me on the tattoo. I did have to wait for the piercer for quite a while because she wasn't on time to work but I understand things happen. The piercer was worth the wait she made me feel at ease and did the piercing quick and (almost) painless. It was cash only, they have an atm there but it charges $3 for the transaction. We were looking for a place to get my 8yr old daughters ears pierced. It's been her wish for awhile and surprised her on her bday. We asked for many recommendations, and many said stay away from the "gun" version which made sense bc of sterilization and experience issues. Now we had to find a place. We came into Engineerink not knowing what to expect, but David greeted us and helped us every step of the way. He explained everything, was patient, and professional.  Best of all my daughter said it was painless and loves her new earrings! I came in last week with my brother to get our earlobes pierced. Each earlobe was $30 with the jewelry included. We were the first ones at the shop so we didn't have to wait very long. Lucina was our piercer and she was very helpful and informative regarding the process. She gave suggestions for placements and made sure we were happy with where they ended up being. She also ran us through the after care process and we were on our way out about 45 min after we came in. Had an awesome experience here. We went here to get my daughter's second ear piercing and we looked all over for the best piercing shop. It did take a while before someone greeted us, but it's a tattoo shop too, people are busy. I wish I knew the piercers name.. blonde haired lady, lots of piercings... anyways, she was very professional and tried to make my daughter feel at ease (even though I think my daughter was freaking out inside) .. they had different options for earrings than most shops, which I liked. Came here for my first Tattoo. It was a walk-in and Phil was our artist. Me and my two best friends got the same tattoo and he came up with a nice simple design of a peony. He made sure that we were prepared for the tattoo and it came out incredible. The actual tattoo took about 10 minutes or less. The only thing is they are cash only so I suggest getting cash beforehand. They do have an ATM in there but it wasn't working when we were there and had to go to the liquor store to get some cash. I recently got three piercings and I am so glad that I came to this location. I had been looking up places to go and I saw that this place had very great reviews but of course me getting my first piercings that are actually professionally done (younger me did very wild things). Lucina was the first person I saw when I walked in and immediately helped me. She helped me pick out what kind of jewelry I wanted and even gave me more information to help make my decision. i came in over the weekend after going to a couple places in fullerton, some were really expensive and some piercers weren't available. and then thankfully i walked to to Engineering Tattoo without an appointment and Lucina was able to take me almost right away. i had my tongue pierced once before and i just needed help to open it back up and she did that for me easily causing me no pain. i lost a ball to one of my earrings and she replaced that for me, as well.and she was also super informative - i had an industrial piercing i got years ago from another piercer that got a nasty keloid, so she was able to give me some information about that and told me to come on by when i'm ready for it to be done right ;) overall she was super friendly and helpful and was very well priced. i will definitely be going back to her for more piercings ! Every time I come here I feel like I'm walking into my own home. Everyone is always so warm and friendly. I've been to EngineerInk 4 times, 3 for tattoo-related experiences and, for the first time yesterday, a piercing. I got my cartilage pierced by Lucina, and it couldn't have gone any better. It was my first time getting anything other than my earlobes done, so I was very anxious. Lucina was extremely reassuring and made me feel much calmer. She pierced me perfectly and very swiftly so my pain and panic was minimum. I also want to highlight my awesome experiences with both Chanel and Phillip, whom I've both gotten tattooed by. Chanel did a large piece on my arm (bouquet) a year ago and was so awesome. She's so caring with her clients and puts so much creativity and effort into the pieces she creates. So idk if it matters but I was a walk in, I came in for an estimate and I was like 90% set on getting tatted if he was willing to work with me. I was anticipating being a customer but now I have to write an ugly review cause my feelings got hurt :cI was greeted by someone behind the counter kinda abruptly (which I guess isn't a bad thing?) but he asked what I needed help with & I started explaining a concept for the piece I wanted. I notice they offer check-in offer for certain piercings. Nothing to complain about, they are fast and clean. They are cash only so make sure you bring cash. Parking is not tough, always parking space when visiting this parlor. They will have you sign something and get a copy of your ID. Then you will go into their piercing room and you'll be out in no time. They will mark the piercing area and when you ok it, everything is history. I'm giving 1-star because of the poor experience and lack of customer service. At 3 PM today, I called the studio to ask if someone would be available at 7PM. The lady on the phone said they would be available till 8PM. I asked if I should make an appointment, but they said it would be okay because the day was slow and the procedure would be very quick. We arrived at 6:30 PM for a simple regular ear piercing for my sister. We drove from out of town to come here specifically because the reviews were good. Upon arrival, we were told that the piercing artist has already left for the day. We are saddened and upset that no one thought to tell us before we drove 30-45 minutes from out of town. Legit the best place ever. I went