Was referred to John by a good friend of mine. I had some work done on my foot a while back (not by John), and a lot of it was faded and overall just not a pleasant sight. I stopped by the shop, John took a look at it  and we set a date for late mid July. I was hoping to get something sooner, since I was going to be in Palm Springs around that time, but unfortunately he was all booked up, so before I left I asked if he could call me if he was able to get anything sooner or if he had any cancels and he assured me he would. Come the following week, I get a call from him, he tells me he has an opening that same day. I was totally not expecting that. It definitely shows a level of professionalism and dedication to his clients. I Went there that same day, was in n out in less than an hour and I could not be happier with my tattoo. WOW! Leading up to my 18th birthday, I had spent quite some time researching & reading reviews trying to decide where to get my first tattoo, and from all of my research, I decided to book at Classic. The 5-star reviews don't even do this place justice. I was SO impressed from the first interaction I had with the team to the very last. I made an appointment a few weeks ago because this tattoo was planned, but they are readily available to accommodate walk-in guests! My artist was Bucky, and he did a phenomenal job with my design. I already had an image picked out, but he really took his service the extra mile by recommending a minor change that made me love the design even more! When it came time to head into the back, he was so encouraging and really put me at ease throughout the entire process. It wasn't super busy, so I had a chance to chat with both Bucky and the owner Tim as I was getting situated, and they were so friendly and personable. So i've been planning to get a tattoo for years, roughly about 10 years or so.  But I could not find a tattoo shop or an artist that I felt I could trust.  I guess I was worried about being inked with something I wouldn't like for the rest of my life.  But after doing some research on yelp and instagram, I came across Classic Tattoo.  I decided to follow their instagram page.  I became a fan of Tim Hendrick's, Chuco Moreno and Javi DeLuna.  I visited the shop, and asked to make an appointment with Javi De Luna.  After making an initial deposit, my appointment was locked in.  Javi did an awesome job.  And as my first tattoo, he was very comforting and alway checked in on how I was doing.  Extremely professional and made some recommendations on what made my tattoo come out awesome!I believe they are fairly priced, based on other shops i've requested quotes with.  The shop is very cool.  There is no BS about it!  As soon as you walk in, you know these guys are serious about tattooing!  I would highly recommend this shop and if your looking for a great tattoo artist, consider making an appointment with Javi. This is already an incredibly established parlor and probably doesn't need this review to validate it as a great place to get some ink. But, here we go anyway!After reading all these great reviews, my friends and I decided last minute to get some tattoos. Walked in with a party of 3 on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn't too busy, but we still had a bit of a wait. Showed a picture of what I wanted done to the apprentice, and he took it directly back to the artist to draw something up. We went back and forth with a few edits and ideas, but this was discussed through only the medium of the apprentice. I have a few tattoos and every time I've discussed what I want, I've discussed it with the actual artists, so that was somewhat new to me. This shop is known for its classic work and two out of the three of us were getting simple fine lines. Nevertheless, they came out great! My best friend and I were lucky enough to be tattooed by John Troeller who has great work and an awesome table-side manner. He was fun to talk to and put us both at ease. My boyfriend was tattooed by Lindsey Carmichael who has a large following on Instagram and for a good reason. His work is amazing and my boyfriend's tattoo is beautiful! It's great that an artist with this rapport  still takes walk-ins alongside his appointments. If I look to get another tattoo in the Fullerton area, this will forsure be the place. I've gone here a few times, always with Bill Wang. The shop is clean, everyone is friendly, professional and I always feel welcomed.Ironically Bill used to tattoo in my hometown up north and I trusted his skill as I had prior concerns with my skin color. Previous work I've gotten from other tattoo artists have audibly complained how difficult it is to tattoo on "dark skin." I wanted to get my first tattoo on my uncle's birthday to commemorate his life. I didn't make an appointment anywhere, it was just a spur of the moment. I was like well where should I even get it? I thought to myself, well what better place than my hometown. So I searched tattoo shops in Fullerton and classic tattoo had a ton of good reviews so I said this is it. The shop itself is clean and people were nice but