Scheduled an appointment to get two small tattoos done with my girlfriend, her first-my third. This was the best experience I've had with a tattoo artist. I got my first tattoo at True Anchor in Fresno and it was also really great; but the time the artist at Resistance took to talk with us about our tattoos really made a big difference in how comfortable she was to get her first one. I was getting one on my inner arm and knew it would hurt but he helped me relax for it and made it a really good experience for both of us. Both tattoos turned out great and we'll definitely be going back to him for more soon!

We went to 5 other tattoo shops, all of them were unprofessional and over priced. Ended up at Resistance tattoo and customer service was excellent. Jay did my tattoo, very cool guy. I absolutely love it, he made sure it was exactly what I wanted. Prices are very reasonable too. I highly recommend Resistance tattoo.

I got my first tattoo today--a cute angelfish on my instep. I am so happy with the tattoo and my experience here. Jace did a great job. If I get another tattoo it will definitely be here with Jace.

Great shop. Got 2 pieces done by shawnessy. Nice artist, made conversation. The shop is cramped but not in a way that makes the experience bad. I plan on returning soon

Definitely the best shop in the valley, I have worked with J and Cat and they ALWAYS exceed expectations! Amazing quality work, clean shop, respectful artists. This shop has everything a tattoo shop should have. This is definitely the place to go if you're looking to get tattooed in the valley.

Went to Resistance Tattoo for my first tattoo over five years ago and I still would not go anywhere else. Superb quality, great customer service and very clean. You cannot find that type of quality anywhere else and that's what makes the shop stand out.

I was going to get my first tattoo and the owner "J" was highly recommended to me so I was confident I would get the tattoo I wanted and it would be done well. When I first saw it I was still so pump...
I was going to get my first tattoo and the owner "J" was highly recommended to me so I was confident I would get the tattoo I wanted and it would be done well. When I first saw it I was still so pumped up on adrenaline that I thought I liked it but by the next day when I'd had time to look at it I realized it was NOTHING like what I'd wanted and I'm no expert but even I could see that it it was executed very poorly.
Months later I ended up having to go somewhere else to at least get it cleaned up so it does look somewhat better but I still hate to even look at it because it's not what I wanted and the whole design is ugly.
From the minute I walked in the shop "J" was very arrogant and rude so I should have just left then but I was so excited to be getting my meaningful tattoo that I stayed and even waited well over an hour past my appointment time while he got his supplies ready. In hindsight now I truly wish I had never let him put anything on my body because it was supposed to be a beautiful tribute piece and it looks nothing like that. In fact I've even had people say it looks like a prison tattoo.
Other people swear by "J"
and I have seen pictures of work he has done that was nice so I don't know if he was just having an off day but I would never take the chance that he'd have another day like that and let him desecrate my body again.
Because of my experience with him I was afraid to ever get another tattoo but I was lucky enough to find a very talented artist who did their best to repair the shoddy work I originally got so now I have someone I trust to do my next tattoos.

I got my first tattoo at True Anchor in Fresno and it was also really great; but the time the artist at Resistance took to talk with us about our tattoos really made a big difference in how comfortable she was to get her first one.