on Friday the 13th and it was extremely packed, but the artists and the shop workers were very friendly and had good customer service. Since it was extremely hot that day, they set up a little tub of ice with cold water bottles for their customers which I thought was amazing.I got my tattoo from Dylan Smith. First of all, let me just say, I had been stalking his work on Instagram and I really wanted him to tattoo me on Friday the 13th,  but since the shop was sooooooo full, I didn't know if he was going to be able to. As fate had it, I ended up seeing him and telling him that I would love for him to tattoo me and he was nice enough to grab my stencil and tattoo me. He literally has the lightest hand and made it so comfortable for me. Easy to talk to and extremely talented. Had a great couple of past experiences with this piercing shop. Therefore it wasn't a hesitance recommending my girl friend to stop by for her piercing. Came in at 4:45 with my girl friend today for her belly piercing. We were greeted by a blue-hair lady and she started with our paperwork right away. Upon finishing, we asked for an estimated wait time, she replied 'I don't know, I will call you up'. Okay somewhat understandable because there were a couple of people ahead of us. So we waited and waited. Hearing all the people she called in but felt like it was never going to be our turn. The lack of communication to customers is purely phenomenal. We could happily wait if she were just to let us know how longer it'd take. She obviously sees that we were waiting impatiently, we looked at each other but she continued to disappoint us. At 5:45, makes it exactly 1 hour of waiting without knowing if my friend was even going to get her piercing. We decided to walk out while she was standing behind the front table watching us make our way. It was such a great disappointment of even stopping by today, walked out with an hour wasted, and most sadly, I was the one recommending my friend to go here. My last experiences were great with everyone else at the shop. We wouldn't have mind the wait, but knowing she left us there to wait with the lack of customer service was nothing else but bull. Best place I've been to for a tattoo. I came here with my husband to get matching tattoos of our wedding date. We were greeted immediately and sent over to Phillip. We told him what we wanted and he sat us down and helped us go over fonts/sizes/placement. This was my 3rd tattoo and my previous times none of the tattoo artists I had ever did that. So my cousin is 17 and she wanted a nose piercing. So we went with a big group with my sister. My cousin and her sister and my older cousin's  husband. So we come in ,and my cousin fills out the waiver ,and she shows her ID and nothing is said. Before we know it that lady who works in there with the shitty highlights comes in rudely shouts at us about my cousin being underaged ,and us needing a guardian to get her piercing. I was SO excited to be getting my very first tattoo here. I searched up so many places before coming here because I wanted my first tattoo to be memorable. But man was it NOT. The guy who helped me out TOTALLY played me. At first he gave me the paperwork and went over everything. Then he asked what tattoo I wanted. The tattoo I got was more than simple. All I wanted was thin Roman numerals on my upper left shoulder. After all of that consulting he asked if it was my first tattoo. And I honestly said yes. Once I gave him the numbers, the font I wanted, and where I wanted it, he priced me at $120. I was surprised at first but then I just bit the bullet and put it aside because I assumed if he placed it that high, I would look great. So after he printed out the stencil and placed it on me. And he KEPT PLACING IT WRONG after 5 times of telling him where I wanted it. Then I just said forget it, can I try to place it down myself. And mind you, I just wanted it parallel to the slant of my shoulder... he placed it okay whatever the process began. Once he finished after 40 mins, I look in the mirror AND HE MESSED UP MY TATTOO. I came here two years ago to get a helix piercing. I saw that this place had good reviews. The process itself was fine. The issue was finding out two years later from a better piercer at a different location that I received the wrong jewelry as it was way too long and did not scar well. I patiently waited for two years to change jewelry and finding out that I won't be able to is disappointing and a waste of time.  I will now have to let the hole heal and start all over again, but next time I will get it done with an experienced piercer. There were people already waiting which I took as a good sign and someone greeted me when I got to the counter. I actually forgot my driver's license so I had to go home and come back. When I got back a group of customers were being helped but I was still greeted and assured that I would be helped as soon as they were done.When it was my turn Lucina gave a thorough explanation of which earrings to use depending on the look I want once it has healed. I initially found this place because I was looking to get a tattoo done. I read the reviews and knew immediately that I wanted to get some piercings done here as well. I came in around 1:30 today and they were a little busy. Lucina was in the front already helping two girls fill out their paperwork to get piercings done and helped me as well. She was charming and sweet. I felt comfortable with her! I ended up getting a double helix and my Tragus done. I was a little nervous, but Lucina put my mind at ease. It all turned out wonderfully! We stopped in for a couple of industrial piercings. We chose this place because it had so many reviews and also because of the pricing. Other shops were charging $40 for the piercing plus another $40 to $50 for the jewelry, and engineer ink is only $40 and includes the jewelry. Everyone seemed friendly enough while still minding to what they were doing. Eva did our piercing and she was amazing. Super friendly and explained what she was doing as she was doing it. It took a few minutes for her to set up for us but once we got going the piercing itself only took a couple of minutes. I would highly recommend her! Read Less