to fuck up a simple tattoo is just not ok  This picture is going on three weeks now and still have extensive scabbing. This is not my first tattoo and I know how to properly care for them after, edges are not clean and ink has bled. I had to reflect a bit about my experience before writing this review. Had a bit of a rough start but overall I am very happy with my tattoo. Classic definitely doesn't need any more reviews...it's pretty much a well-known and regarded shop in Orange County...I just like sharing my experiences. So...After 5 years since moving to Philly, this was my first visit back home...a very important visit back home...at a pivotal point in my life. Originally, I had reached out to Tim Hendricks to see if he'd have some time to do a small palm tree for me. He was quick to respond the first time but we never confirmed a date/time. Fast forward to when I was in CA and I reached back out to him and didn't hear back. I understand though...I figured he'd be very busy, but there was a reason why I wanted to get this tattoo at Classic. So on a day I was hanging out with a friend in Fullerton, we decided to stop in and see if anyone would have time to do it. While the greeting we received from Tim and the guy working the front was friendly and welcoming, it slowly changed...for a second. Admittedly, I didn't put much thought behind this tattoo because I figured it is small and would be pretty easy to do. I guess that's where the "issue" lay. I can tell that there was frustration towards me not understanding properly what I was asking for and what can be done. But we pushed through and past it. The artist who did this significant tattoo for me? A prominent artist by the name of Lindsey Carmichael. NBD. Honestly, I don't know that you can get a bad tattoo from any of the artists here. Well...Lindsey was able to draw up something very simple but also visually interesting in a few minutes, I kid you not! This is why certain artists have the reputation that they do and achieve their stature. It's pretty amazing how quick and easy it was for him to draw up something that I like. Getting the tattoo was also very quick and I enjoyed our brief conversations. First time visits are always a bit awkward because it's kind of when you feel them out, right? If they'll be a good fit or not. Well, I can easily say that I will be back to Lindsey. Not only is he an amazing artist, he just seems like a really interesting person with a kind soul. This shop is what all tattoo shops should try to be.  A perfect combination of traditional tattoo shop atmosphere and present day customer service.  Every one of the artist are some of the best around. The shop is filled like a museum of historical tattoo art and memorabilia.  It was so nice to look around the shop at all the different art and history while I was being tattooed.  It made the time fly during the session.  That being said it is super clean and very well maintained.  All the artists will take the time to collaborate with you on what you are hoping to get and do their best to deliver.  The shop delivers in service, quality and reasonable pricing.  A triple combo that is a rare thing today.  I got an amazing chest piece from Tim and the entire experience was beyond my expectations.  From making the appointment, to collaborating on the final art, to the actual session.  I only wish I had more room on my body for more pieces from any of the artists at the shop. Truly the best tattoo experience I have ever had!!  I recently got an incredible black rose from Lindsey Carmichael and I am so happy!  I was familiar with the shop and with Lindsey for quite some time, and I always had a feeling that Lindsey would do my next tattoo.  When I got to the shop, I felt good vibes right away, and that was from the time I got there until the time I left.  He gave me size options, and placed the rose on my leg exactly like I wanted and asked for.  Lindsey is super talented and it's so obvious how much he loves what he does.  Not only that, he is a real and true gentleman.  When he asked the shop helper for more black ink, he was so respectful and said "please" and "thanks for your help." That really stuck with me.  I have definitely had some not great experiences at other shops with other artists, and this was a totally different deal.To top it all off, the shop uses a special healing, clear wrap for the brand new ink and no kidding, when I took the wrap off four days later exactly was I was told, the thing was practically healed, and on the first night especially, I never had that crazy burning feeling.  That product is amazing.Highly, highly recommend!!!!  Lindsey is the best! Getting a tattoo no matter how many you have is exciting. If it's by someone you don't know brings a little bit of anxiousness and second-guessing. Classic Tattoo is a very storied shop; at least in Fullerton and Orange County.  My wife got her first tattoo just before she turned 50 and Gabe Munoz killed it. I was there right when it started but had to leave. When I came home, she was very excited. The tattoo came out, and she loved the whole experience.I am having a tattoo done by Tim Hendricks. I love the city I live in, Fullerton, and for years I've longed for a tattoo representing Fullerton by Tim and Classic. I shared with Tim what I was looking for, and I gave him a lot of freedom because I trusted his work. He has made a very personal and meaningful tattoo even more significant. He used artwork that his dad did of Fullerton which was a surprise and has made the tattoo and experience more meaningful than I expected. The tattoo is beyond my expectations and imagination. (I'll post a photo when it's finished.) I'm not only impressed with his work, but by the other artists, I've witnessed while getting my tattoo done. I've had two sitting so far and not only are all the artist incredibly talented, but they are amazing with other customers. There were returning costumers, and first-time costumers and each was treated with an incredible amount of care, patience, and hospitality. My brother was killed in a car accident in August. I wanted to honor his military service by supporting a veteran-owned shop and I was referred to Classic Tattoo through an American Legion post that I frequent. I met Joe Rouhana the day after I put my deposit down and the experience couldn't have been better. It had been two weeks to the day since my brother passed and he was gracious and kept the atmosphere light and fun, as well as the other gentlemen in the shop. It was extremely healing and I deeply appreciated the change of energy. The session was about an hour and relatively easy. I almost cried when I saw the finished product, it was beyond perfect and better than I imagined. Thank you to everyone that helped me laugh through a hard time but especially thank you to Joe for your kindness and condolences before we said goodbye, that meant more that you took the extra minute to show your care than I could ever explain. I had a few bad experiences at other shops before I came to my senses and booked an appointment here. I live quite far and they were extremely helpful with email and quotes. I came in and they quickly quoted me gave me a few choices for who'd be there today, and I booked. Showed up today and the shop was ready, the artist was set up and ready. Came in for a walk in on Saturday 6/23/18 to get some work done I've been wanting for awhile. I had looked at some reviews here on Yelp and didn't really have any particular artist in mind because I was pretty much satisfied with everyone's work at the shop. Choosing an artist was more about availability. Joe Rouhana was available and took good care of me. I showed him the a picture of the tattoo I wanted and told him I wasn't too sure about some of the design and if he had any ideas or suggestions I was open to them. So he came up with a slightly different version of his own. I have to say I'm really satisfied with the work and how fast Joe works. Had it done in less than two hours. My husband went in to get a tattoo. The guy in the front was a little rude. When we were asking about an appointment and giving an idea of what my husband wanted he kept reiterating that it was expensive and if we weren't ready than we could come back another time. If we were there it was because we had the money. I do think he was judging and in a environment like that he will get different people from different walks of life. He just needs to do his job I think he felt we were wasting his time. Well my husband made an appointment with Joe, he was great. He was very helpful and fast. He even did some research to make sure he made the tattoo what is was supposed to be. My husband was happy with the tattoo and he will be getting another one. I have had a few bad experiences with Tattoos where you come in with a specific idea and the artist just does what they want . Can we just talk about Joe for a second?I came in as a walk in, and the customer service is top knotch! Isaac is a solid dude, and quoted me, then gave me a call to come back a little under an hour later. Here's where the magic happened. I talked to Joe about what I wanted with a picture for a general idea, and what I wanted done differently. I gave him free range to personalize it to HIS liking as much as he'd like with my little bit of criteria, and he sent Isaac back with the design in two sizes.  He helped me decide where to put it, and got to work. Let me tell you, this man works FAST! He was done in under an hour and a half.  I was so happy when he was done I could cry. I got a snake and dagger on my leg yesterday from Tim Hendricks. It was an amazing experience that I'll never forget. The shop is clean and well lit. Plenty of free parking across the street and there's a great pizza place right next door. What else do you need? The entire vibe of the place is great. Good tunes, comfortable chairs and friendly people. You can tell everyone there loves what they do. No attitude at all, just really good guys that love tattooing. Tim Hendricks is obviously amazing, (if you don't know him, check out this work,) but I also saw a few other tattoos being done while I was there and they were all really amazing. It seems like whoever you end up working with, you'll be very well taken care of. I'd recommend this shop in heart beat. Just went to see Bucky here for my third tattoo. I've gone back to him each time for two main reasons. 