Was looking to get my nose pierced and stumbled across this amazing deal (if you check into their shop you pay for a $30 nose piercing for only $20.) anyways, bottom line is Eva pierced my nose & she was very sweet with such a delicate touch. Just got my earlobes pierced by Lucina and I just wanted to jump on here and say she was awesome! She was really nice and had a very calming presence, which helped me out as I was pretty nervous. I really appreciated how she was explaining what she was doing as she was doing it and answered any questions I had during the procedure. Came in to redo a helix piercing I had first gotten from Claire's almost a year ago. The original piercing had kept getting infected on and off and basically never healed so decided it was time to get it done professionally somewhere better. Eva was very helpful in giving me advice, based on the amount of scar tissue I probably had in the original piercing location. Since I wanted to get a second helix on the same ear she said it was best to adjust the location for both new piercings around the old spot in order to avoid any issues with healing.Best piercing experience I've ever had tbh; Eva was super nice and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole thing, which was all done in a matter of 5-10min. Two bad experiences at this place, two days in a row, with completely separate people. After the first day, first time, i was going to let it go maybe they were having a long day i can understand that. But today my gf and her friend went in again today and AGAIN had an awful experience. I went in wanting a face tattoo and i understand asking if im sure because its a face tattoo but i was being grilled on it asking if im sure over 5 times, asking me if my parents know, being very invasive asking what i do for work, telling me "kids come in all the time to get their faces tattooed" and he doesn't like doing them. First of all, if im coming in asking to schedule an appt with someome for this tattoo im obviously pretty freaking sure i want it, second, i am 24 years old and very established in my career as a barber not that it was any of his business. Joseph did my tattoo.Again today we called before hand to set and appt and we were told we had to come in to make an appt. So we came in to make an appt with chanel and the dude was super condescending with everything we were saying and ended up not letting us schedule an appt without even giving us a reason for why he wouldnt.    I will never return here or refer anyone here, matter fact i will continue to spread the word about how awful the customer service is here. The only people who seemed personable at all were the women the dudes were rude, condescending, and uninviting. Very disappointed, just awful. Read Less

I've been wanting to get another piercing for a while (specifically my tragus) and I really did not want to go to Claire's or some place in the mall because I've heard that those girls are untrained. Finally grew and pair and decided to spontaneously get it pierced for the new year.I stumbled upon this spot by searching on Yelp and noticed it had great reviews. It's located in a small strip mall in Fullerton. Glad I made the decision to go here because the whole process went smoothly and these people are truly the professionals. I waited about 30 minutes because I saw lots of young females waiting to get piercings just like me. Lucina was very knowledgeable and experienced. She pierced my tragus with a brand new clean needle (learned that the piercing gun is unsanitary and can cause more infections). Lucina's professionalism really put me at ease, knowing that I was getting it done correctly. I've had an infection in the past from a helix piercing at the mall. Following the procedure, she explained and gave me instructions on how to properly clean and what to expect during the healing process. I'd recommend this place to all my friends who want a piercing. Contains two reviews since I've received two different services here and the 5 stars is for both of them:My sister and I came in here to get pierced; she got her nose pierced while I got my septum pierced just yesterday and I have to say that Lucina was absolutely amazing! She was so kinda and gentle, which is what you want in someone who's about to make a hole in your body! The wait total was about an hour since she was the only one doing piercings and there were a few people ahead of us, but it didn't make a difference. She was worth the wait! The only thing I wish I'd known was about the Yelp check-in promo. But honestly, it doesn't really matter. The reason I drove from Santa Monica to Fullerton was because I know they have great service and aren't ridiculously expensive as they have fair prices. I also came here in March to meet with Chanel who did my tattoo on my right forearm. It's a pretty big piece and she nailed it! Chanel was super professional, nice, and really listened to what I wanted from my tattoo. She was honest and gave me a fair price! I was recommended here by a friend! Service was really quick and I was handed a form 5-10ish minutes after coming in. I got my septum done and my friends who have their septums pierced said this was painless and a piece of cake! LIARS! This piercing was quite possibly the worst pain I've ever experienced (at no fault of the piercer). He was a nice guy and really efficient. Like a fast-food worker, but for piercings LOL. He pierced my friend's rook and my septum in 10-15ish minutes total (placement, prep, and all).The piercing made my eyes water a LOT! This review is actually like 4.9/5 because I wish the piercer offered tissues! I literally walked out the front door with tears streaming down my face :~(.Anyways, I haven't had any problems with the healing process. It was an impulsive decision to get my septum pierced and I didn't know how I felt about it at first. Now, I'm in looooove with it. Definitely will come back in the future! :-) Read Less