1. I like him. He's good people. No hipster nonsense - His approach is understated and professional. 2. He's really good at his job! He knows his stuff and gives me useful input with each design. I like pretty tattoos - flowers and butterflies and whatnot. He listens to my ideas without airs or judgement, then he explains the best way to go about giving me what I want. He does clean lines and beautiful color gradients. After 10 something years, my first tattoo is still crisp and vibrant. I recently brought my husband to Bucky also, and he did a great black and grey piece. Husband is very happy. We'll both be back again in the future. And the shop is nice too. I used to go with friends there back around 1991 or so. It hasn't changed much since then. Its clean, professional, and they play good music at a reasonable volume. Would recommend. Read Less

Am getting all my work done here it's by far the best in the OC!!!... it's been a while since I got my tat. But working on getting another soon. The guys are awesome there friendly professional pros and walk you though everything. Been getting tattoos since I have been 18.  There are good artist and bad ones like everything else.   For my 65th birthday I was going to get the best to do it.   I researched and found Mr. Tim Hendricks.  He was very personable and listened carefully as I explained to him what I was looking for.  I had to make an appointment in Sept for an appointment in Dec. but it was well worth it.  He killed it,  it is friggin awesome and I get nothing but compliments.  Tim is the man!! Got my first tattoo here and it was an awesome experience. I set up an appointment with Tim and gave him an idea of what I wanted. He put an awesome twist of his own creativity in it and I had to have it. All of the guys at the shop were super friendly and easy to talk to. They would come by every now and then to check out the progress on my tattoo as tim would work on it. This is the cherry on top that I feel really sets Classic Tattoo and the guys that work there apart from all tattoo shops (granted, this is the only one I've ever been to): while I was getting my tattoo done, my motorcycle helmet was stolen off my bike that was parked right outside of the shop. I couldn't believe it. I was super upset. Tim told me not to worry, he had one I could borrow! I followed him to his house and he hooked me up! What a class act! He told me to return it whenever is convenient for me and that there was no rush to bring it back immediately. Talk about customer service! On the real, personally, tattoo shops are intimidating as shit. But, I finally mustered my nonexistent balls to walk in. KAY.. FIRST, these guys, especially Joe, HELLA nice and SUPER patient. They're kinda like heavily tatted teddy bears. SECOND, I love what Joe did for me. OH and it didn't hurt! Maybe a little. I wish I would've gone here for my first tattoo. I've lived in the area for 20+ years so I decided to stay local for my 3rd tattoo. My sister decided to join me and get her first tattoo. By far the coolest session I've had yet. My sister had an amazing experience and I'm so happy she had her 1st tattoo here. I can't wait to see what we get at our next session here! My sister chose a monarch butterfuly for our first tattoo together. I got tattooed by Bucky Crispin. My sister got tattooed by Javier. They tattooed us at the same time. Bucky Crispin did an amazing job. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire session.Easy to find location. Plenty of parking in the area. (We went on a Monday.) Hands down the best tattoo experience I've ever had. My wife and I went to get rose tattoos on a Sunday afternoon and both decided we'd never go anywhere else to get tattooed. The guys there are all very accommodating  and supportive not only of the clients, but of each other. The music was great, the atmosphere was very welcoming and everybody who came through enjoyed themselves. My mom, dad, and I got tattoos for my 18th birthday here. Joe did our tattoos and he was great! The tattoos came out amazingly and he was very nice, especially since it was my first tattoo. My mom and I got matching tattoos on the tops of our feet ($150 each), my dad got my mom's name on his chest ($100 but originally $120), and they threw in the stars on my wrist for free! Great experience. Went with my two best friends to get matching tattoos. For two of us, it was our first tattoo. Jeff and Javier were phenomenal, made us feel super comfortable. Patient, kind, efficient, super helpful. All three of us are nurses and so cleanliness is imperative-- the shop is SPOTLESS, all protocols followed, gave us great instructions for caring for the tattoo in the first few days. I first came in here about 2 1/2 months ago to get my first tattoo on the way to completing a full sleeve. Everyone in the shop is incredibly nice and knowledgeable.  My artist, John Troeller is incredibly talented and passionate about his work. We have completed all the outlining and are moving into color now and it looks more amazing every session.As someone new to the tattoo world, I can tell you there is no reason to feel intimidated going into this shop. Okay well let me just tell you who ever rates this tattoo parlor a 2 or 3 star you must be nuts this parlor deserve a 5. I had read the reviews before getting my first tattoo and I had a high expectation and It was met some and more the artist are very professional and the atmosphere is really mellow since this was my first tattoo I was sooo nervous and excited and when entering this shop I was set at easy with the easy going attitude. I had gone in for a four inch by four inch tattoo at the side of my left hip since it was my first time every getting a tattoo, the artist was there to calm me down if i was nervous the whole experience was so great my tattoo artist was so easy to talk to and the other artists were funny but still kept it professional my tattoo came out awesome! It did not hurt as much as I thought it would and over all just a really good experience I would highly recommend this tattoo parlor to others! I got a tattoo here about a year ago...I originally had an appointment at Future Tattoo, and when I showed up for my appointment, they said "Oh, we forgot to call you and tell you he had to reschedule." Well, that really pissed me off and I was in "tattoo mode" and also because I had driven 30 miles. So I drove into downtown Fullerton because I knew there was a lot of places around there, and stumbled upon Classic Tattoo. Since it was a Friday night and I did not have an appointment, I had to wait about 45 minutes until I got in the tattoo chair, but it was totally worth the wait. My artist was John Troeller...he did SUCH an amazing job. It was just an all-black tattoo, about 5"x5" on my lower back. I was so impressed by the detail of the tattoo and the speed in which he finished it. Now, I am going back to him tomorrow to get my 3rd tattoo! I can't wait! DEFINITELY recommend the place--and see John! I've had some friends who have gone to him and have all been extremely happy with their results. I had never had a tattoo before. My sister and I wanted to get matching tattoos and we already had a design in mind. We had gone to another tattoo shop first where the artist was very zen, and tried to talk us out of first our placement and then our design trying to get us to buy one of her designs, that would end up costing a lot more than we had wanted to spend, besides the fact that they were very generic. We were trying to combine elements from our indian and celtic heritage. instead of even looking at what we wanted she proceeded to try and sell us her indian designs which i have to say were designs of indian heritage by people who didn't know anything about it. very ""how white man"" . We left and saw the Classic tattoo studio up the street I had been in there once for the taste of fullerton nights and has met a couple of the artists there. When we went in we showed them the pictures of what we wanted and the guy we were talking to went and got one of the arists who then designed a tattoo based on what we showed him. It was gorgeous!! My sister and I loved it and they made up two stencils of it and we sat down and they started. The artist who did mine was Shawn and he started out really slow so that i could get accustomed to the pain (it is on my inner wrist). He was very considerate during the tattooing and the shop was very clean. My sister and I are both in the medical feild and we felt comfortable with their safety and cleanliness there. I got two tats there about a year and a half ago within a month of each other both from different artists and both are amazing and awesome. every day people ask where i got them and i always recommend these guys. when someone asks which artist i tell them any of them they all rock. even after a year the tats look like i just got them a couple months ago. my friend just got his very first tattoo and asked me where he should go of course i sent him here. now i have the money for a new one and you can bet I'm going back to these guys. i trust them 100% with any work i get done. i don't think i would ever go anywhere else. knowing the quality of your artists work is very important when it comes to tats and these guys win hands down. i had a large tattoo done near my breast and guy named frank did it. he was wonderful and very sensitive to my privacy, although i believe it was more for his sake than mine. the parlor was sterile and the service was wonderful and quick, as was the post-care instructions. The price was also a deal for the size and placement of my tattoo. Highly reccommended! Read Less

I have eight tattoos so far and five of them are from this place.....they are extremly talented here no matter who you choose, and very nice, some tattoo place make you feel like you shouldnt be there, are are a little intimadating, but they are really cool at classic, Ive recommeded this place to every one I know.