Parking is a big lot, easy to find a spot.The shop itself was easy to find and inside there was a good amount of space to sit or stand.All the staff was super nice. I went with 3 other friends and we were all getting piercings. Eva was our piercer and she was suuuuuper nice. There was a wait from doing paperwork, picking out jewelry and then finally going to the back but it was ok because when we finally did go to the piercing room everything was organized and sanitary and she got all 4 of us done super quick while still doing an awesome job. All 4 of us were getting our helix pierced ($30 with jewelry) and I had heard that it would be painful but Eva definitely knew what she was doing because it didn't hurt at all and we all had her choose the placement which she rocked despite our different ear shapes and look.I would definitely come back and I plan to come back here for a tattoo based on the artwork they had in books in the waiting area Read Less

Got my second piercing here and it was a great experience. Dale and Lucia did my piercing and they handled me with great care. Lucia explained what she would be doing, how she would be doing it, and gave me warning when she was going to start doing it. Dale did the actual piercing, which was fast and almost painless. Being slightly afraid of needles, I felt very comfortable and not rushed. They made sure they marked the hole where I wanted it as well. Clean, well lit space with great prices! Engineerink is so amazing! I just got my first two tattoos and I was super nervous. I walked in with no appointment and they were able to take my mom and I. Phillip tattooed me and he did such an amazing job. He took his time and stopped a couple times because I was getting light headed and totally made me feel comfortable. He was also super honest and gave his truthful and professional opinion on what he thought would and wouldn't look good. I'm so glad he did because I can't stop staring at my two tattoos now.As the other artists were leaving they were also talking to us and said goodbye. I wish I could give them zero stars. The blue haired girl at the front literally told every person that came in that the piercers would be back in 15-20 mins (I got there at 4:20pm) I filled out the paperwork, and then waited 45 mins (it was now 5:05pm), and the two piercers (Dave and Eva) came in simultaneously late. Eva worked on the gal ahead of me, getting her daiths replaced, right away and was done by 5:15pm. Now that wouldn't be a problem.. if they were honest about the wait times, the number of piercers on the clock (Dave apparently was not there to work... His shift was over at 5pm according to Eva. He had 2 cigarettes outside and walked aimlessly around the store), etc. At 5:45pm (after being there for an hour and 25 minutes) I politely ask the tattoo artist by the front desk (the blue haired receptionist was giggling in the back, hiding with Eva) what was going on, and mention that they said we had to wait for Eva and Dave to get here and then they'd be working. At this point I was calm, relaxed, and still really wanted to get pierced. Just wanted to be in the loop. Well. Eva (the darling that she is) comes to the front and is instantly in defense mode. The first thing she says to me, "you wanted to talk to me? You have a problem with how I'm doing things?" I explained the situation, and Eva placed blame literally on everyone and said that none of this waiting or lack of communication was her fault. Then proceeds to say in a patronizing way that I was next and how she needs to set up for everyone in a line for my safety, and argues about the wait time with me. Hey, Eva.. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Promptly after telling me I'm next, she says, "you are always free to take your business to another establishment". I wasn't even trying to complain, she took it upon herself to be a rude, mean girl to me. Refused to give me my information back. Everyone in there had a look of disgust on their face. I bid them adieu, and told them I'd be writing them a review, to which they said, "I hope you do" in a mocking tone. SO incredibly unprofessional. Never will I recommend anyone to this place. This review is for Eva. My friend and I went in on a Friday evening to get our nipples pierced - we've been sitting on it for awhile but never actually got up the courage to do it until now. I researched multiple places, and Engineerink appeared to have the lowest prices ($60) as well as the best reviews, so we decided to strike while the proverbial iron was hot and just do it.We were understandably nervous, but we felt instantly assured by Eva once we went into the piercing room. Like everybody else said, she was so sweet and patient. She made sure to explain every step thoroughly, which made me feel more relaxed. The piercing itself was moderately painful. I have a high pain tolerance and have had multiple piercings before, including industrials, septum, nose, earlobe, and lip. The most painful piercing I've had done were my 2 industrials, which I would rate 8/10 on pain. I expected nipple piercings to be at least on par with the industrials - everything I researched online said that they were among the most painful piercings. But when Eva actually pierced me, the pain was only around 4-5/10. It was probably because she was so quick and did a good job distracting me through the process. Once she marked the placements, she pierced them with a hollow needle, threaded the bar through, and it was over before I knew it. It's been a few days since I got them pierced and they are healing better than I expected them to. There really isn't any pain unless I get them caught in something, and for the most part I forget that they're even there. If you're considering getting them done, I'd encourage you to go to Eva. She's skilled, fast, professional, and super sweet to boot. Read Less

She did an amazing job that my daughter decided to get her nose pierced too.
